Big Grin

The sable-shaded woman trudged into the mansion slowly, feeling rather defeated. Her time alone had done nothing but increase the tumultuous freefalling feeling in her chest; she could not help but feel she was going to lose control soon. What little she had left felt loose and barely there anyway; it would not take much for the sable-shaded woman to snap. She meandered up the stairs slowly. Itzcitla had tailed her all the way to the mansion, but the cat had not deigned to follow her right inside, and so Eris had left him out there. He found his own way in, anyway, and she needed only let him into her room itself.

Eris yelped and leapt back, growling loudly. A small, black and white creature scurried across the hall, and the hybrid snarled at it, leaping forward and delivering a swift, lucky kick that sent the thing flying. It hit the wall with a thud and slid down, leaving a streak of red behind afterward. It twitched once upon reaching the floor, and was still. A smirk came to the sable-shaded coyote's face, and she twirled around once, laughing to herself. “Stupid rat,” she spat, the sable tip of her tail twitching as she made her way over to the dead creature. She picked it up; it was still warm to the touch. One of its eyes had gone red and leaked blood; the same red fluid dripped steadily from the tiny creature's nose, running down the woman's wrist and arm in a tiny rivulet.

She was doing her best these days to turn things right. A warm flush accompanied her whenever she glanced down on the gold and ruby dragon bracelet embracing her wrist. How could someone continue to make her so happy even when they weren't there? She was seated on the floor, patting the silky pelt of a rat. She had offered them little love lately, but she had spent time hunting many of them down. Most fled from her, but some did not. They would remember her. She would not forget them again. They were still useful. Days were tranquil without her son's constant presence. She cherished those short hours he spent with his great-grandmother. It was for the best.

Stairs cracked wearily as someone approached. She could feel her heart flutter in anticipation. Perhaps it was Silas. Two fingers gently brushed against the rodent's fur and it shot off, racing across the floor and out into the hallway through the ajar bedroom door. They were such useful creatures, it was a shame she had not used them much during the war with Dahlia de Mai. Then there was a sound. The Lykoi's oversized ears stood attention at once. Without a sound, the warrior rose from the wooden floor and tiptoed to peek out from her bedroom. What she saw was enough, and she saw red.

The door slammed against the wall as the Hydra flung it wide open and stomped over to the black woman she knew only by name. Did she not know that the rodents here were NOT to be touched?! "What the FUCK do you think you're doing, bitch?" The crimson eyed female growled, glaring at the woman's snake eyes. A hand forcefully reached for the murdered rodent. There was no way this Eris fucking Lykoi was going to take its body as well.

HDU!!!!

It had been more of a reaction than anything—of course Eris knew the rats in the house were Halo's, but she had seen them prior to leaving, and she did not like them. Itzcitla did not like that he was not permitted to hunt them, but the sable-shaded canine could not control the feline's every action—if he had taken one or two out, good riddance. The sable-shaded canine glared at the little body angrily, sneering at it. She ought to just leave it somewhere for the yet unknown keeper to find; the sable-shaded woman knew she was related to Halo, but she had liked few of her relatives thus far—what was another Lykoi, anyway? There were so goddamn many of them, blood shouldn't have even mattered at this point.

The sounds of an approach drew Eris's attention, but too late; even as she drew the rat's body behind her back, standing with both arms held behind her like a moron, she knew she'd been caught. Eris assumed this was Halo, and she dropped her arms to the side, still clutching the rat half-behind her thigh possessively. The unknown woman was angry, and she yelled and cursed—rather than take a moment to act intelligently, the sable-shaded woman reacted to being cursed at, and she growled, taking long steps backwards and away from the woman as she grabbed for the rat. “Go away! If you don't want your stupid pets getting stomped on keep them away from me!” she yelled back, stamping her foot in the way someone a quarter of her age wouldn't.

She snarled as the small body was brought out of immediate reach. Then, tranquility hit her and the young Lykoi knew that she was in control. She shifted her weight and looked at the black wolf before her. Yes, Eris looked more wolf than coyote. It must make her life hard, to know that her blood was tainted with so much filth. Samael was truly a cruel sire, but his blood was pure and beautiful and it ran through his daughter. He tilted her head almost curiously as those eyes in the colour of freshly drawn blood took in the woman that seemed to think she was a princess. They shared Kaena's blood, but nothing more. The Mansion had been the Hydra's home first and that gave her certain rights. This ... wolf had rudely paraded in and brought trouble.

Her glare shifted to the wall next to where the two canines were standing. Quite a peculiar, crimson line there. Eyes returned to the black Inferni member. "Give me the rodent." she warned, lips tight over jagged, angry fangs. "And then you can get the fuck out of this house if you can't live with my rules," Her dark tail swung smoothly behind her, but Halo was deadly serious. This bitch could not come here and make up her own laws just because she had an Inferni tag over her head and Kaena's blood.

Big Grin

It had been a reaction of anger and isolation, an expression of everything that was wrong in Eris. It had felt damn good to throw the stupid fucking rat at the wall anyway, to hear that thud and that tiny crack as whatever vital part of the small creature shattered. A cruel smile drew across her sable lips, and her sharp teeth showed toward the other woman. Eris was no good judge of ages, but even she could see Halo was younger than her, and she would not have someone her junior bossing her around. The sable-shaded woman glared at the other canine as she spoke, that cruel sneer still plastered on her muzzle. “Who says you make the fucking rules anyway? Stupid girl. You want it so bad? Have it,” she said, cocking her arm back and flinging the tiny corpse at Halo's face as hard as she possibly could. Eris didn't have much of an arm, but they weren't standing that far away from one another, either.

Teeth were bared as the snobby bitch's voice rang loudly in the tense air. A few seconds after the rat's cooling corpse was flung in her face. The copper hued woman's muzzle--scattered with crimson from her pet--snapped back as her boiling eyes returned to the black woman's form. The rat had hit the area between her muzzle and her chin. Now the tiny body was sprawled on the floor. Halo had always had a horrible temper, and she often fought to keep it at bay. There was no desire for her to hold back now. She wanted Samael's madness to possess her. Who the fuck did this slut think she was? Both twin swords as well as the little dagger kept in the pouch she usually wore were left inside her room, but she did not need weapons to deal with an insolent, spoiled brat.

She had nothing more she wished to say to Eris. Swift footsteps brought her up close to the woman. Her left palm lifted and targeted the black woman's face. Eris had probably time to see the slap coming, and that was all right, because Halo would not start this with maiming the other's face. The first move was there only to distract. The true blow targeted the black woman's abdomen in form of a clutched right handed first.

In hindsight, maybe it hadn't been a good idea to kill the rat. It was probably and even worse idea to throw the corpse at Halo's face, but the sable-shaded woman was fuming mad beyond caring, too. She didn't live by anyone else's goddamn rules; the only person here she even had to listen to was Gabriel, and she hadn't seen hide or hair of him since moving in. As far as she was concerned, he was a non-issue. This house wasn't Halo's; Eris lived here, too, and she refused to let it get overrun with nasty little rodents.

Eris wasn't capable of defending herself against much of anything, let alone a trained warrior, one who had learned to kill at an early age. The sable-shaded woman backed up to no avail, as she had reached the end of that particular hallway; her back to the wall, there was nowhere to go and nothing to do but face the crimson-eyed woman. Eris thought about jumping into one of the rooms and locking the door, but she'd have to come out sometime, then. The other canine made her intentions clear, the fist flying for the sable woman's face. Eris ducked her head to the side, but just as the coyote hybrid's fist sailed past her face, another socked her in the stomach, knocking a yelp and a breath of air out of her.

Reeling for a moment, the sable-shaded canine reached forward blindly. Her fingers lit on a chunk of the other canine's hair, and Eris yanked, hard.

It was not often that she actually got into a serious fight. Right now though, Halo could not care less. She was a warrior and standing tall in the hierarchy while Eris was not much more than the thing she had just killed: a little, disgusting rodent. Halo firmly believed in her rights. She had been the first to settle here and the boys that had arrived after her seemed all too willing to dance after her flute. If Eris has such issues with the rodents roaming the area near their owner's room then perhaps she should have reconsidered having her room located where she would have to pass Halo's residence. The house was large and the only place the rodents roamed was in the basement stuck in cages or close to the room where the hydra lived. No, the whore had killed her rodent in cold blood, and Halo could bet that fucking retard cat of hers had its share of her ratts as well.

Her fist pummeled into the black woman's belly and there was a vicious grin stretched across that beautiful face now. This felt fucking good. This was not only Eris Lykoi standing before her. Everything twisted and cruel that had happened in her life--she needed to vent and rid herself of that negative energy. Eris' had pissed off the wrong Inferni member. Black fingers grabbed for soft copper hair and Halo snarled as a handful of air was surely yanked out. Fuck. Her own hands grabbed for Eris' own thick mane, but not quite so blindly. Ruby eyes watered as pain caressed her skull. The hit in the woman's middle floor had done its job, and by the hair, she pulled the woman's head down with a forceful yank just as aimed her knee at the her face.

Success! A chunk of hair came loose in Eris's hand, and she triumphantly clutched onto this, flailing her hands madly around the other canine. There was no style nor any serious damage done by any of the light blows Eris struck; the sable-shaded canine simply did not know how to fight, and this was her absolute best effort. For all her rage and all her bitterness, she had done almost no damage to the other canine. The other canine's fingers laced into Eris's relatively short hair and yanked downward, forcing the sable-shaded canine's head with it; too late, she saw the other woman's knee heading upward. Stars exploded before the Equites's eyes, and she went limp, falling to the floor. Her head jerked violently as she fell, as of course Halo hadn't yet released her hair, and a chunk of Eris's own mane came out, and then the canine was on the floor, out cold. Her eyes fluttered open almost immediately, and she reached upward again, swiping her claws at the Halo's knees, aiming to draw blood.

The spot where the hair had been yanked out ached and burned. Soon she would discover a fine line of blood staining her beautiful autumn colours, but she did not spend time on lesser details. The black woman's hands and claws flailed around madly, dealing light damage wherever her nails struck the Hydra's flesh. Halo was ignorant of this--felt only pure satisfaction as her knee connected with the bitch's face. The larger body went limp and fell to the ground. Black hair was still clutched in the younger female's grasp and she shook the tuffs off. Poison green eyes opened below her, and the exotic warrior female heard laughter spilling out of her own mouth. Eris had a steel tongue for certain, but what a fucking loser.

Mercilessly, Halo dropped down on top of the larger female, grinning wildly as her knuckles struck at Eris' face repeatedly, making such a mess. She cared little about the shallow cuts that her aunt's claws managed to risp into flesh. It was nothing compared to what Eris currently went through. Scratches would heal nicely. Whatever remained would be hidden behind her rich fur. Eris would not be able to hide her face after this. Would the bitch continue to be so tough if she could no longer talk, no longer smile, no longer see? Only Kaena would be able to love this daughter after Halo's fists were done.

Though there was usually no reason for Gabriel to go to the Mansion, since his daughter’s return he had wanted to ensure things were settling for her. Something had seemed...well, off. He had likened it to the doubt of his fathering instincts, but the tick would not leave him and so he had come to see if she had returned to the house that she and her brother had spent so much time in. It was a nice day; the air was not unbearibly hot and a cool breeze carried itself from the bay to the west. Gabriel was pleased with the weather, and it made his mood considerably cheerier then it had been in days.

On two legs, Gabriel moved into the building and began sniffing the air. He did not have to wait long before the scent of blood flooded into his nose and a muffled ruckus announced itself. It took only a few seconds for the Aquila to clear the steps, and when he reached the top, the situation was apparent. Without a second thought the coy-wolf grabbed his neice by the arm and yanked her off the dark woman abruptly. Enough,” he ordered, voice a crack of thunder against the sudden stillness of the hallway.

There was simply nothing the sable-shaded canine could do; she was incapable of defending herself against much of anything, let alone Halo. As the other canine clambered on top of her and began punching, the sable shaded hybrid could only throw her hands up over her face, trying to block as many of the blows as she could, sadly failing far more often than she succeeded; stars and birds danced in front of her eyes, and she lost consciousness for a few seconds once more, waking in time to hear a deeper male voice in the hallway, sort of feeling the weight lift off of her torso and ribcage as Halo was pulled off of her. Woozily, the sable-shaded woman rolled over, climbing back to her feet slowly, clutching her face gingerly all the way. Her chartreuse-shaded eyes burned hate toward the cinnamon-shaded woman, hardly so much as noticing her elder half-brother. She had not seen him since she came back, and she hardly knew him besides—just another Lykoi, as far as she was concerned. Lifting one of her bloodied and already swelling lips to both of them, she growled at both of them, realizing she couldn't return to her room until they both moved. She wanted nothing more than to sink onto her bed and sleep away the next week of soreness and pain.

She was yanked off the defeated form by a man dressed in various earthen colours. Her frown faded from her features and she became still, adrenaline rush present only in her rushed breath. Her eyes did not reach for the Aquila’s, but danced away as she dipped her maw to him in quiet respect. It was a shame that he had caught her at her worst. She took pride in the belief that she was a warrior of Inferni and this was the first time she had flown on a member in rage. It did not make it any better, but she did not regret her actions. Her knuckles felt moist, and she could not fully hide the touch of satisfaction at the damage she had done.

She refrained from gloating openly however, and fully ignored Eris as she got up on her feet and bared her teeth at her. Her full attention remained on Gabriel de le Poer, her posture submissive as she waited for whatever he had to say. Ruby gaze darted to the lifeless form of the rodent. The bitch had it coming, openly disrespecting a hydra in such a way. She bore the princess title as Kaena’s daughter, but it was a shallow crown without value.

Are you guys okay continuing in this thread? Say Sie and I go a few rounds and then Libri and I wrap it up?

Almost as soon as Halo had realized who had grabbed her, Gabriel sensed the change in her body and released her. Like all of the Hydra, the girl knew that his word was law. He had chosen the three of them because of this, fighting prowess aside. Anyone could fight. It took skill to be able to obey any and all commands given by their leader. Yet for the time being, his attention was locked on his half-sister.

Eris looked wild. Gabriel recognized the panic in her form. Yet despite the fact he had little interaction (and less love) for the wolf (for he knew, as they all had, she was not a coyote) his duty as a medical officer was to ensure she was not grievously wounded. “Halo,” he said without looking at her. “Go wait for me outside.” While this was her home as well, he intended to separate the two as best he could before their fight resumed. As the Hydra left them, he did not move—he did not trust what Eris might do.

“Calm down,” the Aquila said lowly. Though this was not an order, it was still gruff. “Let me look at your wounds and tell me what happened.”

Breaking posting order to have her move outside.

Obediently, the Lykoi woman did as the Aquila commanded. Without dignifying Eris with another glance, the copper pelted woman elegantly turned and padded away on light feet. Her departing form hesitated only long enough to pick up the sad corpse of her pet. Eris would never get to touch the poor thing again. She darted down the stairs and into the daylight outside. It was a silly thing to walk about with a cooling rat corpse, but she would not decide what to do with her pet yet. Sitting down on the porch, she left the limb body in her lap.

Pain pulsed where hair and skin had been forcefully removed from her scalp. A palm rose to experimentally press against the sore area and the pain was flared up worse. The woman did not make a sound despite this though. It was only pain. What made it so much worse was that her beautiful hair was stained with dirt and coagulating blood. She could not tell how much hair had been lost, but she would have to somehow deal with it. She knew that there was little a good brush could not do, but it would take time to heal and so much longer for new hair to grow out. Fucking bitch..

Strange exhaustion swept over Eris, and she simply gaped at both canines, the desire to retreat back to her room growing stronger with each passing second. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other, leaning against the wall. Though it looked a rather passive, aloof pose, it was more to keep her balance and keep from wobbling all over the hall. Had she all her strength and her intact face, there would have been an epic rage-storm from the sable-shaded hybrid. As it was, however, she hadn't the energy to hold herself upright, let alone fight the powers that be.

What happened next genuinely surprised her, however, and it showed in the awkward look upon her face, widened eyes and slightly agape jaw—though, admittedly, part of this was being unable to fully close it, though there was genuine shock in her. Though the sable-shaded hybrid recognized the authority in the her half-brother's voice, this was not what had astounded her so much. Rather than instantaneously scold her, the burned-gold hybrid had sent Halo away, and he had asked about her wounds. Small a gesture as this was, and perhaps out of duty rather than sympathy, the sable-shaded canine mistook it as such regardless. It was maybe the largest kindness she had seen since returning here, though of course, Eris's perspective on life was rather skewed—she'd been offered food, an escort to a distant pack; she had met at least one canine that she genuinely liked who was not, in fact, related to her.

Rather than remain where she was, the shadow-furred woman stepped forward, her steps rather shaky and unbalanced. Rather than try to retain her balance in front of him, she sank to the floor as gracefully as possible, though the descent ended up being much quicker than she intended. It made her dizzy, and she remained hunched over a moment, half-clenching her jaw, though doing so only intensified the pain around her muzzle and elicited a faint whimper from her. The sable-shaded Equites straightened up as best she could, and lifted her arm to point toward the streak of red on the wall. “I got mad at the rat,” she said, too disoriented or too intimidated to lie to him.
