waste of a week

Keychain stepped very carefully. The dirty sand was thrown around by her paws, and a jagged rock almost cut her paw with its sharp edge, but she did not step so carelessly. She avoided the sharp edge, ears down. The only reason she had wondered out of Inferni was she needed some adventure. It could get boring staying in one place all the time. She needed something new. Key was so deep in thought she tripped. 'Oh, this is gonna hurt...' She saved herself by rolling, but as she put her back down something sharp quickly made her shout

''Ow!''

The girl got up and tried hard to look at her back. Just out of the corner of her eye she could make out that nothing was bleeding. A bruise might come, but the hybrid was not badly hurt. She continued walking, this time watching where she was going. Key twisted and started to walk backwards at the sound of birds cawing about her.

She looked up to see the bird's flying overhead. The female's breathing was louder because she had been startled by the sound. She continued to walk backwards, spooked.

''Oh...''

The simple hybrid mumbled, but she finally started to walk forwards, not wanting to trip again. This week had been quite uneventful, excluding meeting Element the cat. Key almost regretted coming here, but she pushed the thought away. She would just have to pick a more grass filled spot next time, since she didn't exactly like all these jagged rocks. They had already caused her enough pain.

The girl stopped to stretch. Even at such a young age, she had back pain. Walking on her tippy toes--something she had done ever since she was little, because she had a unusual case of having one longer leg--she picked up the pace, not wanting to have to stay in this area for much longer.

He had wandered farther and farther from Inferni with every step, a handful of ragged wood in his arms; tied by a single strand of leather. The Russian had found time to start collecting supplies for his boat and so far had scoured what seaside Inferni territory had. Most of his gather was drift wood and planks of rotting pine he had found in the forests. But it wasn’t enough to even start the stern, so the male continued his search.

Before him now was The Wastes and nothing Spyridon had ever seen in his travels. Everything was either rock or sand and there wasn’t a tree amongst the grey ruble. Birds flew soundlessly overhead but interrupted the eerie silence with a squawk every now and then. The place brought immense curiosity to the red hued hybrid and he set his materials on one of the many rocks and began padding carefully across the territory. No wind ruffled his fur and the scents were vacant in the air. Rocks pressed like blades into his black pads while the Russian looked around aimlessly.

Sooner than he could cross to the middle section, the male’s slender foot slipped as he placed it awkwardly on the side of the stone. His figure slid into the sand between two rocks and his back leg slammed into one of the rocks. He felt lucky enough before he tried to stand and placed a paw on a jagged point, cutting the Russians wrist. Spyridon yelped softly and held his other hand to the injury. Rolling his eyes, the male shifted to his lupus form and continued across the rocks with more practice and speed.

On and on he went without seeing anything different but the sun bleached rock of the beach like area. His wrist had led a trail of blood behind him in which the Russian was not aware of. But soon the injury caught up with him and he was forced to stop and rest the paw. Still alert for danger on the invisible wind, Spyridon sat in his lupus form; catching his breath.

Hello there people

The juggernaught continued on his journey northward through Whisper Beach and into the wastes. Saluce only carried a simple pack and pick with him on his journey northward. Since arriving at Dahlia he hadn’t left its borders until now and even now he was only out searching for a particular rock that would aid him in his current task. Every so often among the rocks and sand he would stop and with a soft tap with his small pick examine the rock and then sigh as his blue eyes looked about almost sadly. So far his trip northward had turned up nothing to warrant his trip. Soon though the rocks and hard footing started to bother his still healing leg. Walking along in optime form became difficult for him but the determined behemoth struggled onward examining everything he came across with sheer determination.

Letting out a growl of frustration as his footing slipped again and irritated his left leg again, the towering wolf finally resigned himself to sit down for a moment. Letting his nose lift into the air, no breeze carried any scents to alarm him since the air around him seemed stagnant and dead. Scratching his cheek Saluce let his eyes scour the wastes looking for anything of interest before looking back the way he had came, mind obviously wrestling with the idea of returning back to his surrogate home. Letting out a resigned sigh his ears swiveled around in irritation as something gnawing at the back of his mind. An echo resounded in his mind as both ears picked up on footsteps. Those blue orbs jerked around following his quickly turning head in the direction of the sound that invaded his solitude. Seeing nothing he continued to let his ears perch atop his head, the footsteps where soft in nature and he almost played it off as some poor animal had wandered its way here for death but those icy orbs picked up a form standing on two feet. Nose sniffed the air again still not picking up much but faint wisps of salt, and maybe just a hint of the person who was still some good distance away.

Standing then, never being one to sneak around his tall form rose above the backdrop and proclaimed his presence much more than a howl or yell of greeting. Turning to the form he walked toward it, nose and ears alert to any changes traveling along the wastes. Soon the scent, her scent became a little more noticeable and before long his eyes picked up more about the small women making her way along the rocks. Soon he stopped within ear shot of her his arms crossing around his chest and eyes looking curiously over at her. “Hello there” he finally spoke in greeting to her.
