He'd slipped away from Sasha for just long enough to explore more of the territory. He'd set them up a temporary place to stay for a few days before they started either looking for a better place or beginning to build one of their own. He jogged out of the forest that the two brothers were staying in. As always, he was walking around in Optime form... feeling oddly naked, even though he was quite sure nobody really cared. He'd have to get some clothes soon, once he made the right connections. He fiddled with the bandanna around his neck as he went down the gentle slope of a hill, spotting a flock of birds flying from one tree to another off in the distance.

He slipped down the hill and was soon sitting lazily under one tree and looking above him at some birds who were intensely curious with him for some reason, sitting right above him and chirping down in an attempt to get him to do something interesting. He tilted his head, the birds did the same. He tilted it the other way and the birds mimicked him again. Odd little creatures. Dimi flicked his tail thoughtfully before his gaze returned to the scenery around him. It was probably getting around late afternoon now. Maybe he should hunt himself a meal... he was kind of hungry.

But now Dmitri didn't want to get up. Besides, all he could see around here were birds and he couldn't easily catch those. He scratched his cheek with a single digit before he stood up and stretched, deciding to just go hunt so he and Sasha could have a good dinner tonight. Just... now he had to track down some prey.

The slight wolfess meandered without much thought, and without a care, through the territories that comprised her home. The summer was pleasant, and August was especially temperate. Geneva did not deal well with temperature extremes, and so she preferred the warmth of August in favor of the harsh heat of June and July. Phoenix Valley was an oasis of fresh air and a palette of beautiful summer colors. The colors deepened from the soft hues of spring to thrust shades of deep, bright life into the forefront of her vision. It was a beauty she could appreciate, especially since things were falling into place, especially because Phoenix Valley was truly becoming "home" to her again.

As the wolfess trekked - on two legs - her olive colored gaze fell upon the form of one who might grow to call Phoenix Valley "home" as well. The pair of Russian brothers had been interesting to talk to at the borders. Their history was rich, she thought, and their bodies still bore the dust and weariness of a life on the road. From what they had told her, it was obvious that they had traveled far. Geneva was glad to see Dmitri have some respite from the weariness of travel.

Curious to know more about her new packmate, the Whilom sauntered over, clearing her throat a bit in order to indicate her presence. She did not want to disturb him, and so she stayed at a good social distance. Claiming a seat on the ground a few feet away, the Whilom raised her soft voice to speak to the Russian. "How do you like it here, so far?" Mindful of his difficulty with what seemed to be a new tongue, Geneva took care to pronounce her words completely and not to let the whisper-like quality of her voice shroud the clarity of her words.
