Anatoliy was feeling mighty despondent after all that had happened of late. His sister had fled, more or less, from these lands to who knew where. She left nothing but a note to let her family know that she was leaving. Their father had not seemed at all perturbed by what she did, though he was only concerned for her as a father is expected to be. Anatoliy was more concerned as to what caused her to suddenly leave him; he had not expected to part with his family again for a long time and it broke his heart that his sister would not confide in him. It had to have been something bad, something dramatic to make her abandon her family. But he had no answers; just a note, and confusion.

The Russo sighed, legs crossed beneath him as he watched the trees sway in the wind and the sun dappled him with shadows as the sun peaked out occasionally through heavy clouds. It seemed as though the summer was coming to a close and the fall was beginning to encroach on them; the trees were beginning to change colors too. It reminded him of home; the snow would probably make it seem completely like his birth land. Really, they were not all that different in the end. But even the familiarity of the land could not comfort him. How was he supposed to be a protective older brother if he did not want to leave the land because of the family here, and the friends he had made, even if his sister was without a protector?
