Private for Bindu. I left some room open if you wanted to put Bindu on the porch or something xD

Grace awoke that morning alone. The late September's cold infiltrated the guest room with stealth and sneakiness. It pressed pretty patterns onto the windows and bit down into Grace's uncovered toes. She sat up blearily in response, arranging herself under covers that she had previously kicked away in midst of her active dreams. "Addi?" She mewled, more out of dependency on the older girl than anything else. She had the speech functions to form out her sister's full name, but out of affection and laziness of her own vocabulary did she choose to only sound out the first syllable. But, as she waved away a persistent yawn, she found her sister to be missing in action and the room to be desolate.

The D'Angelo puppy scrunched her nose to her situation. She was rather resentful to times of solitude (in fact that's how more often than not she gets lost) and if she could help it she would prefer to consistently be in the presence of other people. So, being the problem solver that she was, Grace pushed herself under her favorite blanket. It was a soft and yielding blanket that she had taken not-so-discreetly from one of the numerous couches downstairs and constantly kept on her person. It was a subtle lavender microfiber with an indigo chenille hem. Grace was making a habit out of wearing the blanket on her back like a loose saddle for a horse, letting the ends trail on the ground.

So she nuzzled herself into her blanket and ventured out to the world. Grace had learned to paw the knob by now, opening the door and inviting herself into the Ranch hallways. She knew the twists and turns of the house by now and easily navigated alongside the sturdy walls. It didn't take long, however, before Grace had come to realize that there was no occupants (or at least no occupants in close vicinity) within the house. Furrowing her brow, she paced across the floor before deciding to leave the house and find company whether company wanted it or not. So off she went, pawing at the door handle and freeing herself into the wide open world!

It was quiet, the quiet that Bindu liked best. There were little noises here and there, like birds or wind through the trees, but they were comforting. The young hybrid had grown more at ease with the sounds of nature, since she had been taken in by Geneva. At first, she couldn't stand the outdoors whatsoever. Now it was okay to sit by the door, or, on good days, the porch, looking out at the world. Today was a good day.

The door had been unlocked for about a week. Bindu found that she could nudge it open with her nose and slip out quietly. Sometimes there was a wolf in the hall; usually Geneva, occasionally Geneva's mate, Jefferson. But if anyone was there -standing where her dark eyes could reach-, the wolfdog would just sit outside her door and be very still, not daring to venture towards the porch, not trying to scare anyone away. The teen wanted company now, even if it was silent. Her black eyes longed to swallow all the life within the ranch up. She wanted to look at someone, to watch them and feel good in watching them. Bindu had spent months alone, and now that her brain was mending, loneliness had begun to settle in.

The front door, to the hybrid's left, protested audibly. Her head turned alertly, if not eagerly, dark eyes searching for the wolf that was, no doubt, leaving the house. And Bindu was not wrong; she saw a smudge of lavender, and then it was a pint-sized canine, with vivid blue eyes like Pripyat's. Unsettling blue eyes, but beautiful, too. The kid had bright copper fur and was wearing a purple-y piece of cloth on its back.

Initially, the girl was kind of confused at the sight of the puppy. She thought that the only one in the house was Pripyat; who was this strange child, with fuzzy fur and clear blue eyes? Was she another one of Geneva's kids? Bindu did not worry for long, however. The pit of loneliness inside of her got a bit less frightening as she stared at this pretty young girl, with her own ugly black eyes. She stood but couldn't think of anything to say. What were you supposed to say when you met someone new? "Who are yer' name?" the teen finally blurted, her words mixing up in her mouth and coming out all wrong. Bindu had trouble with grammar. She knew what she was supposed to say ... it just didn't come out good.

I <3 Bindu Big Grin

Light filled in the lobby of the Ranch with it's wondrous beams as Grace couldn't help but grin at her success. She knew that Addison would probably discourage and be rather disapproving of the escapee act. So naturally, the puppy walked out cautiously, not to be caught by ninja-like older sisters on the prowl for some discipline. But instead of running into the caretaker, Grace looked and to the right see a new face. This new face seemed to be very pretty, with golden auburn and white fur piebalded across her body. The puppy smiled broadly upon meeting her new company and couldn't wait but to hear what the other had to say.

"Gwace!" She blurted happily, shrugging it off with a bounce and a vivid blue sparkle in her eyes. She had done this part numerous times with a lot of people, so her name came easily off her tongue. Of course she was - "Gwace Dee-angewowo!" And every time she said it came the natural baby lisp that accompanied it. Screw rs, no one needs to pronounce those letters anyway. Her name was unique to herself and while living with her mother she never really got to blossom into a true "Gwace Dee-angewowo", she had fully adapted to live in Phoenix Valley as such.

She cocked her head then, looking up at her new company with bristling pride that she had actually found new company. "Wat yer name?" She questioned easily, learning that not only was that the social etiquette that Addison was so desperately trying to instill in the puppy, but it satisfied her curiosity quite well. "Do you wive in Fee-nix Vallee too?" She smiled then, encouraging the other participant to live in Phoenix Valley like she was so she had another person to keep her company on days like today.

I <3 Gracie! :0

Bindu was startled when she saw a wide smile melt onto the puppy's mouth, not because of the actual smile, but because of the complete innocence simply radiating from her face. Her big blue eyes were clear and definite, her nose glistening, fur soft like dandelion tufts. This was what a puppy was supposed to be. The wolfdog stared dumbly at the newcomer, her dark eyes wide with delight. She liked the way the kid was so happy. The pup looked like a pretty little flower sitting in sunshine. Bindu was used to seeing Geneva and Jefferson, whose faces were calm but scarred with maturity. Not even Pripyat's beautiful face could compare to this overwhelming ray of youth, standing just feet away.

The girl blurted something out, but the teen didn't realize that it was a name before she repeated it. "Gwace Dee-angewowo!" Her mind raced. 'Gwace' ... something clicked inside of the hybrid's brain, altering the word to create 'Grace'. Bindu repeated it softly, to herself, "Grace." She didn't acknowledge the last part of Grace's name, forgetting it almost instantly.

"Wat yer name?" Grace asked intently, her blue eyes so big and so shiny that the wolfdog had to look away, out of anxiety (too blue, like ocean, like Pripyat). Bindu was glad that the younger wolf didn't use big words, long, flowery sentences that confused her and took a few seconds to think about. She answered, "Bindu," and was glad to hear that, for once, her tone and volume were appropriate. Her white-tipped tail waved on the wooden porch, and her paws didn't tremble in their bandages like they sometimes did.

Bindu was looking at Grace's mouth as she peeped, "Do you wive in Fee-nix Vallee too?" 'Phoenix Valley'- the words sounded familiar in the teen's mind, but she decided to play it safe and replied hesitantly, "Ah'm sleep in this house," gesturing with a swift glance to the door. The image of a black cat played in the hybrid's head, but she ignored it. Sometimes strange things would appear in her mind's eye, but she'd found that it was easier to forget about them than to strain her memory.
