ooc...

Denali giggled as her laugh had become contagious, he was no longer seeing her half as much as a deformed wolf than a friend now. He didn’t care what she looked like, she really was fun to play with. He stayed really still as he picked him up by the scruff and hurried back up the hill, he wasn’t use to such treatment, yet he still knew what to do when he was being held. She set him down and started counting, but before she got to three, he plowed himself down the hill.

He rolled and rolled till finally he landed once again, near the bush, not quite as far as Malachi had gone the first time but that was ok, there were plenty of other times to go down. He looked up to see where his new friend was.

As she was preparing herself, shaking her butt in the air, Mala smiled as she knew exactly what would happen. As her last word trailed off, the eager pup got a head start. She judged her distance, and leaped off and tucked herself as the large furball that was her body rolled down the hill, a few feet away from the pup. Immediately, she untucked her head and took a few steps towards the pup.

"You lil' rascal you, you cheated!" Her voice came out jokingly, of course she wasn't really upset that she lost yet another game they played. She leaned in close to the giggling pup, using her muzzle to tickle his belly. "I'll show you!" It was, truly, the spirits that had confronted her of her fear, one she didn't have to sidestep any longer. Inwardly, she was glad Denali was the kind of pup to have finally accepted her as a friend.

She’d rolled down beside him and she teased him about cheating, he giggled but as soon as he was about to stop her muzzle went to his belly and he started laughing uncontrollably as she tickled him, his paws kicking in all directions trying to get away from the belly tickle, he laughed and laughed as he was being tickled.

Ok ok!! I won’t cheat nooo more!!!

He said through giggles, still trying to get away from her and stop the tickles.

Mala was rather enjoying the fun she was having. The beast hadn't imagined being able to play with a pup in a while, so she was mostly glad there was no one around to tell her otherwise. Had another wolf, or worse, his mother, showed up to the scene, they probably would have had a heart attack where they stood.

She finally lifted her muzzle and stopped tickling the pup, but her laughter still continued to float in the air. "That's right, you little rascal!" Her laughter was put to a halt, as she looked at the waving of the grass in the wind, which led her to view the horizon. The sun was just beginning to set, and her stomach made a little knot. Mala knew she'd eventually have to let the pup go back home, and she'd have to pick herself up and travel again.

"How about a game of tag, hm?" She looked back down at the pup on the grass. She figured that if she wore the pup out, he'd sleep tonight and not have to worry so much about the cold that she could feel even on the grizzled tips of her fur.

Denali was still giggling even after she stopped blowing on his belly. Though he heard her ask if he wanted to play tag, but instead of his highly active on his feet jump he rolled over, giving up a big yawn.

yeah!! Who’s it who’s it?

Asking this time instead of instantly making her it, he loved to play though right now he was so wore out he didn’t really want to start running again right away and he was stalling till his tiny heart and lungs caught up with the rest of him. He had lots of endurance but it wasn’t going to last forever. He just didn’t know that he thought with a little rest he’d be up and about again!

ooc: -cuddles Denali- I say a couple more posts and we can wrap up?

She watched the little pup who seemed to be full of energy, that is.. until he yawned. Her heart practically melted.. pups were so very dear to her. "Who’s it who’s it?" She chuckled with her muzzle closed, leaving the sound to vibrate against her throat. He was tiring out, and soon, she knew, they would part ways. She leaned over to nudge the pup with a paw.

"Well, little mighty paws, I think you're it." She said, giving him an affectionate nickname. Mala turned and slowly padded off, knowing that if she started running, the pup would never be able to catch up with her. "You'll never catch me," she said teasingly, side glancing over at the sun that nestled between the mountains. The temperature dropped a bit, too, and it was noticeable with an oncoming breeze.

ooc...

Denali stood up and then started running toward her, ye was tired but not entirely wore out, not quite yet. She chased her down. Though she’d been walking, he had to catch his breath so se was further away than usual, but he was able to catch up easy at a nice run, he hurried to get her, and as soon as his paw touched her deformed leg, he giggled and ran in another direction, hoping that he couldn’t get caught. Though he was tiring out rather quickly, it had been such a fun day, and he didn’t want it to end! He tried moving in another direction too just to steer her off, but he knew that she would get him, they always did, he just had to try his best to not become “it”

ooc: Mala out! <3

Her rounded ears twitched, and a knowing smile stretched across her muzzle when she felt the pup bat at her back leg. Malachi swiveled her head around to see Denali start running away from her, though it was obvious even as he departed that he was tired. The creature's body turned, and only had to take a few big steps to catch him, and when she did she picked him up by the scruff. "Go'cha!" Was all she could say, muffling through his fur.

With him in her jaws, she carefully waddled down to the beach and gently put the pup back where she found him - where they originally met. As she let him go, she took a couple steps back and sat down with a large thud!, lowering the front half of her body until her muzzle rested on the sand, accompanied by a big paw on each side. "I think it's time for you to head home, little mighty paws," she said. She was sure he wouldn't fight it, either, and her warm smile radiated even as the last traces of sun disappeared. "Thanks for playing with me today." It was a sign of gratitude that even the pup wouldn't come to understand, but today, Malachi made a big leap, figuratively speaking, and all it took was a pair of little, but mighty, paws.

ooc...

Denali laughed when she caught up to him and grabbed him up, though he held really still, though he was a pup he was slightly put off by her picking him up, but it also reminded him how tired he was. When she put him down he stifled another yawn so that he could hear what she had to say.

I had lots of fun thanks!!

Denali said he rubbed against the big bear’s leg before he set out for home in the darkened sky. He wasn’t afraid of the dark but he wanted to be home so he could snuggle up to his mommy.
