ooc: Heyheyhey lets kick butt? Tongue word count: 300+
.

Crystallised due hung suspended from long sheaths of frailly shaded grass, glinting in the morning light. The pale one sat cross-legged, facing eastward as she gazed contempt at the sun rise over the horizon up onto the clear, cloudless sky. She had settled in nicely, and had grown accustom to her fellow pack mates as such. Rising to her feet she sniffed the air, smelling any scents she thought fit to investigate but alas, none were found; the air was still this morning, the first signs of frost touching the parched, cracked earth.

Relentless, she scanned vigorously about the surrounding area, determined to find something to occupy herself with, even if it was for a short while. The vixen’s search for action brought her closer and closer to the borders; the intimidating line of worn skulls perched proud upon their withered mounts finally braced her horizon as she approached. It had been just over two months since she was welcomed into the pack, and her path of enlightenment and worth was drawing her closer and closer to the clan’s borders every day. She planned to execute a mass hunt, in which she returned fair prizes to the pack, but due to poor weather she had been of yet to prove her usefulness to them all, perhaps today she would find something worthy to share other than small rabbits and vermin.

Despite the pleasant weather that braced inferni’s ground this day, or the calming, still wind, she was rather pissed, and resulted in the moral decision to find something or someone to start her target practice with. It had been a while since she last fought now, the woman’s muscles yearned to stretch out, and she felt a surge of excess energy that desired to be burned and put to use. Stretching, she warmed her muscles up, eager to participate in some sort of physical activity, come voluntary or forceful.

OOC: heheh time to rumble

Jace loved the morning. The start of a new a day was like the beginning of a new era, everything could restart and recharge and face the world again. The crisp air cooled her body down as it entered her lungs. The steady loping created an unwanted excess of heat from her muscles. She heard Temo's pants as they traveled side by side. The land around them began to grow tall sprouting grasses that tickled her belly and made her giggle.

She looked over at Temo and smiled, the smile distorting the scars on her face

"Wouldn't it be amazing to live here? The sun is so warm and friendly, it doesn't shine this bright in the arctic"

She hadn't been in Souls' more than half a lunar cycle and she was already feeling happy here, it allowed the coldness around her heart to warm a little and also allowed her to forget the horror of her past.

I'm at work so my posts may be a while in coming.

Temo Wolfe

Pacing Jace as they loped through the grass, feeling the blades brush his belly fur. Feeling happy on this cold and crisp morning as his lungs drew in the cold air and exhaled his hot breath, keeping his body from overheating as they traveled. A bit of a smile on his muzzle as he enjoys the exertion.

Glancing sideways at Jace when she speaks to him, Temo glances around at the landscape, "It's ok, a bit too open to my liking, but the sun is nice and warm." His heart seems to not be bothering him to travel so much any more. Not really ready to settle yet, but not having the urge to press on.

Ordinary border control was not entirely her, but sometimes it was good to stretch her legs a little extra and stomp about looking dangerous and important. The crimson and gold cloth danced smoothly in the morning's light breeze, but a clawed hand carefully smoothed out the wrinkles every now and then. Her faithful sword clung to her back as usual, and there was nothing out of the ordinary. Wolves had more or less learned that walking into Inferni lands resulted in unpleasant things. The skulls lining up the boldly marked borders were a good example of what could happen to those witty souls that thought they could toy around with the coyote clan.

Weather and season mattered little, her body was accustomed with hard labour, and in truth the woman was secretly walking on pink clouds. Ruby eyes glanced down on her left wrist to gaze adoringly at the gold and ruby dragon bracelet Silas had given to her. A smile appeared on the beautiful woman’s face, and she continued to dream as she walked along the line that separated Inferni and the Neutral lands. She believed she caught the distant scent of an Inferni member, but it was a stranger’s scent and she had little patience with the newer additions to the clan.

She continued on regardless, deciding that as the clan’s Hydra she should know the scent and face of every member here. She liked to know who and what she was protecting.

OOC: sorry this took so long! Wc: 300+

Voices, unfamiliar at that. The woman’s ears caught the audio of two different canines eastward from her current position. With new found zest, the hybrid abruptly claimed the stake of investigating the matter profoundly; her pace quickening in their direction. Whoever it was had crossed the border, and as the two scents graced her muzzle; unmixed with Inferni essence, and substantially reeking of wolf, she was the first to become extremely defensive. Did they even know what they were doing? Did they know what happened to trespassers? Did they know what happened to wolves that got in the coyote’s clans way? An unsatisfied grudge trembled up her voice chords, rattling the cage of her teeth.

Then she saw them. Them, who paid no obliviousness to anyone or thing. Them, who had now crossed the borders of Inferni territory. Them, wolves. The word repulsed the hybrid, almost forcing her to spit. Both were rather large compared to her small figurine, but no, that didn’t stop the pale one approaching them in the most intimidating, slithering entrance she knew. Stealthily her eyes followed from behind, her feet shortly after, until she was comfortable with her perch behind the two.

She stopped and stood tall, her posture cocky she carelessly played with her claws; scraping them off against one another. ”AHEM...” she interjected rather loudly; making sure her importance was heard. Pursing her lips the woman lifted her fine head up to theirs “Do you know what happens to trespassers around these parts?” slithered the arrogant harsh tone past her lips, she knew it oh too well. Pointing to the mounted display of skulls limply hanging upon their totems a wicked smile played across the vixens snout, she placed careless steps around them so now she was in their path way, wherever there destination was prior would have to be cancelled.. Oops.

Temo Wolfe

Loping along through the grass, side by side with Jace. The grass tickling his underbelly as it passed under him. The sun beating down on his back feels so good after so long in the forest shadows. Lost in thought as he glances at the skulls stuck on poles and wonders about it. Temo wonders if Jace had noticed it and what she was thinking about it.

Deciding to stop and study the skulls, and wonder. Quietly asking Jace what she thought they might mean. Suggesting what he thought. Intent on the riddle in front of them, he didn't notice that someone had come up behind them until he heard the "AHEM". Turning to the sound of the new and strange voice, Temo glances at Jace then back to the stranger as she continues. From the tone of her voice, he realizes that she is not going to be friendly. Glancing at the skulls when she points, getting an inkling of where they came from and what their purpose is now.

While the stranger moves around them to block their path, Temo not believing for a minute that this one is as careless as her steps seem to imply, replies "No, we do not know, well, didn't know, until now." A sideways glance to Jace, having a feeling that there will be a fight, possibly for their lives,"Please accept our apologies for our trespass. We did not realize that we had entered your lands and will leave." Begins to back away from the defender of their lands and towards the line they had inadvertently crossed and watches warily.

OOC: oh mah godd!! sosososososo sorriiieeeee I've been so busy i forgot all about this *begs on her knees* pleaaassse forgives me D=

Jace turned suddenly as she heard a voice speak. She heard the contempt in the female's voice, saw the loathing in her eyes and felt it through her actions. Jace realized with growing horror that their situation had just become incredibly fragile and might possibly end up being lethal to her and Temo. Now that she stopped and thought she could scent boundary lines and also that the skulls were warnings and wanted to kick herself for being so lax in her caution.

She looked over at Temo with a worried expression and moved closer to him, and then looked back at the female, carefully avoiding her eyes and lowering her body slightly; her ears flat and her tail tucked between her legs so as to not cause further offense to the angry canid.

"We are so sorry miss" She fumbled over her words in an attempt to explain their actions "We are new to this place called Souls' and we did not mean to trespass upon your land, we did not mean any offense."

She did not exactly run into them by chance when she entered the scene; the other Inferni wizard had already confronted the two confused forms of the wolves as Halo Lykoi entered the scene. Keen ears had managed to catch the short bit of conversation, though only barely. Unfortunately, this Hydra was not one that had to have all cards on the table in order to interact with troubledoers. She knew none of these three creatures, but she knew how to proceed with this scene. Inferni was no place for innocent critters to wander into. She wanted consequences to be dealt.

”Well, that’s just not good enough,” the Inferni princess stated, voice carrying more than a touch of venom as she stepped up next to the pale woman that was so fortunate to carry the touch of the clan upon her fur. ”You can’t expect us to stand idly by after you’ve stomped on Inferni ground,” she continued, wondering what her uncle would say if she was to offer him two new heads on sticks to watch over the borders. The thought allowed a cold smile to enter her lips, and the beauty seemed forged of ice despite the warm colours harbouring her form.

Her fingers itched for the sword that was not resting in her hands. Ruby gaze washed over her Inferni companion, narrowed with ill will. ”..now do we..?” There were so many weaklings in this clan; could this woman by her side be one of them? Ah, Halo and her lack of decent manners.

ooc: this post is so... blehh wc: 492

The pale one fed mercilessly upon their fear. As they became aware of her presence, they fumbled submissively upon each other, blabbering out their shallow excuses weakly towards her taunted self. Emerald eyes glowered coldly upon the two before darting to an approaching Mudbloods wizard, one of which she was keen to meet. Ever since she had spoken to Izaak the first day she had chosen to reside in the mansion, the canine’s scent that wafted from the small rat she had beheld clung fresh to her mind, and the woman was keen to discover just what the rat’s special purpose was. She spoke quietly towards the approaching warrior, a faint smile passing her lips ”Greetings, Halo” before turning back towards the invading trespassers. The caramel coyote hissed acidic words of no return at the cowering mongrels, and was then at the pale woman’s side, in the pathway of the hysteric duo. Now turning to meet the Hydra’s scarlet gaze, she instantly knew what thoughts she was implying, what was being asked of her, and in return her emerald eyes nodded slyly on cue, the hybrid aware of the warrior’s impatience to rid the homeland of these vile creatures presented before them.
The pallid coy-wolf slowly moved her position a few steps away from her peer, a cold sable mask then enrobed the gemstone orbs darting a spine-tingling glare towards the two. Her upper lip curled back revealing her long wolf-like canines, itching to deploy into some unworthy mutt. The thrashing rage inside rattled her cage, somewhat of a darkening growl erupted forth up her vocal chords. She only hoped that her superior would not class her as a feeble fellow clan wizard, but she would prove her skills worthy if that was thought so of her.
The two intruders; who were backing away towards the line of warning skulls by now, clung helplessly to one another, weak and insignificant. Cold mask flew back over myrtle shaded eyes, like a crimson curtain thrown back at a theatre, her irises focused, ebony tipped ears pressed flat against her thick silver spirals. The hybrid darted forward, propelling her body over to be caught by her pale pads; claws wrenching into the earth and flipping her through the air, twisting like some fine artist’s paintbrush, and agilely back onto her feet now in front of the two cowering wolves. Her arms swung back, and a gut wrenching roar escaped the Discens’s lips, her fist following swiftly with an upper cutting thrash, before raising her leg high enough to collide with one of their pathetic faces in a circular motion, her right leg effortlessly following the other. The woman twisted her torso a hundred and eighty degrees, planting her hands onto the surface, finally supporting her lower limbs as she fully descended onto the ground, facing the cowering scum bags. If she hadn’t done some damage, at least she’d put on one hell of a threat.

Temo Wolfe

Seeing the other arrive and hearing their voices dripping with hatred towards Jace and him, Temo decides that discretion is better than valor and there is no quarter here for passerby's. Both Jace and Temo slowly backing away from the lands defenders, keeping himself between them and Jace and whispering to her "Be ready to run", Temo mutters to the others surrounding them,"Our apologies for the trespass" knowing full well that it fell on deaf ears.

Not looking directly into their eyes, he still kept a close watch of them. Focusing on the sudden flurry of activity from one, watching the deliberate and fluid motion, feeling that this is the attack. He signaled Jace to make for the boarder like the wind. If he had looked, Jace, with her nose stretched out in front of her, ears laid back and tail straight out behind, she would look like she was running on top of the grass.

With timing that would surprise him when he would think about it later, Temo planted a hind paw, and pushed off with his front legs, letting her paw connect with his cheek. Letting the kinetic energy transfer from her to him and using it to help him spin around on his hind paw so he could use his muscles for a better push off in a long jump and he hit the ground running after Jace to the safety of the boarder and beyond.

His ears listening for pursuit behind him as he stretched his legs out in mile eating strides as he ran through the grass, his paws seemingly not touching the ground. He crosses the boarder with Jace only a couple of yards ahead of him. They kept running, getting as much distance between them and the lands of wolf hating coyotes. His cheek smarting from the blow, but a bruise is better than a broken skull. As they ran on, Temo begins to wonder if coming here was such a good idea.

OOC:

Jace saw Temo flick his ear several times as he spoke to the aggressive canids. She watched closer and he did it again in a reoccurring patter on three. Part of the signalling they had devised on their long journey together, the meaning clear, run! She glanced up at the not-wolves, suddenly brave. This fight may not be winnable in their current forms but she would defy their anger by escaping with her Temo, not noticing that she had referred to him in her mind as 'Her Temo'.

With the skill and speed of someone who had spent their entire life running, she whipped around upon her paws and set off for the borderline and the land beyond it. She moved as fast as her sled dog ancestry would let her, dirt being kicked up with every stride, shifting slowly as she ran then she pushed her body to the maximum, her Secui form allowing her to move faster with its bigger strides. Her ears picking up the sounds of Temo as he followed and also straining to hear is the not-wolves had decided they were worth chasing.

Ruby observed the pale woman with interest as her own name was spoken. For once some kind of rumour must have found its way to the other member first. Whether it was complimenting tales or not mattered little to her. Just for the visual effects, the copper hued lady drew her twin katana, blade reflecting in the cold light of day. Rubies were again drawn to her clan member as she lunged for the two less gifted creatures. A rare, impressed smile danced upon the Hydra’s full lips as she watched the pale female’s display. There were many creatures of the clan that she could not stand, but this woman whose name she did not yet know was definitely chosen now. It required little for Halo to loathe others, but it did not require too much to gain a shallow affection either.

As most wolves were, these were cowards of heart. Crimson eyes glared as they managed to evade the beautiful move made by the other Inferni member. Hand twisted and dug the blade’s sharp nose down into soil, before she began the chase. The warrior spent multiple hours every day working to perfect her body for war. In her four legged form her hybrid blood was more obvious, but she was in optime and possessed the lithe form of a coyote. The usual absence of weight against her back was uncomfortable, but she had no particular need for the blade now. Following them for a little while, the copper hued woman eventually slowed, her heart beating brightly against its ribcage prison. ”Eat shit, cowards!” Her voice called out, not even remotely close to being out of breath.

She knew their scents; decided that she wanted to run into this bastard pair again in the future. Smile returned to a beautiful face, and the warrior turned to walk back to Inferni.
