600+ words. Backdated to October 28th, set on the Shattered Coast! Private for Niro~ Let drama begin again!!

It had been three months since she had visited the beach near the Cour des Miracles’ territory, and it had been a month since the product of that night had arrived. Lolita stood outside the large Victorian house she had begun to call home, the three small puppies romping in the grass by her feet. They were awfully young, and it was very early in the morning, but the creamy woman thought that this journey was necessary. It had been a struggle for her, as she had not known whether or not she even wanted to tell Niro that these children were his. The dead woman had wanted to keep them all to herself and forget about the male that had sired them, but she knew that was not at all fair to him.

“Girls,” Lolita began, and all three puppies reluctantly stopped what they were doing to look up at her obediently. “Today we’re going on a trip. It’ll be a long one, so I’ll alternate carrying you three. We’re going to the beach near another pack, and there you’ll meet… Your father. He doesn’t know we’re coming, so I’m sure he’ll be surprised,” she added, leaving out mention of the fact that he did not even know that they existed. She hoped that he would not be angry, and perhaps that was why she had waited until she could bring their daughters to meet him, as well. It was a shame that Orchid and Iris had died, and Lolita did not know yet whether or not she was even going to tell the Miracles man that two of his children had died. He deserved to know, but he would already be shocked, and maybe it would be better to leave that bit of information out. She was still hurting enough for the both of them.

There were matching looks of confusion on the three girls’ faces. “What’s his name, Momma?” Magnolia spoke up, asking the question that all three puppies wanted to know so desperately. It was a question Lolita had expected, and she should have told them initially. Her daughters were hers alone, and she did not expect Niro to drop his life to help raise them. They did not love one another and never would. “His name is Niro Takekuro. You can call him Niro,” she added, knowing that his surname would be far too difficult for them to pronounce. Maybe they would eventually call him “dad” or “father,” but she did not know if it would be soon. Niro was not actually involved in their lives much at the moment, and perhaps he never would be. Lolita did not want to get their hopes up if he would not be.

“Let’s go, girls,” she said, and the small family began their journey south. It was a long one, slow-moving and with many stops. Lolita had packed some cooked meat in her leather bag, so they stopped at one point so that her daughters could gnaw on the meat. They were still drinking milk, of course, being a month old, but they were beginning to work on eating solid food, as well. It would be good for them. It was afternoon when they reached the beach where she had first met Niro, and Lolita allowed the girls to settle in to play in the sand, one a beautiful rust and white mixture, one a blonde only just darker than her own dream, and one a perfect match for Niro’s coloring. She lifted her muzzle and howled for Niro, then settled in to wait for him while she watched over the three young girls.

ooc goodnesssss

Niro had been thinking about the night before, something he had never thought would happen, though he knew Amaranth was his mate and he loved her dearly he had not expected things to turn out the way they did, they were getting better and better for him. Life was actually good! He couldn’t think of anything bad that could ruin this moment, he would be providing for his mate, and pack, though he was still quite injured, the thought of hunting not just for the whole pack but for his family, it was enthralling, exhilarating, everything he culd think of.

He’d moved outside of his cave home, his surprise would almost be finished with and he wondered what Amaranth’s reaction would be! he sat near the shore thinking of what her reaction was going to be when he heard someone calling… not a random call, not to anyone in the vicinity, it was for him… and him alone, his ears perked, and looked in the direction of the shattered coast, which he was neighboring. He sighed, the voice that called didn’t sound familiar… he was actually thinking of ignoring it, but it must have been important, he rarely got called…he stood, holding onto his crutch for support, as he rose Marahute flew from a branch of a nearby tree and floated to his shoulder. He smiled at her as he made his way down… it was slow going for him though as he was still in a bit of pain. Soon he reached the area where he suspected the call came from, and there stood someone he didn’t expect to see… and with her three puppy girls. He stopped, and looked at the woman he’d met not too far from here, she’d offered him some alcohol and he couldn’t remember much after it, so he wasn’t sure how he should feel, but he smiled, it seemed she’d just had pups recently too. The thought of when they met didn’t seem to click with the pups though. Marahute ruffled her feathers a little at the sight of Lolita, but she looked kindly at the three puppies that were around Lolita.

Hello, it’s good to see you again, is there something the matter?

He said, he was being a little too overly polite, but he was curious as to why she came, and called him while there were pups all around her. Niro didn’t know how stupid he could really be.

Lolita did not fret over what Niro’s reaction would be to the news that he had been made a father just over a month ago. The creamy Dahlian did not actually want him to help her in the raising of their girls, and she had even considered keeping it a secret, but she had decided that it would be best to tell him. The Monroe matriarch, as she was now, thought it was only fair to introduce them to Niro. He would probably never really be much of a father to them—they didn’t need anyone but her—but it was only fair to tell him. More importantly, it was fairer to introduce her girls to him so that they could now him if they chose. She would never deny them that right, but she would not encourage it very much, if at all.

She sat with her legs crossed, the three small puppies playing in the sand around her. Jade eyes lifted slowly to watch him approach as the woman sat in the sand. The largest, most vocal of her children scampered into her lap, then placed her front paws on her mother’s arm. Lolita looked down at Magnolia with a soft smile as the puppy asked, “Is that him coming?” The mother nodded, then lifted the girl in her arms and lowered her to sit beside her sisters. She did not rise as Niro approached and spoke, instead choosing to stay on the ground with her daughters. Perhaps it was a subtle sign that she planned to be the only real parent to the girls, or maybe it was simply her maternal instinct to remain close.

“Hello again, Niro,” she said, though she wondered if he would remember her name or much at all about what they had done. She could not tell only from his initial greeting, though she was willing to be that he would not have put together yet what was going on. It would be best just to get it over with. “To get this over with quickly, and so that we can talk while they play… Niro, please meet your daughters. They are Poppy, Magnolia, and Foxglove,” she said, indicating each in turn. The three girls looked up at the strange man, then each mumbled a soft “Hello, Mister Niro,” before Lolita nudged them to go off and play on their own. The woman patted the ground beside her. “Please sit with me. We have things to talk about.”

+3 OOC: Of course I do!! <3 just niro won’t be <3ing Lolita for much longer Wink

Her greeting was not at all what Niro had ever thought of happening with him. He felt his face grow cold at the sudden and quick announcement… that the three puppies who were sitting with their mother… were not only hers but…. His. It felt as though time had stopped as well as the heart that was beating inside his chest… how could this be? at the introduction he heard their name,s though it seemed to go right over his head, they spoke in unison. Three small little puppies, sitting staring at him, waiting for something. He didn’t know what to do… or what to say, he didn’t move, not until Lolita told him to sit with her. He quietly obliged, and once he was near eye level with her… he finally spoke.

How… how can this be?

He remembered he met her… he could not remember her name, not really but for a vague memory of her introducing herself, and giving him a bottle of vodka… he knew he’d gotten drunk with her, and Heath had explained memory loss just from getting as drunk as he did, but how could he not know what he’d done… was he not the honorable wolf he’d thought he was… and that question was answered with a vision of Liliya… now he had puppies?

You are sure?

He asked, looking down at the three adorable puppies sitting next to their mother, they seemed a bit frightened of him, his heart melted as he saw the little grey one… the puppy she’d called Magnolia… she looked exactly like him.. the other two didn’t have the same features but he could tell from one distinction to another they had to be his… he was now full of nothing but confusion and hatred for himself… how could he bring these puppies into this world and not be there for them or know that they existed till now? Well that would change. He thought stubbornly.

Hehe, no he won't! 300+

Lolita waited until the girls had moved off to play on their own to consider answering him, and she knew that he would need a few moments to process the information that she had thrown at him so suddenly. It was not the best way to tell him, true, but she thought it was the most effective way fo doing it. The Monroe matriarch had wanted to get it over and done with as quickly as possible, and she knew that the serious discussion that came afterwards would be too much for the girls to listen to, so she waited until they were out of earshot but still within her easy line of vision. She would not let anything happen to them for as long as she was alive to care for and love them.

"Of course I am sure," she said simply. "Magnolia looks just like you, and Foxglove like me. Poppy looks like my grandmother," she added, incase he was curious about the rust and white girl's coloring. She would not blame him for questioning it, so she headed it off as best as she could. "They are about a month old, and it's been about three months since I met you here on the beach. I don't want anything from you, Niro, but I wanted you to know about their existence." She did not want him to feel obligated to come and be a father to them—they didn't need him as a father. Lolita had never had a father growing up, and she would be all that the three girls needed in their life. It was simple, in her eyes. The creamy woman did not want him to move to Dahlia de Mai to be her mate and their father. In fact, she wanted the opposite.

Niro’s mind swirled around in his head, thinking what on earth he would do, he couldn’t leave amaranth, what if he took her though… would she understand, or would she not want anything to do with him once he told her that he’d had pups with another female, one from a different pack much less. He was frustrated, how could he let such a thing happen…. He made up his mind.

I want to be there for them, I have to. Not as an obligation but as a father.

He said, he’d never had any past experiences that his father was never in the picture until he was forced away, and even then Niro knew the man fought to get back to his children. Niro wouldn’t let his girls be fatherless, he’d move to Dahlia… with or without Amaranth, though he loved her, oh he loved her dearly, but the three puppies wouldn’t have a father if he wasn’t there, and that would not be fair to them. He looked at her with utter determination.

I don’t want to be your mate or anything, but I will move to Dahlia, I will be there for them.

This was not what she had wanted, not what she had come here for. Lolita wished she had not brought the girls down here as soon as he spoke those words; she did not want him to move to Dahlia de Mai. There was no need for that, and she did not want him to. "No," she said. The girls did not need a father around, and she had been doing him a favor just by letting him know that they existed. It did not mean that she wanted him to be with them, and she did not need his help raising them.

She did not want to argue with him now, not with the girls playing right nearby, but she would if he tried to insist upon moving to Dahlia de Mai. There was no need for him to actually be there for them, because she had not had a father, either. Fathers were not a necessary part of life. "You can visit, I guess, but you cannot move there," she said simply. "Besides, I don't think it would be very... appreciated by the woman on your scent," she said with a near sneer. She was not jealous of this, but she was angry with his suggestion of moving to Dahlia, and she was never known for having a good temper.

How could one simple word anger him so much, the sound of Lolita’s word, ‘no’ reverberated in his ear, he frowned, then as the utter thoughts of him not being near his kids came to realization he couldn’t help but bare his teeth.

So you are going to deny me my children?

He asked in as much of a hushed voice as he could, he was not angry with the girls and they were innocently oblivious, playing a little ways away, and he didn’t want them being scared by him, but his anger… how infuriated he was by her simple word…

I may have made a mistake with you but I would do right for them. You cannot keep me from them.

He said angrily, he wasn’t going to back down not even when she threw his mate into the mix, he was frustrated though, and since he normally didn’t fight, he was not one to show it out well. He looked at the three girls, his children… the ones she knew about but he didn’t… he felt his anger rise, knowing that he may not be able to see them… ‘visit’ his father never did such a thing, why should he?

I’m going to, and I don’t see any reason why I shouldn’t.

He said stubbornly, his voice sounding to say, that was his final statement, he would not budge from such a decision… He wanted to do right what he had done wrong, though helping create children was not wrong, the way it happened was, and he didn’t want anyone punished for just that mistake…

Lolita flet the flare of anger within him, so similar to her own but for very different reasons. She was angered by her decision to come here to tell him about the existence of his children. She should have left things as they were, as she knew they all would have been happier that way. Puppies did not need a father; the father was not an essential part of growing up. All that they needed was a mother, and though she was not a model figure as a canine, Lolita would do everything that she possibly could to be the best mother they could find. They did not need a damn father in their life! All they needed was her!

"No," she said again, keeping her tone hushed. "I said you can visit them, and maybe when they're older, they can come visit you. But you aren't moving there. I don't want you there, and they don't need you there." If he insisted on moving to Dahlia de Mai, she would be so incredibly angry. Maybe she would pack up her daughters and leave, though she did not know of another safe place that her small family could go. The Monroe matriarch knew that she would be able to find somewhere, though, and Pippa would help her. The simply did not need Niro there. He wasn't welcome to live there with them.

She was searching for something that would stop him from coming there, and she knew that she had found one. He surely wouldn't continue to insist upon it now. "I'll tell Conor that I'm uncomfortable with you being there, and maybe I would take them and leave," she said calmly. It wasn't true, though. She did not think that she could leave the buried bodies of her son and daughter behind. Should she tell him about those two? No, certainly not. Her living daughters would not remember them, and it would be her secret. "So you can visit, I guess, but that's it." It was as simple as that, in her eyes.

Niro’s ears pulled back entirely when she said the word again, he was doing his best to keep his growl down beyond his throught and from the puppies from hearing. They didn’t need him? Who was she to say such a thing? She who was the whole one to start this whole mess, the one who knew what she was doing. He had just been an innocent, not knowing what he was doing, he hated every fiber of this woman’s being, how on earth could he have… done that with her?

Don’t NEED me? Every wolf needs their father, how can you keep my own children from me!

He couldn’t help but let a growl escape, the hairs on the back of his neck stood straighter than his mohawk. Her next words however calm she made it sound, made him think she would truly take away the children he just found out about, his hackles were still raised but he wanted to hit… SOMETHING right now. He would have felt better hitting her, but he was nothing like that. He was a proper wolf, as much of one as he could be, he looked over at his girls defeated… now what else could he do? He wouldn’t be allowed in the pack, and even if he was, she threatened to take them away… he couldn’t let that happen, s what else could he do.

Fine…

He said, his words were quiet.

Let me have some time with them now at least, please…

He knew they would barely remember him in the next few days but he wanted to make up for whatever time he didn’t have, and some… he looked at the three puppies… HIS puppies… he was so angry with himself, with Lolita, with the world, but it seemed right now the only things he couldn’t be angry at were the three fluffballs he just found out were his own.
