ooc: i failed at this post ; ;

Denali was trying to make himself get use to the autumn weather. He was not at all use to anything this cold… and for some reason he wasn’t getting any winter fur in… he sniffled as he shuddered. There was more of that snow stuff (though it was really frost, he’d just been told it was snow) on the ground, he did like playing with It, making his paw melt it into water, which he learned many days ago, thinking that it was just really cold water. He was happy doing that and he soon was very close to the border of the lands, where he’d once waited for his parents. He could see a little ways as most of the area was grasslands, but he wasn’t interested in looking, or waiting, he was already finished with waiting, he was focusing his mind on keeping his mind off of being cold and that was by playing. He made a game, out of the frost seeing how far he could jump between where he landed, because he could see where he stood before as his feet would have let the green-brown of the grass to show. This was just plain fun!

::OOC:: S'alright. XD

Sylvie shivered as she padded her way into Cottontail Valley. The narrow valley, littered with soft green grasses and wildflowers, was covered in frost, heralded by an icy chill in the air. For the thin-coated collie dog, it was pretty, but rather unpreferred. Winter's hold was every growing, it seemed, dancing onto the world as the tips of Jack Frost's toes touched each blade of grass. Vivid violet gems scanned the horizon as lilac and cream form huddled around itself, arms hugging slender frame as a testament to the temperature. She walked quietly along the stone wall that cut the pretty scene in two, the scent of salt water and lavender following after her, fervently clinging to fur long since free of the ocean's grasp. The yearling paused a moment, startled by what appeared to be a brown rabbit bouncing out of the tall grasses.

Cocking her head in confusion, the caramel and cream beauty investigated the scene, watching again as the form bounced out of the grass only to vanish into the frost again. No, he was not a rabbit. He was a child, a pup, enjoying his life among the Crimson Dreams of the earth. A sense of bittersweet humor settled over the older dog as she recalled those recent days she too enjoyed melting her first frost. As a native resident of Florida, her arrival heralded her first frost, first cold, first snow. Had she ever played in the snow? Foggy memories tickled at the back of her mind as she tried to recall. Alas, it seemed impossible to think that she had ever been that happy, with how confusing her life had been as of late.

The slender optime female hoisted moon-spun form up onto the wall, watching in slight amusement as the whelp enjoyed himself. "That looks like fun, little one. Mind if I join you?" She asked, debating on if she should shift forms or not. Her canine form would be far more useful with an unchanged pup at this point, as her optime form did little to make melting frost fun. Her herding bred form, however, would do much better in the tickly grasses of their little spot.

Speak. Think. Walk.

ooc...

He was in mid jump when he heard the voice, and he paniced and forgot to put out his front paws in front of him and fell, rolling over a little, the voice, though not one he’d ever heard before, was quite nice, and she wanted to play too. Denali could never pass up an opportunity to play!! He looked up, the fall had scattered his legs and he was on his back, he saw on a wall, a female wolf, in optime form, she was so pretty too. He smiled at her and rolled over wagging his tail.

You can join me!

He’d forgotten procedures about letting other wolves into the territory, why did it matter now anyway? She was so nice, and she had the look of… well she didn’t look like his mommy, but the way she looked, she could be a very nice mommy if she took him in, but he had a mommy now, and he didn’t need more than one.

My name’s Denali!

He pronounced wagging his tail, he suddenly felt the urge to stop acting like a puppy and try to act sophisticated and like an adult, but he couldn’t he was still a puppy at heart, and that’s what mattered right? But he wanted to impress her!

ooc: Sorry it took so long, hun. D:

As Denali fell, rolling over himself a few times before settling right side up again, Sylvie couldn't help but chuckle. Obviously she had garnered for his attention too soon- and he'd ended up missing his landing. She hopped off the wall, graceful, careful, and picked her way over to the pup, orchid petal orbs scanning him for any scratches or injury. It wouldn't do to cause the poor young male any damage! If his parents were nearby... she would be in for some serious trouble, for certain. However, as she approached, she was greeted with a happy, bubbly form of acceptance.

"You can join me!" He had said, looking back at her with big, glinting eyes. "I'm very glad you'll let me. Are you alright?" She said softly, pausing a foot away to make sure she was allowed to approach him. Inciting the rage of a mother was not something the lilac pelted beauty was interested in at this point- but the whelp was so very cute! What could she do? Glancing around and finding no one else in the vicinity, Sylvie began to wonder if the little boy had any parents at all.

As he piped up and offered his name, the yearling smiled brightly and answered in turn. "My name is Sylvie. It is very nice to meet you, Denali." She chuckled and crouched down next to the young brute, tail curling in the frosted grasses of their hideaway. Ivory hands unfurled from their clasped positions in favor of ruffling the little boy's hair before asking another question. "What shall we play, hm?" The pretty young adult adopted a silly thinking expression, one hand curled beneath slender alabaster maw while amethyst gems glimmered mischievously.

While she thought, she began to change. Lengthy limbs melted into lithe ivory socked stilts while fingers sucked backward into thick-toed paws. Slender neck and wild mane shortened and thickened as spine crackled quietly to accommodate the shortening change. Within a minute's time, Sylvie had dropped to all fours, rocking her lovely canine form, the heart-like mark on her forehead much more easily visible. She smiled again, before gently settling a paw onto a frosted grass blade, feeling the ice melt between her toes. They could easily continue the game he had been playing before, losing themselves to the wild, wind-swept grasses and their frost-kissed bodies, or play something new. Sylvie was plenty capable of making up new games for younger canines.

OOC: sorry it’s so short ; ;

He was in no way troubled by his little tumble, in fact it was fun and exhilarating, though he doubted he could do it on purpose. He nodded when she asked if he was alright and he demonstrated by jumping up and chasing his tail

Mmm hmmm I’m Ok.

he said, with a smile on his face, his tail wagging, she introduced herself after he did the honors and he thught that was a pretty name, then after that he thought… what games could he play?

Well all the games I know are boring, do you know any cool games?

He asked, he was always good with games, but he wanted to learn something different, if she didn’t have anything he thought she would be fun to play tag with, though it wasn’t much of a competition there as she was much bigger than he was, and quicker. He’d think of something if she didn’t,
