5 Points OOC: you can read byt you can’t post! Big Grin

Though Niro didn’t know him, he’d saught out Amaranth’s uncle, who’d kept her for many hours training her, and begged his permission to keep his niece for the day, to make any excuse, and Niro’s only explanation to the man was he had a wonderful surprise he had for her, but he needed to set it up first. Then when she left he’d had a horse pull the cart full of wood he’d prepared for the cave floors, as well as the shovel he’d need. He started digging right away, the cold air had yet to freeze the ground, which he was thankful for, but it was slow going and harder than he thought, as there’d been rocks in the way… well it was a cave after all, but he planned for them and he was able to get them up and had dug only the few inches he needed to put the planks of wood he’d gotten ready in the stables, the digging had taken up most of his time, and he started getting in a slight hurry, though his leg was hindering him more than he wished, it hurt as he had to stand to dig, but he told himself life went on and made him ignore the pain. It was worth the surprise he had for his mate. Once he finally had the floor hallowed he put the wood in, it would be much warmer in the coming winter days though he had a nice spot for the firepit, and a good vent to keep the smoke from getting thick inside the cave. He had planned for all this, He had stones and such for where the fire was to be place, and instead of the wood he put the stones there, and was sure that would prevent the fire that was to start. Then he paneled the floor in sections. It was many hours befor he’d finished the work, but he was not done. Wiping the sweat he’d accumulated since working, he had a frame and a door for the cave, something that he liked… privacy. Though he loved seeing the ocean from his cave, at night, he wanted just to be in an enclosed space with his mate and nothing more. He made it so the door frame conformed to the actual cave itself, but wouldn’t just fall apart, and it was braced on the inside of the walls which would eventually be paneled in wood as well, but not today, he didn’t have enough time. He hoped she’d like his surprise, though she didn’t mention the floors or the door, those were the most needed to keep the cold out. He had plans for the rest of the cave but didn’t make any door for the tunnel that was just further in, he had a sheet covering it from any sudden drafts that would come up. He worked on the door, it was a bit more complicated than he thought it would be, but he was sure he’d gotten it. Once he’d finished, he took a look at the bare cave, proud of his work before moving all their belongings back into the cave. Now it was a home. A nice roomy home.
