The weather was beginning to change for the colder, but there was still beauty to be found out in Cottontail Valley. They hadn't had too hard of a frost yet and there were many plants still alive, some still with little flowers clinging to life against all odds. Cambria had a small basket hanging from the crook of her arm as she scoured the area for any useful herbs and plants, medical or otherwise. When she had cooked the rabbits with herbs for herself and Mati for their special night together it had been an experiment that she hadn't been certain would turn out well. Now she knew that it worked wonderfully, and found that she even preferred the cooked and seasoned meat to the raw she had been eating her whole life. So far her store of herbs had been strictly for medicinal purposes, but now she wanted to be sure she had some set aside for cooking as well.
Her life seemed like a dream nowadays. Things were so wonderful between her and Mati. Love such as what she shared with the Church fey was something that she had always wished for but never thought that she would actually find it. Cambi had been proven dead wrong and she was happy to have been mistaken. Her sea green orbs danced from focusing on herbs to the delicate little flowers that were littered all around her. Carefully she picked some of the blooms with the intention of taking them back to the room she shared with Mati. Once winter hit in full it would be a long time before there would be any flowers again, so why not enjoy them to the fullest while the could. Smiling, the healer continued to pick flowers and plants, perfectly at peace with the world.
