“Hmm..Hmmm”. Voodoo hummed to himself quietly as he ventured on, taking in the sights of this new area. The entire place was intriguing, each in its own way and he was having a marvelous time just walking through. Pale blue eyes shifted upwards as he slowed to a stop beside a long and winding white path. His nose twitched, trying to take in the scent of the odd scene. Somehow, Voodoo had managed to avoid every single road on his way north. He had never seen such a white moat, and he was a bit apprehensive to swim across. It didn’t move like the other waters he had been through. He stepped closer, warily. It was a solid moat of white with varying lines of color. His brows furrowed in slight confusion. “Hmm… What is that..” he spoke to himself, thinking it through. It couldn’t harm him. He shrugged and stepped forward, tail held high over his back in the anticipation that he might just lose his balance. As a large paw hit the surface, he drew it back. It was warm from the sun’s rays but not too hot. He placed his paw back down upon the tar, followed by the other letting the idea sink in. Piece of cake.

He sighed, now standing in the middle of the road, staring down the long yellow lines that split it in half. It was spring, his favorite season, and the colors of the fallen leaves were simply amazing. Red, orange, yellow all mixed together and decorating the soft earth. The wind whipped through his obsidian coat, drawing up the leaves around him and moving them further on down the road. Voodoo lifted his head to the breeze and let it caress his face, closing his eyes to take in the moment. It was great to feel safe enough to be out in the open and without a current care in the world. He was starting over and this felt like the perfect time and place to begin. He had taken the first step and had left his less than fortunate situation. The second step was to find a different place to reside. Check. What was next? Maybe it was best not to plan that part for now, just enjoy the moment. An audible sigh escaped his lips once more as his ears shifted to the sound of rustling leaves.

OOC: Hope you don't mind me hopping in. ;D

The warm sun felt great on Sky's pelt as she hoisted her body in quick strides. Up the road, she pelted along, the blacktop stinging her paws as she did. The task today was to explore uncharted territory for things to bring home; food, goods... maybe a new friendship? Nah, not likely. The shy pup wasn't that lucky. Her previous adventures had been for naught, and then she'd joined her new pack, making anyone she met an automatic family wizard. Boring~

But not today! Today she fully planning on exploring as far as she could before the next morning. She'd finished her pack duties previous, and in record time, and now the little songbird was on a mission of her own. Maybe I'll get lucky and find Dusk! Mentally, she slapped herself. And maybe unicorns exist and dogs fly. She's gone, Sky. Get over it. Her pace slowed at this thought, tail drooping and eyes going half-lidded. So much for that great mood. But wait!

A few yards ahead of her, she spied a figure. A shadow on the pavement ahead, only solid. His fur is so dark! So lovely! She paused, lifting a paw off the road as she took a chance to breath. He's also a stranger, Sky. Shawchert warned us about this sort of thing; what if he's of another pack? Putting that paw down, she shifted to lift the other one, tilting her head. Then again, we have other pack wolves visit us all the time. Maybe he's friendly. Only one way to find out, it seems. The wolfdog picked up the pace again, heading towards him with a waving tail and a lowered head. Submission for now, just in case.

"Good hunt, stranger." A classic greeting her sister had taught her. Polite, but cautious. Friendly, but not stupid. Traditional. Respectful. The brown furred girl came to a stop a few feet away, holding her head in line with her shoulders cautiously, a friendly smile in her eyes and a wag in her tail. Hopefully, all would go well... hopefully.
