A castle would not normally be Yuki's choice of a temporary home. She had often used run down buildings that she encountered in the deserted civilizations that dotted Nova Scotia, but none such as this. Most tales the hybrid had bothered to listen to told of wonderful and elegant castles; though they usually ended with a werewolf attacking and ripping the princesses throat out.
The castle's size was one of the most overwhelming things. The walls that guarded the fort rose high off the uneven ground, towering over the her. After circling the castle a few times she found her way in. With the large smoothed rocks dwelling on the cliffs border all she had to do was look for the perfect one. When she did spot it, it turned into a matter of agility. She missed the first few times, but on her fourth or fifth try she made it over as a blur of black and white. Even with the palace's dull colours it was breath taking. For many years the palace had stood strong and proud, a symbol of eternal love from the Scottish Lord that had once offered it to his fiancé. The castle had not worn much since the days when humans made up the majority of the population. If you could get past the mossy smell and sorrowful vibes that the place held, it would make a glorious home. But the wolfdog wasn't looking for a home, she was looking for isolation.
She pushed past the grand doors, admiring the large staircases that led up to the second floor. She chose the one on the left, paws drawing up dirt each time the slapped the carpet that had not been touched in years. Her heart thudded, as she entered the grand bedroom. She walked into the room, unsure about how to go about the change.
