I left it open so you can come in either when he’s laying there or find him when he was running and then talk to him when he’s laying there. Whichever Smile

Everything was caving in on him at once. Ember is gone forever. His life just kept getting more and more uninteresting with each day, and Moonfyre wasn’t sure how long he could take it anymore. He might’ve gone crazy if he hadn’t left there when he did. There as in Aniwaya. Everything he looked at in that pack threw all these memories of Ember at him. His father always told him not to cry over a girl, but this time he couldn’t help it. Ember was his first and only, how could he not feel rejected?

It was a sad day for him just like many others. He had decided to leave his pack and home behind the night before. He hadn’t said anything to anyone about his leave. Moonfyre stayed low in the dark grass hoping no one would see him. He didn’t want to explain himself to anyone else. He knew what his reason for this was, and no one around him knew what he was going through. His paws felt heavy with every step, and he knew he shouldn’t be running away from his troubles, but he just couldn’t stay there anymore.

Finally, the fence around the territory was in view. He picked up his pace and quickly slipped through the opening without anyone noticing him. Once he was out, he stopped crawling and ran in a steady pace into the darkness. His bag of items clanked on his back as he four-leggedly escaped his old home. In the bag was his green blanket that he loved, a book about Nova Scotian History, and the third item was around his neck. It was a crescent moon shaped pendent with a stone in the middle that matched his blue eyes. The necklace was known to be magical to him. As far as he knew, it wasn’t because it could’ve saved him from all the pain he’d went through over the past months.

He ran through the rest of the surrounding lands on Aniwaya. He had no idea where he was going, but he kept running. He kept running until he couldn’t anymore, and he collapsed in the wet grass. His panting was heavy at first, but as he lay there, not moving, his breathing slowed down. He realized running would not solve anything, and a single tear rolled down his cheek. He didn’t move and blended in very well with the darkness. Everything was engulfed except for his glowing eyes. He lay on his side with tears rolling from his eyes hoping no one would find him like this. He called out to the skies with pain in his heart.

Why’d you have to leave me like this, Ember?!

Big Grin

The walk had been especially long on two legs. Most would call her hike from the castle all the way to the lands of Aniwaya a journey; but to the hybrid, journeys were some thing you were supposed to enjoy. So the girl considered it practice. To put it in the nicest words, complete isolation, well, it sucked. She had not ventured far from the castle lately, and this seemed like the perfect time to do it. Noah was one reason for her to stick around; but she could not even his presence of her longing for travel.

Yuki knew the rules of packlands quite well after being a loner all her life. She had made sure to follow them for the most part, but as long as she did not step into the scented area she didn't consider it trespassing. She wasn't looking for any thing specifically, but what she did find startled her. She caught sight of the man as he was running, and quickly did a double take. Her bi-coloured eyes immediately picked up on the gold, glistening design on his face. "But where is he running?" She automatically took a few steps forward upon watching him collapse, "Stupid girl, what are you doing? He might not even remember you.." The words were spoken in her mother's voice, so of course they were followed by a few insults. But after a minute of trying to refocus, Yuki finally began walking towards the man again.

"Why’d you have to leave me like this, Ember?!"

Her heart became heavy; it was difficult to see her old hero in this state. She sank down beside him, one hand still on her towel as she reached out and touched his shoulder; "Moonfyre?" She pulled on his shoulder in an attempt to turn him over to face her. Of course she was expecting him to move away, but at least if he did he would at least know she tried. Even if he did not let her touch him, he might stick around long enough for her to figure out what was wrong.

I’m dropping Moon, so instead of her bringing him back to the castle, he’s going to run off in a frenzy Tongue You’ll see.

Between sniffles a familiar scent was noticed. Yuki. Ahh, I don’t want to see her now.. Especially looking as despicable as he was. She touched his shoulder and shook him, but he shied away. He rolled onto his belly, and looked away from her with anger and tears in his eyes. He didn’t want anyone to find him like this, let alone Yuki. She thought he was strong, but now she must’ve thought otherwise seeing him crying in the grass like he was. She thinks you’re weak! The voices, always the voices. The voice never had any true familiarity to it at all. It didn’t sound like anyone he knew or ever heard before. The voice sounded more like his own than anyone else’s, actually.

He didn’t want to look Yuki in the eyes now. He looked like a mess. A hopeless wreck. He was totally upset over a female. Number one rule for tough guys was not to let a female get the best of you. Or something like that. Anyways, Ember got the best of Moonfyre and now he was laying here at the Aniwaya borders crying over her. He wanted her back so badly. She was his love, and his only love. He would not give up on her yet. He wanted to find her, and he would. As soon as he got rid of Yuki…

Yuki.

He didn’t turn his head toward her because he still didn’t want her to see him like this. It was worse enough that she found him like this. He stated her name in a greeting kind of way with barely any interest to talk because he hadn’t any.

Aww. Okie. ^^

Even the girl was half expecting him to pull away anyways, she was a bit sad to see it with her own eyes. She sighed lightly, "What are you doing?" She shifted uncomfortably before switching into a more comfortable position; sitting on her legs and having them going off to the side. "What's wrong with you? Who did this?" She demanded, angry at the thought of some one hurting the man she had grown so fond of ofter just one visit. "Told you." She clutched her paw into a fist, digging her claws into the palm of her hand. It seemed to be a nervous habit; but Yuki was really just attempting to hold her tongue. It was hard to see hard enough to see him like this. Not being able to comfort him the least bit, even with her presence, was hard on the hybrid. Pain and self hate were things she had learned to deal with; but she could never stand not helping someone in need. Especially someone she cared about. It seemed they had a special connection. In some way they both looked familiar through each others eyes. Or at least he was through hers.

Yes. WC: 515

He avoided turning his face anywhere toward her. She needed to leave. Now. Her question rang in his ears. What does it look like I’m doing?! Rage roared in his mind, but he still didn’t look at her or say a word even to himself. A growled urged to leak out of his throat, but he held that in too. He was hoping if he didn’t show any emotion or any interest that she would lose concern and leave. He paused in silence for a few moments, but didn’t hear her leave or even shift. He rolled his eyes, and realized he had to face her anyway. He waited a moment for the tears to dry more before he turned toward her. Now he would let the rage out. It wasn’t her fault, but he wanted her gone and she was there. The only one there. And she wanted to know what happened, so now she’ll find out.

What am I doing?! What does it look like, Yuki?! I’m stressed. Just leave me alone!

Then the next set of questions came rolling in, and the meanest of words came to mind. Is it really any type of your business?! His hackles raised slightly, and he looked away from her hoping she would go away. He hoped she was hurt from his little explosion. Of course not. HAHAHA. What an interesting bunch of wolves you meet! The voice. He swore some days it was there only to make him angrier. The hackles rose a little more, thanks to the voice. He choked back another growl. He wasn’t sad so much anymore as he was angry that someone crashed his pity party. Yuki, no less. He wanted to attack her there on the spot, but he knew that would not be the civil thing to do. He didn’t want to hurt her physically. He just wanted her out of his face so he could continue on his mission to find Ember. But no, of course this had to be the first obstacle in his way. He kind of felt sorry for her in a way. All she wanted to do was help, and here he was avoiding every kind gesture she was throwing at him. Moonfyre inhaled deeply, and then spoke in a low overly calmed manner. It was like if she said another annoying or caring word that he would lash out.

None of your business, Yuki.

His eyes were tired with rage, and that was very visible. He didn’t want to attack her, but he thought he would if she were to say another thing. Anything. It didn’t even have to be annoying. He wasn’t as calm as his voice sounded, and in another minute he would start shaking from rage. The growl escaped his maw now loud and clear. He didn’t want to do this to her, but Ember let the monster out of the closet with this one. He stopped his growl short, and inhaled deeply. He closed his eyes and tried to find a happy place somewhere in that head of his.

Big Grin

Yuki looked away from him, counting the few revealed strands of grass that she could find. "Please don't say that, Moonfyre.." It hurt to hear him tell her to go away; and she hoped he didn't really mean it. Her voice was tiny, shaking. She didn't think she would cry. "You won't. Grow up." She listened to the voice ramble, but only picked up a few words. It helped her think of a reason why he would suddenly push her away like this again. "It won't make you any less of a man to accept my help. It'll make you a smart man. Come back with me. Stay at the castle for a few days.. We don't have to talk about it. But please Moonfyre, let me at least try help you like you helped me." Her paw reached out to touch his shoulder again, hoping to convince him.

She didn't know what she would do with him at the castle, but she would help. "You're useless." She would let him sleep in her bed.. Catch him food! "Save him? Stupid."

The growl scared her. Her ears flattened back against her head, a whine escaping her. "Let me help you! I need to repay my hero's favor, don't I?" She let out a sigh, trying to hide the fear inside her. "Just leave him alone. He doesn't want you!" She put her hands over her face, but no weeping could be heard. The 'good' voice whispered words of comfort, telling her it wasn't true. "Being upset won't help him. Calm yourself, girl.." Only one person had ever called her 'girl' regularly. It was.. It had to be the bird woman! Oh how she wished she hadn't forgotten her name. It was an strange time to finally add a name to a voice that she had been hearing for many months, but she did feel a bit better. The only disappointing thing was that her hero was still sad, and that the woman's voice hardly ever spoke above the 'evil' voices..

To his surprise, she kept pleading for him to come with her. Moonfyre was still avoidant and wanted her gone. Please don’t say that, Moonfyre. Just did. He managed to maintain his look upon her, though, he wanted to look away very badly. He wanted to leave, actually. Yeah, to leave; that would solve everything. He snorted at his own thoughts. He was still slightly angry, but the rage was not pouring out of him at this poor girl in front of him.

Yuk-

He started but wasn’t able to finish. She lashed out on him with words, and his eyes widened. He shut his mouth. She looked upset on his behalf and wondered if she did truly care about him. I guess the growl was a no-no. His own ears went back slightly as now he had to make a decision. He realized his friend wanted to help him, but then he wasn’t really in the mood for company either. What happened to the thought of ripping her to shreds?! I liked that kind of thinking. Don’t tell me you’ve gone soft?! He ignored the voice. He was calmer now and thinking clearer. He shook his head rattling the voice. It growled in his head. Ah, so you ARE a wolf. He could never really figure out what the voice was or where it actually came from. He still didn’t know, but at least he knew it could growl.

He nodded to her. He would go with her to the castle. What castle, he didn’t know, but he would accompany her just to make her happy. Then afterwards, after she had her share of taking care of him, he would figure out what to do. Go find Ember or stay here?

Fine, Yuki. Let’s go.

He stood in his place. His legs were a bit wobbly, but nothing he couldn’t handle on his own. The fur on his face was caked with dried tears. He wanted to wash it. What to do, what to do… He would have to figure this out later, but right now he was going with Yuki. However, he had no clue where this castle place could be though. He nudged his maw, and gestured for Yuki to lead the way.

We can move over to the castle now, if you want. I'll PM you. (:

A smile played at her lips as she heard Moonfyre agree to come. She reached for his paw, tugging on it gently as she got to her feet. "C'mon, follow me." Yuki returned to the area where she had previously been standing, looking at the setting sun. She closed her eyes, trying to focus on what she wanted to do. Within a minute or two, she was in her halfling form. She dipped her head to the ground, picking up her dress with her teeth and holding onto it gently. After looking back at the male one last time, she started off.

Ember was still a big part on his mind, but going with Yuki to her castle wouldn’t hurt. She led the way, and he followed loyally. His black fur was no longer camouflage because it was slowly turning into morning. A lot of thoughts were swirling around in his mind. What did this castle look like? Was it really a castle, or was it just called that? He didn’t know, but he would soon be finding out. They kept walking and walking until he was sure they would be walking forever.

Is it actually a castle?
