She was trying to keep up the front, the fierceness, but it was faltering a little. Who was this coyote? There was something warm about her that made Empusa feel a little guilty for speaking to her like this. Her posture wilted a little, her tail drooping until it touched the ground. Should she tell the truth? She didn't want anyone to know that her mother hadn't come back for her...but Faolin looked like she was only trying to help. Empusa tried to make a decision, looking down to the ground.
"Gabziel waz at ze borderz...I came with Mama...he would not allow her to join! He zent her away!" She was shouting, shaking her head with emphasis. "And..yez..I am cold, and very hungry...and am wishing zat my Maman waz here"
Empusa didn't understand the concept of cooked food, or fire. She'd never seen fire before, and her mother had never told her that it even existed. "Vat does zis mean? Cook?" She shivered a little, reclining into a sitting position, her tail curling around her feet.
