Amata had some trouble sleeping, lately she had lots of trouble to be exact, but why, it was beyond her. Her life was perfect. She had the abilities she had always dreamed of, though her sister was just as proficient, even though she stayed within the pack, but Amata had all the memories that she gained while being outside of the pack. She helped animals of all kinds, and not just wolves, she proved that when patching up that poor bear that was only there to visit Denali. She was now surrounded by her family, her best friend and sister was at her side again, and she was so happy to hear that she’d even found a mate, though it was a shock when she was told. Her family had grown, she had two new sisters and a brother, and she was so happy to meet them, though they were nearly grown now, and she’d missed out on most of their childhood, but that didn’t matter now. It seemed that they had adopted one as well, and he was cute, though rather rambunxious for a pup his age. She had no complaints, so why did she have such a hard time sleeping? The eyes… it has to be those eyes…They were always staring at her, leaving her breathless, but why, she had to stop thinking about it.

She got out of bed, knowing that she wouldn’t get much sleep in there and moved down the hallway to the stairs. Trying to be quiet she tiptoed down the stairs, stopping at each creak, though it was so old that there were quiet a few of them, but she remembered the ones that didn’t and was able to make her own escape quietly to the first floor… CREAAKKK. She stopped, it seemed there had been a new board that was interested in playing its own music. Heart thumping, she jumped lightly to another board, on that thankfully didn’t make a sound… much, moving as quietly as she could to the door, as to not wake anyone up. Once at the door she took as swift of a time to get out as she could. Soon she was in the frigid air, seeing her breath through the moonlight, but she didn’t shiver, her winter coat had set in nicely while she was outside all the beginning of winter. To her this was nice, the night air, the bright stars, the moon, everything was in place as it should be. She was telling herself.
