For you Shaw. SSWM: 485

Gaël hadn’t been to the Souls region in a while, or at least didn’t seem to be around all that much. It was time he got back into the swing of things and went to see how his family was doing, assuming of course that he could find them. For now he was unsure. He wondered if his sister and brother were still around to greet him and speak of any new news that may have come up. The giant knew of his brother’s location in the nearby pack to the west and wished to visit him, though he of course wanted to see the other packs that were around. The winter had brought new life to the land and he was eager to take advantage of it. His gentle nature made him seem to admire everything around the land and care for it. His secui paws padded along in the snow as he traveled along, not all too sure of where his feet would carry him. He moved his eyes around to the snow covered trees and tried to avoid the falling snow so his instrument would not be damaged. That would be the last thing he needed to happen. The male paused for a moment to stretch out his limbs and check his surroundings. He couldn’t smell much in the direction he was heading, though he had not much else to do, so he figured it was best to just be on his way. He took a moment to adjust the guitar on his back before he continued on his way.

After a while more of walking, Gaël paused as he could hear the sound of rushing water. His ears followed the sound until he stopped at the scent of something. This must have been a pack’s borders. Although he was curious to the sound of the water, he didn’t want to give the impression that he was after something, so he backed away and waited at a safe distance to see if anyone would come by. The giant, feeling a slight inspiration for some music, leaned his guitar gently against a log and began to shift into his optime form. He could feel the shifting and changing of his figure as it occurred. Once his transformation was complete, he picked his instrument back up and took a seat on the log. His claws gently brushed over the strings to produce the music, trying to match something to the flow of the water. A soothing sound was released and the male closed his eyes to get more in tune with the sounds. His eyes periodically wandered over towards the source of the original sound, sure that someone was bound to hear him playing away. His mind was at peace and now all that was left now was to wait and see if someone would greet him so he could see the water himself.

-----

She was walking, letting her own feet guide her, it had been some time since she was in her own pack and she wanted to get to know it again, although she still remembered where her feet would take her she found that some places were different… like old red… poor old red. She had remembered playing there so long ago, and now it was gone, though it seemed a new building had been erected there, she still felt it did not give the old building’s feelings of belonging, but she was sure she would get use to it. And the plane site had changed some, there were things moved, more things had become even more damaged from weather and scavaging that it wasn’t recognizable any longer. She was moving to the borders now, close to the river, when she heard something, was that a guitar? Jazper played one didn’t he? Her heart lept, had he decided he wanted to leave without letting her know, in this cold, and with such a horrible wound? She rushed to the sound of the music, only to find it was someone else, and they were beyond the borders. Amata sighed with relief, well if she thought about it, didn’t Jazper play the violin? All that seemed the same to her, they were stringed instruments in any case.

Hello.

Her voice was soft, though not unsure at all. She was a very lively female, and she was not scared of many. This giant was no acception. He towered over her six foot nine height… how anyone could work with such a big body was beyond the young woman.

You play beautifully. My name is Amata by the way.

She said, though her compliment was that, she had little knowledge of holding a tune. She did not sing or hum or anything for that one reason. That was ok with her though, she was fine with listening to other’s play their own music. She waited hoping that he heard her, though she didn’t really want to interrupt his playing. She was just curious as to why he was sitting here at the borders, playing an instrument.

Sorry for the wait. SSWM: 424

Gaël loved the sound of the guitar. He could see himself making a living out of playing his instrument, though he wasn’t sure how much of a life it would really be. He was still waiting for the family to come around before he made any final decisions on anything. So far all he had was the beauty of nature and the sounds of music that he created with his own hands. The giant paused in his performance when he caught the scent of someone nearby. It was not a lingering scent so he was sure whoever it was had just come and most likely heard the music from a distance away. He moved his turquoise gaze over to the borders as he noticed the female coming into view. She was beautiful, almost like the heavens had sent down and angel and this was her mortal form. He watched her come closer and greet him. A small smile formed on his face as he stopped playing and moved over to her. He could see that he was much taller than she was, though he was sure he was taller than mostly anyone around, seeing as he was an incredible eight feet tall. The male hoped that the female was not scared of his height. He stopped at a still bit of a distance from her. He lowered his head to her before closing his eyes. ”Hello my dear.”

Gaël couldn’t help but smile more with her compliment on his music. He raised his head and looked into her mutli colored eyes. He was glad that she introduced herself next so that he knew who he could properly thank. He slowly moved closer to her, but was still not right next to her. ”Thank you for the compliment Miss Amata.” He looked around, figuring she was from the pack that he had come to. Perhaps she would be able to take him to the source of the water within the pack lands. He looked beyond her to the lands behind her. ”Are you from the pack that resides here?” The giant could still hear the water falling in the distance and longed to see what it looked like. He would not pester her about entering the pack lands unless she invited him in. The male’s tail laid gently behind him as he set his guitar at his side. He didn’t mind that a little snow was getting on his instrument so long as he would be able to clean it off later.

OOC: Amata has been man abused you must excuse her inability to tolerate men right now <3

Without warning Amata’s walls went up as soon as he spoke, his words, they reminded her of him… but she knew this man wasn’t him. He didn’t have the man’s look or smell, but the voice, sounded like the minipulations that she’d run across when she was tending to the man she had fallen in love with. She swallowed, her happy go lucky feeling gone, but she would pretend, but she would not let this man near her heart, for she knew what he would eventually do.

Yes this is… Crimson Dreams, my mother is the Alpha here.

She would have said the other name… but the ranks had changed and she couldn’t remember what her mother was but in any case she doubted that name would have as much of an impact on him as the word alpha would.

Why is it that you are here? Is there something that brought you to these borders?

Amata asked, her face was not so much stone anymore but it was not showing all her potential she normally did show. She couldn’t help but think about him, and how he had wooed her, so why had she come up to this man so easily, and now she was so afraid? He didn’t seem to want to harm her in any way, that was surely not the case thought… was it fear that he would do the same thing to her? but he didn’t seem like a potential mate to her. Whatever the case may be she stood waiting for his answer.

Gaël could not figure out why the female in front of him suddenly seemed to have a change in her attitude towards him. He seemed to be able to tell from the change in posture and the silence that was now in the air. He did not like the fact that she had stopped talking for the moment. Was it something he had said that made her change her attitude towards him? He sure hoped it was not because of his size. The giant always thought that was his flaw. Because of this flaw, he always tried to make himself seem like the harmless gently giant who was only angered unless he was provoked. He never liked be angry with anyone, especially with someone as lovely as the wolf standing before him. He stayed where he was, not wanting to make her feel more uncomfortable than she already seemed to be. He simply laid his guitar across his legs, gently pulling on one string to make a single note.

Gaël listened to Amata as she explained which pack he had come to and tell him that her mother was the alpha of the pack. He could not believe that sure a beautiful wolf was actually the daughter to the alpha. He could not help but lower his head in respect to her. ”Is that so? Then it is an honor to meet the daughter of the alpha.” Perhaps he was being a bit modest but he could not help himself. He was saying what he felt. He just hoped all of these compliments was giving the she wolf the wrong idea. He was not a flirter. He just felt that the females should be commented on their beauty and family if they are close to the alpha. The giant paused as she asked what he was doing there in the first place. He had completely forgotten to tell her about what he was doing at the borders. He nodded. ”Ah sorry for not telling you sooner. I heard the running water from the inside of your pack lands. I was waiting to see if I could come and see it. I would never trespass into another pack.” The male was sure she would at least understand that much. He was being polite and even then asked for her permission. Like killing two birds with one stone.

She watched the man with suspicious eyes. He seemed nice enough… then again… HE seemed nice, and looked at what happened when she let her guard down. She could still be pleasant though… her mother wouldn’t like that she was being rude to a stranger, but it was hard the man was trying to be charming, and she was in no mood for charm. He did seem to have a little sense to show her a little respect… though she never called for it nor would she ever. it was appreciated all the same. His words felt like honey to her, though she kept her face blank.

Running water? Oh you mean the river?

She looked back, where the river ran, there were a few places where bridges had been built over it, thinking she figured… it might not be too bad if she let him see the river. The falls were close by too, that’s probably what he’d been hearing. Turning back she was trying to decide to let him in or not. Her herterochromic eyes looked at the man straight in the eyes.

If you promise not to do anything unwise I will let you see the river.

She said, her voice was stern and authoritative. She was no leader nor had too much status in Crimson dreams, though she hoped she’d prove herself soon enough, she still had more power over the loner in her lands. She would not be afraid to attack if he showed any signs of hurting her. Like her mother, she was very defensive when it came to herself and her pack, and since the only things he could hurt were rocks, she was more afraid for her own well being, even if he was a nice guy, she’d learned this from her time alone in the wilderness.

OOC: Sorry for the wait D: WC: 306

Gaël tilted his head to the blank expression on her face. Was he doing something wrong? He was sure that with his politeness and charm he would get some sort of reaction out of her. He was not sure what was going on in her head but he was sure she did appreciate the attitude he was showing towards her and her pack. The giant would never be hostile unless he was provoked. He could only recall this happening once with his father, but not any other time. The male emitted a soft sigh and looked over to the she wolf as she thought he was talking about the river. He pirked his ears up and listened again. ”That could be the river… but it also sounds like there’s a waterfall nearby. Am I right?” He swung the instrument onto his back as he waited to see if he was allowed into the pack lands.

Gaël nodded to Amata as she told him that he was allowed in the pack lands. He was greatful for the she wolf that she was letting him in. He smiled as he took to her side. ”Thank you my dear angel. I will be out of your lands soon. I do not wish to bring any tensions to the pack with my presence.” The giant stayed at the border. He dared not to cross the line until the angel came to lead her. Once she began to lead him, he looked around the lands. It was so beautiful even in the winter. The male took his instrument and began to experiment with a few soft tunes as he walked along. He smiled as he looked over to the she wolf. ”So tell me dear, what’s a sweet wolf like you doing out here? Just checking the borders?”
