How did you learn/hear about 'Souls?: Found it on a search.

Intro:
The trip by boat had been lonesome and exhausting. The male had come from Europe, a place he'd loved dearly. A place rich in culture and high in luxuries. Betelgeuse himself was a prince of sorts, his family a well-known one that came from a line of astronomers, leaders of a pack, and genuinely a well-respected group. Unfortunately, it was just that that had gotten to him. Betelgeuse was a low profile sort, who while friendly and well-taught in respecting those around him, was not prince material.

Still, as he thanked his captain and made his way off the putrid wooden boat with a suitcase in hand donning his best clothing, Betelgeuse could not help but feel entirely out of place. Though he was facing a cluster of homes, they were built no where near as grand as the ones back home, and certainly not kept as tidy. Indeed, it appeared as though the homes were empty. The whole area seemed deserted, in fact.

Betelgeuse had been warned that the American wolves were more feral than the Europeans he was used to, but he had certainly expected some level of similarity. It appeared there was none. A perfectly good town that they had not put to use.

As the ship refueled while docked in the harbor, Geuse made his way toward the nearest shop. His light blue eyes flitted around, trying to find some form of life but there was none to be found. He was terribly alone here and it surprised him. Surely he must be catching the area at a low activity time. Ah well, he'd wait to find out. Carefully lying his bags against a decrepit wall, the male shielded the sun from his eyes with a sturdy hand and gave a little frown. Perhaps it was better that the place was not inhabited.

This was what he had wanted, right?
