Pinks and oranges dotted the landscape, making it picture perfect with the myriads of white playing upon the earth. A gentle snowfall complimented the ending of the day, simple flakes falling gracefully, dancing and swirling with one another before taking their final stand upon the frosted ground. Everything was covered, as if ready to unveil itself at just the right moment - bright and new. It was beautiful, the land was crystal clear, despite the famine and cold that nature had to suffer through.

Bangle was always well prepared, however. Being a lone traveler meant he set his own pace, The only disadvantage of being a gypsy like he was, was that it was difficult to get attached to anyone. It would mean committing oneself to a single place, for as long as necessary. Moving around wasn't a life for just anyone, one had to be dedicated to getting up and going, even if it meant leaving memories behind. The male coywolf had found it difficult, at first, just after his banishment.

Bright orange eyes flitted down to his open paws, worn from the art he produced with them. How he wished he made them feel sorry, for banishing him. Especially his own mother, who was the leader herself, having the last say so. Bangle hardly had a friend in the world, then, or made very little connection with anyone when he did choose the nomadic life. He fully expected it to be his lifestyle for as long as he was able to breathe, and talk his way through obstacles that blocked his path. Ever since he began this kind of life, the coywolf had it all going for him. He was walking through life - literally.

Nowadays, everything looked different to the wandering merchant. Things tasted and smelled different, too. He wasn't sure what had caused it, but he had a sneaky suspicion it was caused by the fiery red headed female. She reflected the color in his eyes, permanently glued to his vision. The past few days felt like a blur, and it was the first time he acted upon his heart. And tonight, tonight he finally had a moment to let the heat of the moment cool down, sitting against a rocky outcrop, protected from the gentle falling snow. Now the coywolf wondered if it was the right decision on his behalf, if he wasn't merely acting on impulse just to get what he wanted. All the Guffawri male was used to was talking his way into and out of things, so much so that it became second nature. But he wondered, as he looked back out into the snowfall, was this deal one he wanted to take?

He heard shuffling behind him, and turned his head swiftly. His heart in his chest beat furiously, thinking that for a moment that, whatever it was, was going to attack him. It made him remember of the cougar that leaped on him, and how his pack, after several jokes, did not believe was after him. What did emerge, however, was his light brown goat, who bleat softly at the coywolf. Bangle relaxed, and stretched a hand out to the young goat in greeting. The creature trotted up and settled next to its owner - once its captor - head resting in the traveler's leather draped lap. Idly Bangle scratched the young goat's floppy ears, which she accepted happily, still engrossed in thought.

For a moment the coywolf felt out of place, not physically but mentally. He would have never decided to take a goat as a pet on his travels - he would have skinned it and eaten the tough meat. He would have made the hooves a new ornament on his walking staff, and the tail some sort of talisman. A small grin stretched his face, then, one everyone was very familiar with, as he glanced down at the little goat in his lap. It had a coffee and cream complexion, with dark legs complimenting a medium brown body. Spots of orange dotted its form, which only served to remind him of why he took the goat in the first place.

The female was as much on his mind as there was a sky overhead him, watching over him with waves of bright, warm colors. He was embraced by warmth, the last traces of it for the day, and soon Bangle knew the cold evening would draw in. Soon, he would return to his home, to see chocolate eyes and hair as vivid as the sunset which was slowly kissing the world goodnight. 'Home.. such a strange word,' the coywolf thought to himself. Never had he had a home, not since he was forced out of his home pack. He carried his belongings on his back nearly every day, finding a new place to camp as the stars found their way into the sky. Now, now there was a building he came to each night - grounded, permanent. Everything he now had to become.

Night settled in faster than Bangle thought, and soon he would return to the permanence he had gotten himself into. It didn't seem all that bad, though.. perhaps his heart did make the right decision for the lone traveler. The female goat stood up, knowing that nighttime was the time to go inside, where it was safe. Bangle heard the clip, clop-ing of the goat as it moved away from him, but when she noticed that the coywolf didn't move, she gave a soft call into the chilly air. After a few silent moments, the craftsman stood up, bracelets jingling in response to movement. He remained standing there, looking out into the world at night, orange eyes beaming with a dilemma he seemed to resolve. As he turned to leave, the goat leading the way back, he ventured one last glance into the open plains. One last, longing glance was his silent farewell to the days of travel, stepping into the forest. Stepping into a new world of friends, love, and happiness - things Bangle had never known.

A gust of wind picked up in the distance, howling into the trees, taking with it one less gypsy with eyes as bright as the days he traveled.
