And dont it feel good! lol dont mind me ive just had that song stuck in my head. Word Count:465

The woman decided to take the day off and test out her new fur cloak. It had been a hobby of hers since she started hunting rabbits for food. She didnt over hunt them, but she had been hunting them for food over the winter and their fur provided the perfect camoflauge. Ren proudly wrapped her new creation around her shoulders and tied it neatly around her neck. She wanted to see just how well her camo would work. If it could fool a wolf then it could fool a hare or deer, or even perhaps an enemy. She thought deviously to herself Now that would be interesting. However! it must be tested first!. She smiled happily as she opened the door into the morning air. The wind gusted here and there but other than the occasional breeze the morning was fair. Rendall took a deep breath and placed her hood over her head. Walking out into the morning snow.

She ehaded south instead of north like she always did, she walked along the shore line before finally turning back into the forest. She then broke trail for a bout a mile, not wanting to take the beaten path, and moved to a small clearing out in the woods. Most of the morning she spent tucked up underneath some pine, happily warmed by the extra layer of fur. A few does past her unsuspectingly and a snow shoe hare even came up to her, but as soon as it caught a wif of her it took off into the brush without a look over its shoulder. She frowned and tried rolling around in some pine needles and snow, trying to mask her scent alittle. Her work paid off when a large buck came up to her not even noticing her presence, and after munching away at some bark, turned and left her without a care in the world. Ren smiled until her stomach grumbled.

Ren groaned and sat up, rubbing her empty stomach, She was too excited about her activities that she didnt even notice to pack some food. The woman then decided that her experimenting was over and got up, walking down the trail she broke and headed back to her house. She walked clumsily back to the shore but as she approached the near open beach the salt water carried another scent on the wind to her nose. She smelled Pheonix Vally but whoever was approaching was a member she was not yet aquainted with. She dove off the trail and quieted her grumbling stomach waiting to see who was walking towards her. Now was the perfect time to try her cloak, she fluffed it out around her and stayed as still as she could, waiting for the person to reveal themselves.

Oh how much he had missed this feeling. The cool breeze from the sea washed over Kami as if it was a blanket, welcoming him home. The smallest of smiles formed on his unflinching expression as he closed his eyes and pointed himself into the wind. The sea was something he had grown up with, something he had almost forgotten since the exile. He couldn't help but feel almost at peace as his dug his paws into the yielding sand. Savoring the feeling of the cold earth against his skin as he continued his patrol. His journey through the pack lands had taken him across vast fields, thick forests, and now a beach.

" I could get used to this. . " he thought to himself as he opened his eyes and scanned his surroundings. Thinking to himself that he would like to make a home here someday as he inhaled deeply. The salty scent of the air giving him an almost casual step in his almost always strict posture as he started walking once again. As much as he would like to stay right here, he had resolved himself to exploring the entirety of his new packs lands. It was important he learned the boundaries, but he made a point to come back to this place once he finished the task. With his small smile quickly fading and his step becoming once again more serious and with purpose.

Jumping over a rather large rock that had somehow stranded itself in the beach, his paws splashed noisily into a small pool of seawater. As much as he enjoyed the beach, it was still winter and the chill of the ocean wind had begun to take its toll. His eyes sweeping the area before making the decision to head inland. The trees would offer a nice break from the wind and he was starting to get hungry. With all this traveling he had spent little time hunting and it was starting to catch up with him. Leaping over yet another large rock he began to leave the beach behind him and enter the woods. His whole body shook slightly as he relished being out of the bone chilling wind and dampness of the surf. That is when he saw it; a single paw print only half imprinted into the soft dirt.

His whole body tensed up as the cold was quickly forgotten. The jet black nose inching towards the print as he sniffed. Something was off though and he knew it as soon as he got a whiff of what he knew was a wolf. His face to the ground as he tried to follow the scent. He could tell someone was covering their tracks and doing a fairly good job of it. Of course this thought did nothing to ease his mind, why would a member of the Valley try and cover their tracks in their own territory? He would occasionally raise his head to look around, his eyes narrowing as he tried to better his vision to the scene around him. Hardly thinking about it his nose would dive right back to the earth though as he did his best to keep the track of the scent. His mind so focused on the tracking that he had not noticed where he was going. His right foot falling hard against something white, furred, and soft? Immediately Kami jumped backwards, his ears flat against his head and his teeth bared. A soft growl vibrating in his throat as he looked at what he could only guess was the source of the scent he had followed. " Stand up! " he snapped aggressively, unsure of what to expect. . .

OOC: It might take a little while for my to answer this week, ill be out of town. word count: 361

Rendalls fur automatically tensed at the males command. Geese what a bossy person. but in hoping not to shock ehr new bully of a companion rendall stood gracefully removing her cloak as she did so. Her black wavy hair stretched all the way down to her lower back bairly brushing above her tail. She obsereved the male with her deep unusually blue eyes. Her ears twitched a little checking for any others that might be in the area. The ravyn black male was fairly larger then she was though her fear of him was non-exsistant. She had faced much worse than him. Obviously hurt by his sense of humor, Or lack there of she answered hereself, she eyed him carefully, not sure of what to think.

He was around her age, perhaps a little older though he didnt look it. Or act like it, most males around her age were cocky and happy......He most certainly was not Well cocky maybe...but definatly not happy. Then she looked up his eyes and tried her hardest not to gasp. He had the same eyes that Ylva had. She looked down for a moment thinking to herself, she hadnt used her mothers name in a long time. Ren had also noticed that he carried a scar along his face, not uncommon for many wolves in the pack, they all had their scars. Ren always had a black scarf around her left hind leg to cover hers.

Finally she decided, seeing as though he was pack, to try to converse with him, though she already knew that they probably wouldnt hit it off right away, it was still good to try. She never liked bossy wolves, but even the grumpy old patriarch wasnt this mean to her, she tried not to hold it against the tall black male when she spoke. "Um....hi, my name is Rendall. and yours would be?"

OOC: No worries. :3 The work week really slows down my replies anyways x.o

Kami had his paws still planted firmly in the ground as he watched the hidden figure rise off of the forest floor. His eyes watching every movement very closely, looking for anything that could be an act of aggression. " Why would someone be hiding themselves all the way out here?" he thought to himself as the cloak silently fell to the side and revealed its wearer. The growling immediately ceased as the familiar scent of the pack had reached his nostrils. Cursing himself mentally as his posture relaxed once again. Any thought that this person could be a danger were quickly evaporating from his mind.

She was younger, perhaps a year and a half or so. Though then again he had never really been very good with predicting ages. Her fur a beautiful mix of black and white, but what really caught his eye was the patches of what almost looked to be blue where the sunlight hit her back. Narrowed eyes falling upon a black piece of cloth tied around her hind leg before snapping back up. Golden eyes meeting blue for the first time as he answered the question without thought " Kami. . ." The name was spoken quickly and bluntly. He regretted the word as soon as it had left his muzzle. No, thats not how he wanted to introduce himself, he was determined of that

" My name, its Kami." this time his voice was softer and almost friendly. Seemingly satisfied with his response the second time around he walked towards her. All aggression long since gone, but still leaving behind the stony expression he seemed to carry more often then he would probably like. As he neared Rendall his pace slowed so not to make her nervous. He was pretty confident that he had not made a very good first impression, but she had not run away so perhaps there was hope he could turn things around. " Very impressive." he thought to himself as his nose moved in to sniff at the rabbit furred cloak that had hidden Rendall so well. IT had certainly masked her scent well enough that he could not tell she was a Valley wolf. Once again he returned his gaze back to her as he spoke " I'm sorry for my reaction. . . " his voice trailed off as he looked to the cloak before speaking again " In my defense though, I've never seen anything like that before."

OOC: I'm back!!!! lol word count:323

Ren fought the urge to snarl and yank her cloak back, the males reaction when he saw her was most definatly different then what he acted upon first. Whe nshe caught his name he at first acted as if his mind seemed somewhere else, she raised an eyebrow at him, when he repeated himself he sounded more kind though his stilled face revealed nothing of his emotions. Why are some males always like this? she observed him futher, he seemed the handsome type though she never really paid attention. She guessed that in the eyes of a more mate-searching female he would seem attractive, Ren mentally shrugged and tossed the thought aside not really wanting to linger on such wierd things.

When the male apologized for his actions she grinned slightly, he was nicer then he lead on to be. She looked down at her winter cloak as he inquired about it. and grinned alittle more. "It's made for hunting mostly, but it keeps the cold away and is good camoflauge against...." she looked down before answering "Well those who arent nearly as friendly I should say." she turned her gaze back up at the male. He seemed fairly interesting though mysterious. She always heard Zeru talking of guys like then...then Vulcan, her brother, would roll his eyes and try to walk away from the talkative woman.

Ren observed the male further and almost glared when he had looked at her leg. That was most certainly non of his business. A sudden sound of a gurgle interupted her thougts and she looked down at her stomach blushing slightly. Putting a hand on her protesting belly she tried ot avoid eye-contact with the male. "Well its good to meet you Kami. And uh...um... do you want to come over for lunch? as you can hear ive been out here all morning and would like to cure my hunger before the day is done."

OOC: Welcome back lol Just in time for the weekend :3

Kami listened intently as his blue eyed pack mate explained the cloak that had concealed her so well. The idea of using a preys fur for camouflage seemed both ingenious and yet so foreign to him. His old pack had kept to more traditional means of hunting and he followed those traditions even in exile. This female though, and perhaps the whole pack seemed to have different ideals. As accomplished as Kami had considered himself he knew he had alot to learn from the pack. She did seem friendly enough, even though the moment did seem a bit awkward as he could almost feel her eyes studying him. He had no room to judge, having been doing the exact same thing.

The awkward feeling was interrupted as his right ear perked straight up, hearing the soft and low rumble emanating from Rendall's stomach. " Lunch? " he said out loud, a bit confused. The question more towards himself then the female before him. He tried to think about the last time he had actually eaten a meal with someone. Distant memories of his mother and siblings surged forward, but he quickly brushed them aside. This was not a time for remembering the past, but creating a new future. Something he knew could not happen if he just ignored his new companions and patrolled the borders as a lone wolf.

He couldn't help but feel conflicted about the invitation though. Part of him still warned caution, but the other part was curious and almost excited about the prospect. His tail flicking a few times side to side without him even thinking about it. This being the only actual sign of emotion he had shown since they had begun talking with her. " Actually, lunch sounds pretty good right now." the tone of his voice almost sounding casual now. Looking over his shoulder towards the beach as he inhaled the scent of the somewhat distant sea one more time before turning back to Rendall. He definitely would come back to this place one day when he got the chance. Slowly he looked around the woods surrounding them as if he was looking for something " Your den is around here somewhere?" he knew his conversation skills were lacking, but already he felt as though he had come a long way. Silently he waited to see if Rendall would show him the way.

Ren almost laughed when the male mentioned a den. Though she didnt want to hurt his feelings, she kept it under control. "I dont have a den, but yes my home is not far from here" She hadnt lived in a den since she was a pup. It was always cabins for her, weather it was on a ship or in the woods, she prefered living in them, but she didnt tell her new comrad that, she wanted to see how he would react to such a thing. She nodded for the male to join her as she lead the way down the trail towards the beach. She quietly walked along the icy water and finally turned back up towards another part of the trail. The one that lead to the inner part of the Valley instead of the outskirts.

As she continued to walk down it she couldnt help but wonder what the male was doing out around the boundreis. scouting perhaps? It didnt really matter, she liked spending time on her own exploring places as much as she liked spending time with other wolves, but this male was a new one for her, he didnt seem too sociable and she became quickly curious about him. Though she knew that if her suspitions of the male were true then she probably wouldnt get many answers. She sighed, somewhat disapointed, and walked peacefully down the beaten path.

The trail itself was shadowed by a few dead oaks, trees that were sleeping out the cold season. During the summer it was like a tunnel of leaves, she loved running through it as a child here. Making her mentor chase after her. She would then try to hide from him, but...because of her fur, she wasnt very good at hiding. They neared the field about a quarter of a mile away from her warm home and food. Her stomach grumbled slightly at the thought. But she looked at the field with a slight dread in her eyes. It showed brightly in the sunlight. Any other day with any other wolf would be different, she would have walked out without hesitation. But this was someone new and she didnt know how he would react. Finally she huffed alittle and stepped out into the snow. Her fur...as always, practically glowed the brilliant blue, she stopped and turned expectantly towards the male. "Just a little farther now. Were almost there."

She turned and trotted somewhat quickly towards the little cabin at the edge of the field clearing. When she finally reached the porch she opened the door for them and held it for Kami. She nodded quickly for him to go inside as the warmth spilled from the house. "Come on in, I'll have food up and going in no time."

Kami's eyes searched left and right off of the frozen trail that Rendall was leading him on. All of his senses were tuned to looking for any sort of threat, but of course there were none. He couldn't help himself though, it had been one of the things that kept him alive all these months on his own. " Things are different now." he thought to himself as a soft sigh escaped his muzzle. They were heading deeper into pack territory and she certainly had more reason to distrust him then he did her. His posture relaxing as he returned his gaze back to the raven black female in front of him. She was definitely an interesting wolf and he couldn't help but wonder what her story was. The black scarf tied around her hind leg catching his eye once again.

Without being so concerned about the potential dangers around them he was able to more easily take in the scenery. It was definitely a beautiful place even in the depths of winter when most signs of life had been stripped away by frost and snow. Suddenly Rendall seemed to slow as they neared the edge of a large opening in the forest. He looked past her and could see a small human structure at the far side of the field. " She lives in one of those?" the idea to him was a bit of a surprise, but not completely unexpected. He had heard that some wolves used the remnants of human dens for shelter, but his old pack was not one of them. From a very early age he was warned to keep away from the old buildings. His parents would tell Kami and his siblings the horror stories of what happened to young pups if they would go near, or worse yet inside one of these death traps.

Of course such stories were nothing but fodder to his young mind. What was meant to make them afraid had only made Kami more curious and reckless. He could almost still hear the cry of his sister as he watched her fall through the rotten floorboards of that old house they used to play in. That experience was able to do what his parents stories could not. He stayed clear of these antiques of human settlement when at all possible. Rendalls assuring voice snapped him out of the memory. He shut his eyes as he stepped out into the field, feeling the warm sun against his fur once again. The permanent dilation of his left pupil had always left that eye particularly vulnerable to bright light, including from the sun. He knew that the glare reflecting off the snow would be especially painful though. Upon opening his eye he was not greeted with the sight he had expected to see.

Rendalls once black fur now shined a vivid blue. Kami had placed his paw in a small hole in the trail, causing him to trip slightly as his attention was completely on this female. He had thought he saw splotches on her earlier, but he had never seen anything like this. Quickening his pace so not to fall behind it was obvious she had wanted to cross the field quickly. Any interest in her story he had before was now almost all consuming. Even as they neared the wooden den he could barely take his eye off her, until she reached the door and opened it for him. Golden eye falling upon a strange marking on her tail, something he had not seen the whole time they had been traveling together through the woods. Despite the kind invitation she had presented him, his reservations about the dwelling were only slightly put at ease. His body low to the floor as he carefully placed a paw inside the doorway. A jet black nose was the next thing to enter, his senses bombarded by the warmth of the place. A combination of his female friends scent and the items of the dwelling seemed to give him the assurance he needed to enter.

Kami slowly entered the building, sitting down not to far off from the doorway. His right paw pressing down on the flooring, testing it for stability. " This is. . .nice." he said looking around the cabin as Rendall followed him inside, the blue fur once again changing back to its original color. Kami watched her closely as she walked through, unsure of what to say. He didn't know what was appropriate conversation anymore, but the questions about her fur and marking was definitely at the forefront of his mind. Those questions though could wait for now. " So you actually like living in the human dens? Why?" he asked sincerely. There was so much he wanted to know. . .

nice pic!

Ren looked around her home happily "I most certainly do, I like having plenty of room for my things as well as complete warmth and security. This place provides much of what I need. It wasnt in this good of condition at first. but I've replaced many of the fram work here, so its as good as new." She had a feeling that he felt insecure in the place, so she provided a little info in hopes it would calm his nerves. She stepped into the kitchen getting the pot ready to heat some meat she had left over. She also put some water up to boil for tea. "Make yourself at home." She told the male as she came back into the living room. She went to the bedside table and grabbed the strap that had been sitting there for some time, grabbed her bow, and sat comfortably on a coushion, begining to re-string the bow.

She Looked up at him and patted a coushion right next to her, nodding for him to join her by the fire. "Its warmer down here you know." she chuckled and continued to mess with the string and bow until finally the new strap locked into its place. She plucked it once and nodded with affection. Ren loved the object fondly. It was a gift from her brother when she learned how to shoot. He had it hand-crafted by a celt in Ireland, a celt she had grown sweet on, but never had she felt the true connection. So, sadly, she left him to continue her journey.

OOC: Thanks :3 I really need to stick to one though

He couldn't help but laugh a bit sarcastically at the thought. His eyes following Rendalls every movement as she walked so causally through her home. She was obviously very comfortable here and as he looked around the cabin he could start to slowly see why. As his golden eyes fell upon all the luxuries and niceties that Rendall enjoyed he couldn't help but think that perhaps he had been wrong about the human dens. He had always looked at them as more a potential danger then anything else, but with the proper care. . .

His thoughts were interrupted by the soft padding of Rendall's hand on the seat next to her. Kami stared at her for a moment as if confused by what she was asking, his head tilting just a fraction of an inch to one side. " Oh, sure. " he said, finally standing up and moving from the spot he had taken since first entering the home. The small clicking of his claws against the wooden floor could be heard as he approached his female friend. His head still low as he traveled across the room, still not feeling quite comfortable despite Rendalls warm welcome. As he got closer he could see that she was busying herself with something. Easing himself down onto the cushion as if at any moment it would jump up and bite him in the rear, until finally he sat. His body sinking into the soft cloth as he began to relax. " I could get used to this. . ." he thought to himself as the warmth of the fire began to thaw out his bones.

Settled in now, Kami took a better look at his host. She seemed to be playing with some sort of long stick. It wasn't until she held it up that he was able to tell what it was, his ear laying flat against his skull as he spoke. " A weapon?" the tone of his voice hinted at surprise. Kami had only seen a weapon like this once in his entire life, and unfortunately he had been on the receiving end of it. " Did you make that as well? Like the cloak?" he asked curiously. His normally coarse demeanor seemingly being stripped away slowly as he became more impressed by this females talent and warm personality.

lol

The wolfess chuckled as he made the comment about getting use to everything, some wolves were meant to live in the comfort of dens and some in the comfort of cabins. She couldnt blame him for being alittle suspicious, she wasnt use to it till DaVinci took her in, but sometimes, once a wolf gets use to it, they just end up prefering it more.Granted she did miss living in the occasional den now and again, but she still enjoyed the comfort of her home. Ren looked out the window for a moment, realizing that the snow had definatly picked up, she frowned alittle, she didnt like the deep snow. Kami's voice drew her back, She smiled and shook her head alittle "To me, my bow is a tool, not a weapon, less someone were to threaten me or my pack....and sadly no I didnt make it. It was gifted to me by my brother Vulcan, made by the finest Irish craftsman in all the northern region" She smiled, and slightly chuckled again. She was happy to answer Kami's questions, she welcomed curiousity.

Her ears picked up the tea pot, squeaking its ready in the kitchen, and got up to go remove the water from the heat. Once that was done, she did the usual routine of grabbing two cups, she had found that she had been having tea more with people than herself, and poured some water in, fallowed by the tea herbs. She checked on the heating meal, and nodding with acceptance, took it out, placing it in two bowls with some biscuits from the other morning. When she felt the tea was ready she removed the herbs carefully with a spoon and put alittle sugar into each. It always made the bitter drink taste better. Finally, with satisfaction she grabbed the bowls and cups, and took them into the other room where Kami was. She set a cup and food in front of him and nodded happily "Here we are, nice and warm"

Kami continued to study the long wooden instrument even as his host left him. It certainly was an interesting tool and his curiosity about the women who wielded it continued to grow. " Wonder what an Irish is." he thought as Rendalls approaching footsteps caused him to look back up towards her. Shifting his rear on the soft seat as she placed the items down in front of him. As he eyed the items he couldn't have felt more out of place. With nothing but the soft sound of the freshly falling snow and the crackling of the fire Kami found himself in a position he had never been before. Though he felt a bit alienated, it was actually quite. . .comfortable.

"So where is your brother now?" he asked as he leaned down and stuck his nose perhaps a little to close to the hot tea. The earthy scent of herbs overloading his senses and causing him to recoil a bit. Snorting lightly as he stared down the end of his muzzle a bit cross eyed, caught off guard by the strong smell. " Is he here in the Valley or?. . ." his voice trailing off as he looked back up to Rendall, he didn't want to jump to any conclusions and she seemed to be willing to share so far. His left ear perking at attention towards the female so that she would know he was listening as he began to look back down at the food she placed in front of him. The golden eyes once again lingering on the scarf covering her hind leg before he turned to the bowl of meat. Sniffing it lightly and letting the sweet yet abnormal smell of cooked meat fill his nose. Without a second thought he placed his muzzle deep into the bowl and pushed it around a bit as he attempted to get a mouthful of the warm meal. It had been awhile since he had eaten and the cold of winter always seemed to steal more energy from him then the warmth of spring and summer. Finally getting his maw full he leaned back up and swallowed. The warm meat reminding him much of the feeling after having a fresh kill as it slid down his throat. " What about the rest of your family?" his eyes locking again with the wolfess bright blue orbs not really knowing what kind of answer to expect. He was aware that bombarding someone with so many questions could be a bit off putting, but he wanted to know and subtlety in conversation was certainly not Kamis strong point.

OOC:Sorry for the wait I cant seem to catch a break anymore lol icky short post

Ren wanted to laugh when she heard his open thought, but, not wanting to embarrass her guest she pretended not to notice the comment. As she began to eat her ears perked up at his question, she shook her head gently before swallowing the food in her mouth. "No I'm afraid not, my brother lives with his own pack miles north-west of here. He lives there with his mate, I've been given word that they will be expecting children soon, so my guess is that he'll be there for quite some time" She smiled brightly but froze when he asked about the rest of her family. Her features seem to fade alittle and she focused her sad gaze on the fire. "Well I hear that my sisters have the same life as my brother now. Both in their own packs with their own families. However, my parents are...well. Dead. I'm not sure about anyone else I might be related to." she turned her gaze back to the male and smiled gently. She didnt take offence to his question. Curiosity was a natural thing for any wolf. To punish one for it would be a stupid thing.

Ren went back to eating before she decided to ask a question herself. "So, what about your family?" She decided that since they were on the topic of personal questions then why not ask a few herself? She took another bite, savoring the taste for a while before swallowing once again and taking another bite. Ren looked at the male curiously her ears both cocked to the side to she her friendly curious way. She smiled at the male, letting him know that she could trust him. She was good at keeping secrets.

OOC: Welcome back and happy birthday :3 My post is kind of a lame but its like 11:15 and I'm beat x.x

The warm food that was prepared so carefully by his host was now left forgotten on the floor at his feet. His attention only on the dark female in front of him and even the occasional popping of burning wood did little to distract his focus. The death of her parents was actually not surprising to him. In this world it seemed to him that one was lucky if they reached adult hood let alone raise a family. Kami had met few old wolves in his life and he could only imagine why, but of course he wouldn't raise this point to the female. Judging by the way she gazed into the burning fire he could almost imagine her picturing the lost family members within the flames. Just because he was a bit cyinical didn't mean he had to push it on others. Especially others kind of enough to offer him sanctuary.

His eyes drifting up to look through the small window behind Rendall momentarily. The softly falling snow seemed as though it was setting in for the duration, not that it bothered him. His ear rotated towards her voice with his gaze not following far behind. Faced with the gentle and curious eyes of his host he couldn't help but feel a bit obligated to answer her question. despite some small reservations. " My family? I'm sure they are all alive if that is what your asking." his voice trailed off a bit as he looked away. The tip of his tail twitching slightly in agitation as he thought back to his last days in his old pack. As a child he had grown up happy and innocent under loving parents and alongside his siblings. Looking back up and into the questioning eyes of Rendall he relented " I have a sister and a brother. The rest of the litter wasn't needed so they were. . .destroyed. "

The memories that he had put to the back of his mind had begun to resurface as he spoke. The corner of his lip twitching just enough to reveal the sharp ivory teeth hidden behind the flesh. He could almost feel the burning of the hot metal against his skin as the X shaped marking was placed against his body. Permanently exiling him from his family and the place he had called home since he was a pup. With a lot of mental effort and a large sigh, the black wolf visibly relaxed once again. Placing his front legs out in front of him so that he would be facing the fire and his head resting comfortably on the back of his paws. He had almost scared the poor girl off once before when the first met, and he certainly didn't want to scare her off now. Normally he had such control over his emotions, but something felt different as he sat here in Rendall's home.

" My family were basically the. . .Omegas of the pack. Sort of a second class to the hand picked wolves that directed the group like it was their personal toy. My parents would hunt, work, and provide for them and would be protected by the pack in return. Omegas lived with certain sets of rules though. Rules that I couldn't live by. . ." Kami felt he owed her an explanation for his little outburst. His tail wrapping around his side even tighter as he spoke "I have a problem with anyone who thinks they are better because of a title. " his voice was blunt, but sincere. It was as basic of a reason as he could come up with, but it would do for now. He knew it could be asking for trouble by basically telling a pack member that he didn't exactly respect a hierarchy. Though Rendall seemed about as opposite from the power hungry egomaniacs of his past as she could get and he was willing to take that chance.

His ear flicking slightly as leaned back up and took another bite of the slowly cooling meal before resting his head once again. " So how did end up here in the Valley then? When the rest of your family is somewhere else starting their own families?" he was legitimately curious about her past. but he certainly was not wanting to linger on his own anymore for the time being. Having lived day to day for so long and with nothing but the present to worry about, the idea of his own future was a refreshing one to say the least. With the warmth of the fire wrapping around his body like a blanket he sat patiently, waiting for her reply.
