He'd gotten a sense of wanderlust, venturing to the edges of the Cour territory in an attempt to find a discernable scent amongst the snow. He knew who he was looking for. He wanted so badly for her to be there too.

But she wasn't.

Kambujiya sat himself down, disappointment written so clearly across his face. How many times had he ventured to the borders of the lands in an attempt to find his mother? And how many times had he failed to find her? Every time, for many times. He exhaled, distressed at the idea that she was truly gone. He was left with no one, simply himself.

He turned away from the border, unwilling to stand and return to his home until his mind was cleared. It wasn't fair; other people had their families and homes, and he was stuck without. But he didn't complain, not usually. He did enjoy his new place within the Cour. He just missed his mother.

Solemnly, he rested his head on his paws, staring back toward Lunenburg and settling into the snow. When would the winter go away?

Oh yeah, exploration, yeah.

Range wasn't sure how he had made it this far. Between sweet puppy naps and a few unneeded detours, he had been traveling for about five hours. But time wasn't really a factor in the youngster's mind. He wasn't worried about Gideon looking for him; Melee seemed to always be on the road. He envied her in a way. Even with her deformity she still seemed to participate in every thing a 'normal' pup would.. And compared to him, she had experienced life more then he had. The pup studied the boundless land that was laid out in front of him, sniffing at the air for a trace of an interesting scent. The smell of the Dahlia territory was long gone; seeming to have disappeared with the last gust of wind that had whipped by. Of course this was not actually the case, but with the cold resting so heavily in the air his sense of smell was not at its best.

The pup's stomach growled, killing the silence with its awful gurgling sound. He glanced around, searching for a small patch of revealed grass. He knew that he did not yet have enough skill to kill a rabbit on his own.. Not that he was a fan of killing any ways. "Maybe wes can be like daddy!" He smiled at this thought; but no water was to be found. The pup gave a small sigh before carrying on towards his destination, keeping his nose on the ground as he searched for any hint of some thing edible.

It did not take long for the pup to pick up a scent. Though he was not sure it was one that would lead him to food, it was some thing. He lifted his head, searching the land that was laid out before him. The trees were the same as the ones he had seen on his way here. It was much like the scent of Conor's land.. Just in a different area. And definitely by a different wolf. It was a difficult thing to describe, but over time he would get used to the smell left by others to mark their territory. He hesitated for a moment or two, worried about how the wolf defending the border would greet him. Not all things were friendly, that was for sure. He made sure to keep his ears flattened and tail low, a sure sign of submissiveness by any wolf. Curiosity was a huge trait of his.. But even with his young age he had at least some common sense.

The boy cocked a brow upon seeing the pup. His body looked a bit more evened out then then the brown furred boy, but he didn't look to be as old as Gideon. Range gave a small yip to get his attention, his tail waggling behind him. He wouldn't of minded being greeted by an adult, but he had to admit he felt comfortable around younger audiences.

He continued to sit, wallowing in a pool of depression that he was not soon to come out of, until a young yip drew his attention back to the world around him. Something was there, behind him; he turned himself, looking to the younger male in surprise. This wasn't one of the pack pups. He carried a smell that was different, washed out by the winter but still filing him away outside of the Cour des Miracles. He seemed happy, his tail waggling around behind him. Kambujiya blinked a few times, steadily watching before finally drawing himself to his feet and approaching the border once again.

"Hello?" He was confused; if there was this puppy, were there other wolves? What if they were bad wolves, like Niro had talked about before? A wary expression crossed his eyes as he cast a glance to each side. He wasn't ready to fend off intruders if they came en masse, but for now it was just this puppy.

Maybe he was an orphan who needed a home. If that was the case, Kambujiya was certain they'd need Vigilante to come and see him; Vigilante had taken him in, after all, and he felt certain that his pseudo-father would be willing to take in this little boy as well. "Are you lost or something?" he asked, ready to clarify the purpose of the visit.

Oh yeah, exploration, yeah.

"Hello!" The boy's tail continued on swaying as he flashed the boy a smile. As far as Range knew, he was the only pup who sat at the border and waited for visitors. Unless this wolf wasn't waiting for anyone.. "Oh, no. Not lost." He looked around, his tail ducking between his legs once again. How could he explain how he had wondered this far? " I from Dahlia. This is a new pack lands? He was unsure how to address the male. He was no longer on his own lands, meaning he was almost as good as prey. "But Gideon would be Maddd... if I got hurt" He wondered who else would be. There was no way to tell for sure if Nayru or Uncle Saul really liked him. Or even Gideon, but he hoped at least one person would miss him.

The pup did not look that threatening. But he could easily react to Range the same way as Range had reacted to that one male that had been trespassing. "That's 'cause hes was rude." "I don't mean to bes disrespectful; I just wanted to meet other packs." He pawed at the ground nervously, avoiding the male's eyes as to not see if he was giving him a mean look.

He was excited, apparently, a fact discerned by the swaying tail behind the boy's smaller body. It didn't seem to stay for long as Kambujiya questioned him. Was he lost? No, not lost. He watched the boy's tail tuck between his legs, a sign he was uneasy. It prompted curiosity from the growing Prince, a curiosity that bubbled over into him actually moving. Up he sat from his position on the ground, up to his feet from that point, and closer to the edge of the territory where the stranger stood.

"I from Dahlia. This is a new pack lands?"

Kambujiya snorted. "Not new. Been here longer 'n me." His brown eyes squinted as he stared, curious about the weird little boy who had appeared from seemingly nowhere. Was he stupid? Did he really not know about the pack? Well, he did use a strange name. Dahlia. What was Dahlia? The older male's ear twitched, a faint grimace passing his face. He didn't know something, and it bothered him.

Silently, he tried to push his frustration out of his mind. It wasn't fair to take it out on the visitor, especially a curious one. He wanted to meet other packs, and there was nothing wrong with that. The Prince's brown eyes watched as the younger male pawed the ground, uneasy.

"Well, what 're ya lookin' to learn 'bout 'em? Guess I can tell you 'bout us. King Vigi ain' 'round, though."

THIS LOVELY TABLE FILLED WITH SEXYNESS WAS MADE BY NUKI! Big Grin You may slap an OCC ending onto this if you please, since I saw you are dropping him. It could just be some thing about how Kam tells Range about the people in charge and stuff.

The change in the voice tone surprised Range as he offered up information about the pack. "What does we wanna learn?" He cocked his head a bit, studying the brown dirt underneath him. He was quite happy that he had not trespassed enough for it to be considered rude, but that only took away half the weight on his shoulders. Now, it was like being hosed off with freezing water, and he was only just beginning to react. What did he want to learn? And who was this.. King Vigi? Range sighed, but brought himself to speak in at least a semi grateful sounding voice. "Anything yous willing to tell me. I tells yous about Dahlia too, yeah?" He was hopeful now. Not only had he seen much great scenery on his way, but he was also about to obtain information. Even if the pup didn't end up saying anything that would be of use to him, he could at least be a future friend.

[html]Feel free to just assume they went their separate ways or that Range sat down and told him about Dahlia before he left. <3

He appeared uncharacteristically patient as he waited to hear what the boy wanted to know. The answer wasn't really very specific. Anything that the older boy wanted to tell him. The russet male wrinkled up his nose slightly as he tried to think of something to say. The pup had come to visit, to learn, but he didn't really know much his self.

So he started where he had first begun, with the King of the Court, Vigilante Haskel. The story about Vigilante, whom he hesitantly referred to as 'father' as if testing the waters with the word, wasn't long or even really factual. He expanded on his deep adoration of the mutt-king, telling the stranger about how Vigilante had found him and how he led the pack with Ayita.

Kambujiya didn't get truly excited until he started to speak about Niro Takekuro and his feathered friends. Birds were a fascination to the Prince, something he aspired to do with his life just as his older friend did. He was determined to have a bird just like Marahute.

In the mind of the boy, there were no other members of the pack, just his pseudo-family and the huntsman, and that was all he spoke of. But even his favorite people ran out of things to mention, and his words slowly dwindled down into nothing. There wasn't anything else to say, but this Dahlia left him curious and he tilted his head to the side. "What's Dahlia?"
