The male went about, his bag slung over one brown shoulder. Fallen's darker bangs went over his empty socket, slightly waving as he walked with ease and grace. His other eye, which was there and teal, wandered from empty store to store, with a slight bored look. This was his first trip to the city, and he was slightly disappointed. He thought there must be a music store around, with a violin, or something. Yet, most of the stores were destroy, with vines growing over them, and most of the stuff gone. He sniffed around with his nose, scenting for anything. All he could smell was the ocean. He sighed to himself, before looking at one store in front of him. It was broken down, like every other one, but a certain smell attracted him. Basil! It was slowly growing, but there was a small patch right next to the store. It had calming qualities, it is said to help calm others, and get rid of anxiety. He trotted over, and crouched on one knee. He hadn't found basil in awhile, and it was pretty rare during this season. Yet, it was there. He careful picked it, and retrieved a jar from his bag, and slipped the basil in. He held the jar up, and smiled to himself, something pretty rare for the male. Basil also had cooking qualities. He began to whistle, a song that he quite liked, even though it was about destruction in a different place of a important bridge. It was London Bridge. He had learned the violent song when he was younger, but it wasn't considered violent, and it was a kids song. The lyrics slowly ran through his head as he stood up, and then he quickly trotted into the house, his legs working easily through the debris. He found some more basil, and put it in the jar, and a few other things, yet they weren't that important. But the basil was a good find atleast. He walked out of the store, and put the jar away into the green army bag. He walked with ease and grace, silence and lethalness, although, being lethal wasn't needed at the moment. He was in a fine mood, a fine mood indeed. He even began to sing.

"London Bridge is falling down,

Falling down, falling down,

London Bridge is falling down,

My fair Lady.

Build it up with wood and clay,

Wood and clay, wood and clay,

Build it up with wood and clay,

My fair Lady.

Wood and clay will wash away,

Wash away, wash away,

Wood and clay will wash away,

My fair Lady."

He walked to the beach, which was quite close to the broken city of Halifax. He walked with ease on the soft sand, that was cold, but a slight hint of warmth. The water was lapping against the beach, the cold, icy depths brushing at his feet. He shivered slightly, and put his large hands in his cargo pant's pockets, and wrapped the deer hide jacket around him tighter. Beneath the warm jacket was a clean button down shirt, which he had washed in a river not to long ago. His teal eye was clear, but now blank, as he looked upon the ocean, the endless water never stopping. He ran a sharp claw through his bangs, and his finger tip rubbed against the rough skin, where his eye had once been. Maybe he should get an eye patch. But then he would look stupid. Maybe if he got one with and eye design on it....

Her need to roam had hit her quite suddenly. She was happy with her new found life in Phoenix Valley. She did not quite feel as if she was 'part of the family' yet. But she did feel as if her and Noah were growing closer by the day. He took good care of her, always trying his best to make sure she was both comfortable and happy. It was almost as if he saw the brighter side of her, even though she had not fully revealed it to him yet. She could slowly feel herself slipping away from the darkness.. And she was sure as hell relieved that it seemed to have lost it's tight grip on her. The voices had been quite nasty lately- But Yuki assured herself that it was just taking them a bit of time to get used to her new life. They didn't like change, even if it was some thing that had to be done. "Darkness does not always leave to evil.. Just as light does not always lead to good." She let out a puff of air, demonstrating her frustration with them. She knew her mother's words were speaking of Noah.. Which only pissed her off even more.

Yuki had never been to a library before. It was an interesting place, though. It smelled differently then a lot of the other places in Halifax. This one in particular was in very good shape. Most of the books had print that was still readable, and most of them had rarely any mold growing. The girl picked up one of the books, dusting it off with one of her snowy coloured paws. She tilted her head, studying the words that were printed on the front. "Bibel.. Bib.. L. Bible.." She sighed, talking was so much easier then reading. Her mind wandered back to her lessons, trying to remember what the rule was with E's. "When then the e is at the end.. Make the vowel before say it's name" Yuki closed her eyes for a moment, thinking hard. "Bible.. Bible! I already said it." She laughed lightly, thinking about how insane she would look if someone had been watching her. She opened the first page of the book, startled by the object the slipped from it. She put the book back where she had discovered it, bending down and picking up the item. Her eyes filled with tears as she realized what it was. To any body else, it would be seen as just another piece of jewelry. But to the female, it was much more then that. Hanging from the beaded chain was a cross, the same shape that had been crushed by Kemo. Her heart ached as she remembered the dear item.. "Don't you dare cry." The harsh words hardly surprised Yuki but they helped her manage to her emotions, nonetheless. Her tears seemed to fade as she clutched the item, wondering what she could do to keep it safe this time.

"Give it to Noah. Go on, I know you want to." The girl smiled, happy that the voice had actually said some thing useful. She knew it was trying to be rude by the tone, but she decided to use the idea any ways. Her paws carried her out of the shop, her head held high as she searched for some thing interesting to do. She assumed that she would end up sleeping here.. Some where. Valley was quite far, and she had already done enough traveling today. The female only walked for a minute or two before stumbling upon the male. She was a bit amused, smiling to herself as she listened to him sing. She started towards him as he headed over to the beach, not working very hard to hide her presence. After taking a few steps upon the sand, she called out to him. "Hello?"

The cold sand and snow underfoot made his feet throb. It was a chilly day, luckily, he had his coats and long cargo pants, but his feet were defenseless against the bitter cold that the ground produced. He sighed, he didn't exactly care for some reason though. He moved his toes as waves lightly splashed them, caressing his toes with cold kisses. A gentle wind smoothed his fur, as he felt it waving his long fur. It felt good, yet the icy wind bit at his skin. He lifted his muzzle slightly towards the sky, and moved the fedora lightly. He couldn't believe what he was going to do. Completely reveal the ugly scar. He needed it to be revealed, it needed to scream to the skies that the scar was there. Fallen thought no one was there. He pushed his thick, soft bangs away, pushing them to the side of his face. The scar was revealed, the black empty hole, with black skin growing over the hole. It was disgusting. Many thought it was cool, even handsome, but to Fallen, is was an ugly blemish that marking his humiliating past. He sighed, and lifted his head towards the sky, his other eye closed, as the wind blew through his bangs. He took his large left hand, with his index finger, he traced the shape of where an eye should be. He stroked the skin that was now over the endless black hole, the soft tissue felt cool under paw. He put his fedora over one ear, so it was hanging lightly and on the brink of falling. He reached his right hand into his bag, and started to finger his old violin wood, the fine old pieces felt comforting under his slender fingers.

"London bridge is falling on me, falling on me. London bridge is falling on me, My Fallen Lady...."/p>

He whispered softly to himself, his eye now slightly opened, and he sighed once more, before his ears perked, and he turned quickly.

There, was a female. His scar showing. His fedora fell of his ear with a soft sound as it hit the sandy snow. He stood there, paused, his hand in his bag, his other hand limp at his side. He stared for a moment, before he dart both hands on his face, over his eye. His claws scrapped the fragile skin that covered the deep hole, but all that mattered was to hide the blemish. He took two steps back, before tripping backwards over a rock. He fell on his back, as he braced for impact. It didn't hurt, but he felt one of his claws stab close to his eye. He rubbed his empty socket, still covering with both hands. He took one off, and felt around for his fedora, but he couldn't find it. He sat there, on the ground, and put one of his hands down onto the sandy snow, supporting his body from laying on the ground. He soon lifted himself from the ground, and stood up. He quickly adjusted his bangs to cover his empty socket, and brushed off the sand and snow that covered his body at the moment. He sighed, he must have seemed like a large fool now. He put his hand on his forehead, before looking around for a moment, as he saw his fedora about to be swept out into the sea.

"Oh! Oh Crap!!"

Fallen yelled as he ran out into the water, which went to his knees, and it was FREEZING. It felt like tiny needles where stabbing him everywhere. He grabbed the fedora before it went out to far, and he came running back to shore quickly. He breathed slightly heavy, as he wrung out the stiff, yet wet, fedora. He shook it off, and reached into the bag that he had thrown before going into the ocean, and out a spare shirt. He then remembered the girl. He turned his head, and blinked at her with his single teal eye. He was about to take of his shirt to put on a new one, and he was going to take of his pants to put on a new pair, but he wasn't going to if she was there. He heard her say a greeting, and he blinked again. He chuckled to himself, a rare thing, a faint jingle, a light wind chime sounding thing, yet, a slightly deeper tone.

"Uh... Hello?"

Yuki wasn't quite sure what to do other then watch the scene unfold. She studied the man, watching him enter the water then..- Run away from it? She cocked a brow, tilting her head. She walked towards him, giggling softly. "What was that?" She sat near him, letting her question hang in the air. She tugged down on her small, black night gown. A sigh slipped past her maw, causing a small puff of grey air to dance in front of her.

Her eyes scanned the seemingly boundless ocean. Even as she grew she still felt small beside the ocean.. As she expected everyone did. She hummed the tune she had heard the man singing earlier, wondering if he would recognize it. The sand was quite cold underneath her, but she ignored it; letting her mind take her to a warmer place. She laid her paw on the ground next to her, pressing down just enough for it to leave it's shape. She smiled down at it, then back at the man. "Gorgeous.. Isn't it? The ocean?"

Fallen light blushed under his reddish fur, and rung out the hat once more. Great, now it would have to be dried. He sighed to himself, and stuffed the hat into his bag. He put his large hands into his warm pockets, and soon nodded his head in a greeting. He then blushed again, but it was hard to see under the russet fur.

"Um.. Well... Uh... My hat ran away, and I had to go retrieve it.... but the water was cold....Yeah."

He said this, slightly awkward, due to the embarrassing moment he had just had. He fingered his bangs, which were almost to his jaw line. He needed them trimmed, and his hair behind him. It was now slightly below his ears. He looked lightly scruffy, some found it handsome, he found it gross. He would have to trim himself. He then escaped his thoughts as his eyes fell upon the mystery women. He watched as she tugged at a black dress, and she soon gave a sigh that let out a gray smoke that soon rose to the sky. He watched as it disappeared, and soon, her face was better revealed after the gray mist. He still couldn't see very well. He walked forward slightly, his head slightly tilted. He blinked his teal eye, she was fairly pretty, and she seemed to have a fairly good sense of humor.

He watched her for a moment more, wondering if this odd female was going to say anything else, but his eyes soon wandered, around the dead Halifax, to the endless blue of the salty water, to the sandy ground. He heard seagulls cawing, a loud, annoying sound that echoed against his ear. His eyes fell upon the sky, the endless blue making him dizzy. He blinked, just so his eyes wouldn't get slightly confused. He closed his eyes, and smelled in the deep sent, the fine saltiness filling his nostrils with a crisp feeling, before he let it out, causing a small gray patch, due to the heat of his breath. It was cold today, and he wrapped the coat around him more. Fallen's eyes then flicked to the mystery girl, and wondered if she was cold in the dress. He wasn't a mean hearted male, just.... slightly antisocial. He then heard a familiar tune come from her, and suddenly, slightly unconsciously, he sung

"London Bridge is Falling Down, Falling down, Falling down... London bridge is falling down... My Fair Lady."

He gave a slightly bow when he finished, which he also did unconsciously, but he quickly rose. That song always made him want to dance, it was cheery, yet, it was about the destruction of a bridge. Quite sad in reality, many people most likely died from the bridge falling. He chuckled to himself, after he bowed, and she soon spoke again. His eyes flicked towards the ocean, and he slightly turned. It was never ending blue, millions of life forms depending on it's salty depths. It was quite pretty, but even the prettiest things held the most dangerous predators. He nodded lightly, and, out of instinct, he stuck his large hand into his bag, and lifted out the blanket that he always carried along with him. He approached the girl, and calmly threw the blanket over her, and stood two bear lengths away, to give her space.

The girl giggled as his rusty coloured cheeks found a bit more of a pink tint. "Cute." She said, now tracing different shapes in to sand beside her. She shivered a bit, crossing her arms to help maintain some warmth. "It usually is this time of year.. But you seem pretty well prepared." Yuki motioned towards the clothes he was wearing, as well as the sack he carried.

He studied his surroundings as if he was uneasy, which was probably the case. The girl picked up on emotions easily, and sadly enough, usually felt them being pushed onto her. She looked down at the sand nervously as her anxiety rose, her question dancing around in the cool air. "Ah. And so you recognize it." She stopped her humming, watching as the male got back to his feet. She didn't bother to move. The ocean had a strange way of calming her back down.. The steady sound of the waves retreating from the crooked shore line filling her black ears. She jumped a bit as the blanket was tossed on to her, blocking some of the cool air from reaching her legs. Her eyes turned the male, studying his clothed body and face.

"Do you know any other songs?" Asked the female in an absent minded voice. He looked more confident when his words were flowing to a rhythm. "And less jittery, too." Once again the female could not detect any emotion from the voice; leaving her to wonder if it was insulting the man.

Fallen grew even redder, as she commented. He scratched the back of his head, fingering his mane. His teal eye wandered slightly. He watched as she drew in the sandy snow, as he soon scratched his cheek. Hm. Odd. He felt as if he could trust her. She seemed a bit different, but nice. He wondered if he could reveal his scar to her. Maybe. Maybe not. He sighed to himself, slightly unsure of her still. The sun was slightly out, bringing little warmth to the cold earth. He sighed. Already, he had been in Cercatori for around a month now, and instantly the snow comes down, and it's freezing cold. He reached his hand into his bag, and wrung out the hat once more, his eyes still slightly unsure. The hat was cold, and Fallen was a bit too, but it would eventually go away. He then heard her speak again, and he simply nodded, in a slightly daze. He soon came back to earth, and spoke,

"Well, it's Nova Scoatia, is it not? Although, I am used to having all my stuff, I used to live in a pretty cold place. I can't remember the name though... That's a bit sad, isn't it? I can't remember where I was born..."

Fallen talked, but he seemed to be somewhere else. HE was looking around the place, a slightly sad look in his only teal eye. He remember being from somewhere cold, where clothes came in handy, and he remembered Chain and Sila. He still couldn't remember his parents the best, they were both brown blurs. He sighed to himself, and tried to lighten up. He was kinda glad that he didn't remember his hippie parents. They didn't care when Sila left.

Fallen hummed small little tunes of nothing, his eyes slightly narrowed, as if closed. The tune soon went to London Bridge, the little tune that had lived with him forever. It was his Sister's Birth song, and it was quite a sad tune. He couldn't exactly remember his brother's tune. He soon stopped though, as his head turned towards her. He was still only two bear lengths away, and chuckled softly. He said nothing though. He smiled a small smile, as the calm beat of the waves slightly brushed at his toes. He gave another small smile as she slightly jumped when the green blanket landed onto her, and she looked at him. She seemed surprised, and he stuck out his tongue a bit, slightly childish. He watched her for a minute, as she looked at him calmly. He tilted his head slightly, before he heard words come from her lips. He blinked, and nodded.

"Any request, Miss? I know quite a few, in different languages too... such as Japanese, Russian, Chinese and... uh... what was it?.....Oh! Spanish!"

He could never remember Spanish for some odd reason. He blinked lightly, and gave a light smile. Fallen then got a question in his mind.

"Oh, yes... You never told me your name, might I know it?"

"Me neither," She smiled, glad to have some thing in common with the male. The girl laid back, causing particles of sand to stick to the tips of her fur. She fidgeted as her sensitive ears touched the sand, the warmth she was beginning to feel being drained. Her lids fell over her eyes during the silence, inviting her in to the dark. She knew better then to fall asleep this close to the ocean.. For all she knew it could be high tied.

She sat back up, blinking at him through glazed eyes. "Spanish, huh? I know a bit of that." Being a wanderer it was hard not to pick up some things here and there. She only knew a few of the base words, as well as the names for certain objects. "Hit me with what ever you've got; I don't know the names of any specific ones." In some ways she took in his childish behavior like a breath of fresh air. There was never time for her to be a child anymore. Some times she wished to just have to ability to do some thing outrageous. Yuki had reasons to act like more of an adult now.. With 'Valley and all. She sighed, her thoughts having got the voices going again. She pretended to be listening as the rambled on about all the cons of being 'tied down'- They had a strange way of knowing when she was attempting to block them out.

"Think." Wink. "Talk."

Fallen blinked at her, his eyes wondering, but he wouldn't press her. He wasn't the type. He sat down, still a bit away from her, as she laid down. He sighed, as he wrapped his arms around his knees. He found that position to be the second most comfortable, the first was his legs laying out, but then the waves would go all over him. His eye wandered to the salty water that seemed to go on forever, but the teal eye soon just went to the ground. The sandy ground. He felt around with his hand, and soon found what he was looking for. He dug out a smooth, flat rock, and he examined it carefully, before letting the water come up to his hand, in which he cleaned the rock off. He got up, and stood. He took the rock, and held his hand towards his wrist, and soon, with a simple flick of the wrist, he sent the rock skidding on the water. 1! 2! 3! 4! Plop! He watched as the rock went, and soon plopped straight into the water. Fallen sighed simply, as his slightly narrowed teal eye watched the beating ocean. Such a wonderful beat. Wonderful. He lowered himself back onto the ground, his arms lightly around his arms. He looked over to the girl, and scooted slightly closer. Was she... Asleep? Why? She was close to the ocean, didn't she think the water would go all over her, and then she would die? Wait... He was here. He could wake her up if it happened. He sighed, and laid slightly back.

Fallen was looking at the sky, comparing the light, slightly gray sky, to the smoky blue of the salty ocean. He soon heard a sound through, and his eyes drifted towards the girl. Her eyes slightly glazed, she spoke of Spanish. Fallen knew quite a few languages, but not all of it. He knew how to sing in different languages, when speaking in a conversation, he could get by. He listened to her, and he gave a small smile. Fallen chuckled, and he soon stood up. He clawed the ground under foot with his toes, and his eye soon closed slowly. He calmed himself, and blocked out every sound around him. He could only here the beat of the waves, the beat of his heart. He could hear imaginary things too. The sky moving at a slow pace, the clouds cheering with glee once they were able to move along with their mother, Sky. The ground singing when they felt the steps of people walking on them, the sand telling their stories of their old life. He breathed in air deeply, before he began to sing,

i heard there was a secret chord

that david played and it pleased the lord

but you don't really care for music, do you

well it goes like this the fourth, the fifth

the minor fall and the major lift

the baffled king composing hallelujah

hallelujah...

well your faith was strong but you needed proof

you saw her bathing on the roof

her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you

she tied you to her kitchen chair

she broke your throne and she cut your hair

and from your lips she drew the hallelujah

hallelujah...

baby i've been here before

i've seen this room and i've walked this floor

i used to live alone before i knew you

i've seen your flag on the marble arch

but love is not a victory march

it's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah

hallelujah...

well there was a time when you let me know

what's really going on below

but now you never show that to me do you

but remember when i moved in you

and the holy dove was moving too

and every breath we drew was hallelujah

well, maybe there's a god above

but all i've ever learned from love

was how to shoot somebody who outdrew you

it's not a cry that you hear at night

it's not somebody who's seen the light

it's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah

hallelujah...

Fallen finished the song, and it seemed to echo on the horizon, his voice loud and smooth. He loved this song. It was sad, very sad. But it calmed him. He loved the song, and he hoped it would show.

The girl listened quite intently as the male sung. It wasn't much of a dancing song.. Nor was it a happy one. But it was beautiful. The word 'hallelujah' did not seem to have any real meaning. It seemed like an exclamation, "Meaning some thing like praise?" She nodded ever so slightly, watching the man as she listened to the melody that was being sung.

She brushed back her hair, smiling at the boy. "You're talented." The voice that Fallen spoke in was smooth as silk.. Calming her and settling her soul. It made her a bit more tired, so she sat up straighter, rubbing her eyes then getting to her feet. She held the blanket, feeling over the soft comforter. "Do you have a pack to return to tonight?" She did not know who had ever given her the idea that members of a pack were forced to return to their pack lands before it got dark.. They were all adults, and as long as they were not murdering a fellow pack land they should be fine. But alas, those who were very commited to their pack may not want to leave it for very long, anyways. She turned towards the city, taking a few steps before motioning him to follow. Even if he did have to leave tonight it would probably be easiest for him to leave this way, anyways. She squeezed the necklace gently, holding it close before checking once again to ensure that he was following.

"Think." Wink. "Talk."

Fallen finished the sad song of the great love of a female, going sour and bitter with despair. Quite a sad song, actually. He felt the last word of the song on the tip of his tongue, the fine sound of the word always felt good from his mouth. He knew the word 'Hallelujah' had something to do with a man in the sky, and a religion that Fallen didn't understand, he didn't exactly want to understand. He didn't want to be scared for his life by a man he never knew. He took a deep breathe, as he felt a crisp, cold wind hit his face. It blew at his eye, and he closed the teal eye, and just lifted his muzzle to the sky. He felt the crisp wind on his eye and eye socket, the bangs blowing in the wind... wait. Bangs. Blowing? In the wind? Oh crap. He opened his eye, slightly alarmed, and felt for his brown bangs of soft hair. He gave a sigh of relief, as they went instantly back in to place, and the girl most likely didn't see a single part of the empty void. Maybe.

Fallen watched her for a moment, wondering if she liked the song as much as he did. He watched her face with his odd teal eye, curious and interested. She soon smiled, and simply said he was talented. He gave a smile, and replied simply,

"Thank you, Miss."

She seemed to be slightly tired, by the way she rubbed her eyes and soon sat up straighter. He cracked his neck slightly, he was a bit sore due to his last adventure through the forest when he tried to find Thornbury. He almost got stuck in a bush. A freakin' bush. He sighed to himself, and shook himself slightly of the light snow that was falling. Fallen's eye watched her as she talked, and he soon answered.

"Miss, I am from Cercatori D'Arte..... I am guessing you are from some pack of some sort?....."

Fallen wasn't chained to his pack, it was an easygoing place. He didn't own a home there yet in Thornbury, he had mostly camped around. Although, soon, Fallen wanted to own his own little shack in Thornbury, hopefully out of stone. He loved the feeling of stones in his hands. He was a bit deep in thought, and he jumped at bit as she began to walk. He rose, and stood up completely. He was a bit taller then the girl, a few inches, but not by much. She was a good height. She seemed pretty nice too. He just didn't know her name. She began to walk, and then signaled for him to follow. Fallen blinked, and walked up to her side with a few wide strides. He wondered where they were going, but he wouldn't press her. He simply offered his arm for her to hold.
