A secondary form of contact (AIM, MSN, Y!M): Some of you, a lot of you, have me already… But I’d rather not throw it around everywhere for all people to see (e.g. people who are just scanning webpages for email addresses to spam), so PM me if you want my MSN Smile
How did you learn/hear about 'Souls?: Been here before, same character, I blame Colibri in the first place Wink

Carefully watching her step, Mew’s white paws moved swiftly over charred ground, her wholly white form standing out to the desolate surroundings. Her breath was rapid, her heartbeat excited. What had happened? Everything was destroyed; the landscape was hardly recognisable. Having witnessed areas that had been aflame before, the female concluded that this had been no ordinary fire. There must have been something aside from just dry wood to have made such a large area catch flames. No matter how puzzling this was, Mew had other things on her mind. Faint traces of familiarish scents trailed here and there, all the time growing weaker. The others have fled, she thought. ... but where?. The scents drifted everywhere, overlapping each other multiple times, making it harder to single one out to follow. Although they seemed to run here and there, most of them concentrated and joined forces the closer to the shore in the west she came. Paws hit murky waters that had once been a clear, beautiful lake in her homelands, Clouded Tears. No matter the rush she was in to catch the scents before they disappeared in the midst of others, the smell of burnt flesh and ashes, the wolfess stopped for a moment, looking into the surface of the water. She had come here in hope to return to where she came from, to rejoin any possible living creatures that she had had, albeit briefly, contact with, and to finish off something she had only but started when she left, although the sight that met her was saddening. She could choose to follow the scents, and to perhaps find.. something. She didn’t know what. But with the Clouded Tears territory broken and the pack most likely shattered, her old den gone up in smoke along with the precious items she had stored there, why even bother? Multiple times she had contemplated turning around when heading for her homeland, and now the thought was at its strongest. Again, she reminded herself of the difficult future she was facing, how the nomad life had come to an end, must come to an end. Even if she should find that there were no survivors in the east, and that all the ones that she could say she had any kind of bond to were dead, she still had to search for them. She needed them, even though she found no affection towards them in her heart. Maybe a brief flimmer of warmth at the thought of her brother.. But he was no different from the lot of them, he had abandoned her aswell. She got up, nearly unwilling to let the unfamiliar leftovers of her homelands go, and regained her pace towards the west. Surely they can’t all have died..

Weak traces of scents grew increasingly stronger and stronger as the wolfess traversed areas less damaged by the fire, further west from her birthplace. It seemed as if, while she ran, the world had come alive around her. The utter absence of living things was gradually replaced first by birdlife, then increasing amounts of small critters and less burnt vegetation, until finally, she reached a forested area that seemed to have been saved from the wildfire altogether. The scents that were present were so strong here, that survivors had to be close by. There was no typical smell of the territory belonging to someone, simply a mixture of scents from all kinds of wolves, some recognizable as pack scents from older times, some entirely strange to her. Vaguely familiar scents everywhere, Mew singled out one and concluded that her mother was indeed alive. She had not expected that, somehow. She did not look forward to an eventual situation where the two females would meet, but she needed to deal with that thought later. She had travelled far, she was tired of several reasons, and it was time to get on with this project she had created for herself. Raising her muzzle to the sky she let out a melodic howl, calling to anyone close so they knew they had a new presence among them. Now, only to wait for someone to approach.
