He'd been complaining the entire way about her near-uncontrollable need to be clean. Inadvertently, it was a product of her environment, and age. To garner some sort of control of her yet-unmanageable life, she felt the need to control herself in any way possible. Personal hygiene was just one way to do so. Turning her orange gaze toward the darkening path that seemed to go on forever, Agony leaned away from her father, who was attempting to pick her up. Tired feet or not, she simply refused to be helped in any way. This was her walk to make, not his. Huffing lightly at him, she continued onward, plodding ahead with a fierce determination. She'd been told once by a now nameless, faceless individual, that she was an old soul, a reincarnation of someone wise; a leader. Somewhere along the line of her miserably short life it'd been taken to heart, and now she refused anyone telling her otherwise. Ravesque would be no different. Seeing sense wasn't an option.
Traveling from New Brunswick had taken far longer than she'd anticipated, yet she hadn't complained, not once. Leaving the cult that had killed her mother was important, to leave behind the destruction that she couldn't quite understand. Their reasoning was beyond her, she didn't have all the facts necessary to make an accurate assumption. She was apathetic. Further and further into the mountain they wound, following the scents that were gradually strengthening. Ultimately she was stopped by a tangible force, her father, and she obeyed. She felt it too, the need to wait. Where she couldn't, her father picked up, calling for a leader, someone to come speak to them. The dusty child waited eagerly for the following events to unfold, staring.

Let me know if the PPing of her touching Ravesque isn't ok! :3 I'll have her interact with both of them more in my following posts <33 And my apologies for the length!

Theodore seemed to be working out well as a leader. He was already helping her with the new pack laws and pack punishments that she'd had in mind for months, assisting her with taking her raw thoughts and turning them into clear and concrete statements. She'd formed Anathema alongside a different wolf, a female even darker than herself, but that wolf had come and left. Unreliable. Naniko was one to take such things in stride, though, and had plucked young Theodore from the ranks and placed him at her side to take the spot that Azalea had left.

Despite her desire to rule the pack alone, she had found that there was simply too much work and that the pack had grown too quickly in numbers for her to keep up with everything. Members often came to her with problems or needing favors from her, which took away from the time that she spent securing their borders and watching them. It was a leader's job to do both of those things, she felt, so she had chosen the young warrior to assist her with some of the duties so that she could do more. Maybe now she would have a little time to herself, as well.

The alabaster luperci walked upright, casting an even taller shadow. She was a large wolf, taller than almost any member of her pack, though she wasn't as bulky as some. She was unhindered by clothing for the most part, a simple weapons-belt cinched tightly around her waist. She kept her poison-tipped daggers on one side, her ceremonial dagger on the other. That was the one that she used for her blood-sharing ceremonies.

Her ears perked up at the howl, feet pausing then turning to take her in the direction from which the call had come. There was something startlingly familiar about the voice behind it, though she hadn't heard that tone for months now, and she hurried to reach the pair that stood at her borders. "Ra-Ravesque!" Was she really seeing him? She left no space between them, reaching to touch the male's arm. She wanted some reassurance that he was indeed real and that he was standing there before her.

She knew of the dark wolf's past, that he had once lived in the old lands as she had (the former lands of Bleeding Souls), that he had left before the fires had taken them. She had told him of the new lands that the wolves of Bleeding Souls had settled on, that she'd once had a pack and a life of her own there...but she hadn't expected him to come and find her. He had someone with him, as well, she now realized; the female backed up a few paces to stare at the child. "Who's kid is this?" She asked, jade eyes narrowing slightly.

You're fine! <3 This is an awkward post.

The wait was minimal, though it didn't really matter. Time was something she had in abundance, and she'd already figured out that patience was a virtue. Something to that effect anyway. Eying the large, lightly colored woman with apprehension as she approached, Agony wasn't quite sure what to make of her overall appearance. She looked almost feral, with those daggers at her side, but the warmth with which she received her father was helpful. Their hug lasted long enough to denote friendship, maybe something more. She couldn't tell. Either way, this woman probably wasn't a threat. She licked her charcoal lips nervously. Dealing with adults was easy so long as you were polite and didn't speak out of turn, but there was always a certain element of unknowing. Not knowing the absolute perfect thing to say, what they wanted to hear. Someday she would know all the right answers by heart, and use them. Her father was posed a question, of who's child she was.

In a moment of role-reversal, she nudged the man lightly with her nose, urging him to answer with honesty and haste. "Mine," Came the eventual answer, to which the dust colored child might have beamed if she had it in her. At times like this she almost felt like a sociopath, though she lacked the homicidal rage and capability to bring harm. Most children were excited to be acknowledged, to be claimed, right? Turning her eyes between the two for a moment, she wondered if the man would introduce her or not. It seemed unlikely, since she was always doing it for herself anyway. "I'm Agony," Had she known it was a word, she could have laughed. Not at the potential meaning, but because it almost fit. If she hadn't been so reluctant to feel that particular emotion. Agony; she didn't want it, couldn't stand it.

For now, Agony felt no need to tack on a surname. If her father knew this woman as well as he seemed to, she would know their last name, and that she would share it with him. "She has two siblings by Cinder; she was executed," Turning a blind eye to the following conversation, the apologies and condolences she expected to hear, the child realized she was tired of hearing the same thing over and over again. Moving on was impossible when everyone continued to apologize for things they had no control over. Abruptly, she felt the need to stress that point. "Don't say you're sorry," She eyed her father with anger; she hoped he didn't say anything to contradict her.

It's rather difficult rping with an npc! Sorries <33

The girl gained the focus of her attention momentarily as she spoke her name, jade eyes flicking from the pup back up to the male. Ravesque had admitted that the child was his, something that she understood. Naniko had left the pack, and he had every right to do what he wanted while she was gone. Even when she was there they had not been exclusive, freely giving and receiving without worrying about putting labels on it or forcing commitment. She didn't like the idea of him being with someone else, but she would try and deal with those feelings later, when the two were alone.

"Your son Scorpius is safe and well here within Anathema; I've started my own pack here with my sister Selene and her children. You might remember them. You said that there were more than just this one?" She was interested in knowing where the rest of them had gone off to. They were little, far too young to fend for themselves, at two months of age...had they remained behind? That didn't make much sense, not if the mother had been killed...unless there was another relative back in New Brunswick.

Ravesque went on to explain that the pups' mother had been executed. Naniko nearly cringed; when she had been living in that pack, the tribunal had been the governing body of power. They had been poisoned while she and Selene had been there and the two sisters had fled due to suspicions of them being the ones to have done the job. Naniko worked with poisons, and she had been one of the first suspects. The rest of the pack was unforgiving.

Her eyes snapped back to the whelp when she opened her mouth once more. "Why be sorry for you, girl? You've lost your mother. But your father stands here next to you, still there to protect you and put food into that little belly of yours. She kept her tone hard. No pup would tell her what she should and shouldn't say; children were to be seen and not heard. She had trained her son well when it came to his manners and attitude, something that Agony was lacking. "When I was a pup my parents abandoned me. You should feel lucky to have your father; he obviously knows what's best for you if he's brought you here."

She glanced over her shoulder, then back to the two. "Well let's not stand here shivering; a storm passed through here recently, leaving a lot of snow behind. We've dealt with one major avalanche and a few smaller ones. The mountain tops aren't safe." She would lead them to the back exit into the cave system, the closest way into the place. "Are you seeking a permanent place to live? Follow me." She asked them both, turning to begin the short journey toward the tunnel.

Aww, feel free to do whatever you need to!

This woman was strange, admirable in a way, but strange nonetheless. Ravesque seemed to like her though, which meant, like everything else, she would be met with apathy instead of something darker. If she'd known about wicked step-mother's from fairy-tale's, she would have considered this one a member of their little team, but she didn't. Should that day arrive where she knew oft their existence, it would probably be too late, because it wouldn't matter. Scorpius was spoken of, a name she knew, but someone she couldn't say she'd actually met. Perhaps a while ago, when she was still deaf and blind to anything and everything. "I'm glad he's doing well," Came her father's response, and a flicker of resentment blossomed within Agony's bright orange eyes. He'd brought her with him, not one of the others, which (she thought) meant he preferred her. Obviously she was wrong. "You're a leader, a good one," Ravesque continued on, filling the lapses in conversation with his own. "And yes, I have a son and another daughter that should be arriving eventually,"

Inwardly grimacing at the tone this woman took with her, Agony fought to bite her tongue (literally and metaphorically) so as so keep from adding blemishes to today's initial meeting. Instead she nodded, though she severely disagreed. Maybe Naniko wouldn't feel sorry for her, but everyone else seemed to be. It was... Sad. Wolves she'd never met could feel things for her that she couldn't feel for someone she'd known her entire life, that shared her blood. It seemed redundant to apologize to the large, snow colored woman, but as she was going to, her father nudged her gently. No, now wasn't the time.

Speaking of snow, it seemed as if there had been some recent problems with the cold element. Thinking about being crushed in her sleep, crushed by dark and cold, seemed familiar. She liked it here, in the mountain. Thankfully her father agreed, because at Naniko's query as to whether they were seeking permanent shelter, he answered simply, "Yes, we are," And lifted his daughter to carry her with him after Anathema's leader.

No worries, I meant from your side <3333 Thanks for bringing Ravesque in as well for me <3333

She would have to alert Theodore about the new arrivals, that there might be more pups coming to their border in the near future. Perhaps they had been left with another caretaker; she could imagine that it would have been difficult for him to travel and hunt with three puppies hindering him. She'd come to Anathema with Scorpius when he had been the same age as this gray-scale girl. "Alright. At least there will be a few other pups in the pack for her to play with for now, if she wishes." Itachi was another younger member of the pack, though he wasn't one to play much, if at all. He had come from Inferni, where such things weren't encouraged in the youth, apparently.

Naniko walked with certainty though the snow, her feet making tracks for Ravesque and Agony to follow in. She reached the escape tunnel and kicked at the mountainside for a little bit, getting the snow to clear away a bit from the entrance. She then dug with her hands, clearing enough room for her large form and for the other two to be able to get through. "You're both welcomed to stay here as long as you want. You're family." She said simply as she dug. "I usually make joiners go through a blood sharing ceremony with me, to become one of the pack in blood...but both of you are relatives of my son, so that makes such a ceremony unnecessary. You're already blood. So...welcome to the pack."

The tunnels were dimly lit, the brightness from the outside world lighting them partially. Once that light ran out it was replaced by the flickering light of torches and smaller fires to the side of their winding path. She'd made sure to keep them out of their main walking path, a few alongside their path and some lights in bowls that hung from the ceiling off to the side. "We live in the underground tunnels...kept lit by firelight. I have a few spare rooms for smaller families, if you guys think you'd be suited for one of those. The other individual dens might be too small for a wolf and a growing pup."
