OOC: This happens some days later after all the snowstorm plot. Maybe February 11 or 12.

WC: 600+

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A light breeze slowly ran through the winter environment, calmly swaying the trees that would still stand and the few grass that wasn’t already covered up in a thick layer of old snow. Even with the storm now long gone there was still the aftermath, yet it could in no way be as harmful as the snowstorm the territory had gone through some days ago.

A lone leafless tree slowly dancing with the cold wind, its trunk slightly bended not only by the same element but because of the grey from that was leaning against it. He had waited on that tree for quite some time, unsure on where to go as he was currently lost. His right hand was protected by the other, moving as carefully as possible to avoid the broken limb to hurting him further.

Falgar had hoped to find someone by now but there was only himself, lost in a now irreconcilable place as it had been assaulted by the fierce winds. He had been wandering for quite some time but then he had found it useless, the only thing he was getting with it was to get lost further. Once loud voice was already lost at the constant shouts and howls he had given to the sky and wind, now it was only a raspy and ghostly reflection of his old voice.
Resting against the strong tree seemed as his only option right now, being on what seemed to be on the only standing tree on the area seemed as the easiest way to be found, but what if he had already gone out of the territories bounds? He only hoped not.

A nasty mood had been assaulting him for quite some time now, being more noticeable on his deep frown and the constant angry mumbling that came from him. It was rather common to see he like this after spending a prolonged amount of time on his Optime form, but he was currently stuck on it. He was practically useless in either of his four-legged forms, his broken hand made sure of that. Life what such a funny thing, getting him stuck like this.
On top of everything he had left all his stuff back on the abandoned house he had been using as refuge, must likely gone and in pieces by now. If only he had taken his stuff with him as he should had he would at least have something to survive with, his medical supplies and some provisions had been left in it.

As the pain on his throat started to ebb away he gave another try at howling, a raspy and low groan being the only thing that came out. And so he was trapped in the middle of who knows where and injured, his splinter injuries were slowly reopening with each single movement while letting a small trickle of blood coming out of it. The splinters he had been able to remove before the pain overwhelmed him laid carelessly discarded on his feet, a rather senseless action as he could stab his own feet with the wooden little demons.

For what seemed to be the thousand time on the day he lifted his head to the sky, letting his nose to search for any scent that was not of his own blood or of the fallen wood and snow. If there was something on the area he could not find it, sense of smell numbed by the cold a long time ago. The only thing he had left was to wait, doing everything possible to not let his fatigue overcome him and get him into a sleep he may not awaken.

Perhaps he had been better off on his own after all. The idea had crossed the black wolfs troubled mind more then once in the days following the storm that seemed to have destroyed a large portion of the territory. " Not to mention a good portion of the pack." he said out loud, a touch of bitterness in his voice. The golden eyes narrowed as they scanned the broken and splintered trees that littered the land, having collapsed under a mix of snow and wind. The large paws of his Secui form avoiding the sharpened tips of both wood and ice as he navigated through the forest. With nothing but the occasional sound of a song bird and the bursts of wind that somehow had managed to penetrate the wall of trees that remained was helping to calm him. He had needed to get away for a little while. Away from injured friends and the added responsibility of caring for them. Ookami and Adonia had each other to lean on, but he wasn't so sure about the wolfess Jace. Perhaps he would see how she was doing. . .

A large sigh escaped from his muzzle, causing the frosty air from his breath to rise up around him as he looked to the ground. His eyes closing as if that would be all it took to stop the realization he was coming to. Even out here in this frozen wasteland, as far as he had traveled to get away from things he knew there was no escaping it. He was starting to care about the wolves here in the Valley on a level deeper then just a need to survive. "Gah!" he growled, jerking his head to the side as if some invisible force had struck him across the muzzle. His gaze shifted off to the side in his frustration with himself, trying to look away from something that wasn't even there. That is when his eyes focused on something unexpected, something unusual. The small red stain painted the leaf in an all the familiar color; blood. The black wolf narrowed his eyes as he leaned closer to the dried speck that was clinging to the foliage. It had been there for awhile, that much he could tell.

Kami could see them now, the foot prints that were already half buried in snow. The size and shape, while almost unreadable by now were fairly clear to the experienced hunter. They were the prints of a Luperci and one that he thought he recognized, by smell at least. The tracks were running perpendicular to the direction that Kami had been traveling, but his curiosity was peaked. He had come this far into the Valley because he thought it was not usually traveled by many of the other members. " Someones just out hunting. . ." he thought, remembering the dried blood. It definitely made sense, there were plenty of wolves that were to injured to hunt for themselves now. Branching out to other parts of the Valley to find prey wasn't really a bad idea, but he couldn't help wondering. His decision made, Kami took off in the direction the Luperci had traveled. The glimpses of a splash of red on white occasionally catching his eye as traveled, becoming more and more concerned as the prints became increasingly staggered. The power of his Secui form carrying him more quickly now as the concern about what he might find on the other end of these tracks grew.

The soft shape leaning against the solitary tree went unnoticed by the dark wolf at first. It was the smell that caught his attention as the wind changed and carried the scent to him. This time he did recognize it distinct scent of Falgar. The two wolves had really only met once before, and it had been a brief one at that. As Kami approached the tree, his head low and his eyes focused on nothing but the nearly motionless body of the younger wolf. Silently, Kami circled around the tree to be directly in front of his pack mate. The frigid breeze cutting through this clearing like a sharp knife that was cutting nearly straight to the bone. It certainly was not a comfortable place to be for Kami, and clearly not for Falgar either. The boy looked to be exhausted, in pain, and with an expression that was not unlike Kamis. The cheerful and outgoing wolf that he had met on the borders so many weeks ago seemed to have been replaced with someone else out here in this barren field.

" What in the hell are you doing out here like this?" he asked gruffly, eying the wrist that the other wolf seemed to be shielding from the elements. Kami was sure a more friendly and empathetic voice would have been welcomed by Falgar. Judging by the shape he was in though, there wouldn't be much complaint.

OOC: Yay wacky ending. I tired to keep the same length as your post but my muse decided to stop around 600 words D=

WC: 600+

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Each passing hour seemed to take an eternity to him, the monotonous and barren plain around him almost burning his eyes as it provided no way for his mind to wander off and forget the constantly nagging pain that he could feel on almost all his body. For a while he had tried to convince himself to get the bones of his broken hand back into position, yet a small part of his mind was holding him back, mostly in fear of the pain it would surely cause. But the fear of losing the limb was slowly overcoming the first.

Slowly the injured hand was revealed from its improvised refuge, its protector slowly moving it forward to allow his sight to study it completely. A sudden shout sprouted from his clenched jaws, being numbed down by the same fact. Each and every single movement created but another sharp thorn of intense pain, clouding his blurry sight for a few moments. And yet with the entire struggle and the forceful tugs at his hand to get it into his line of sight he finally did it as it rested extended right in front of him, almost as if it were asking him “Great! What now?” but right now not even he knew. The hand was slightly twisted and the fingers were slightly curved towards the palm, he could even see one of the small bones sticking out of place.

Both his hands were now a bloody mess, the source of the blood was pretty much unknown as it was practically sprouting from him in almost random places. Almost as if it were a macabre canvass the snow was slowly being painted the same dark red of his blood, following abstract pattern, circles and spots being the main ones.

All this time he just stood there frozen on the same position, just standing there against the weak tree with a single hand extended towards the fading horizon, almost as if asking it for something it knew it wouldn’t get. In his trance he didn’t quite see Kami’s approach, his view and attention focused on the tattered hand. It was not until words were pronounced by the ebony male that his mind decided to reawaken, his eyes darting towards his direction.

Falgar blinked a few times as he stared at the dark wolf, his mind not quite being able to think clearly at the moment. His heavy skull gave a quick shake yet the emptiness on his uneven eyes still remained, but his mind had finally finished comprehending what was happening

“Oh hello there… Kami right? I am just…lost. I really don’t know how I finished up here”

his words were hollow, the usual cheery and sing song tone his voice would carry was gone, lost on the void the pain and the fear had created. Darkened eyes focused on the other male’s gold ones, almost as if his own sight was desperately searching for a decent grip on reality to avoid his mind to fleet away once again, to feel that all this chain of events was not a sour nightmare that had a grip on him.

The extended hand called for his attention once again as another wave of pain invaded his brain, wracking all his body back on the process. He used all his strength to pull a weak smile on his blood matted face

“Sir..would you mind helping me? I need to get the bones in my hand as they should be but I need you to hold me in position so I don’t mess it up in a jolt of pain”.

Falgar knew his plea of help may sound a bit pathetic to the other wolf as even in his current situation he was still asking for it instead of like demanding it or simply barking orders, but all the pain on the world would not make him lose all that he fought for these past years of his life, the person he had fought to become and that he would not give up.

Kami felt no need to answer the grey wolf as his name was uttered from the quiet lips. A slight nod was all he returned to Falgar, while the golden eyes studied the injured wolf as if he was something confusing. The snow at the base of the tree had been stained a deep red with the warm blood of his packmate, the air rising like a steam around the liquid as it sunk into the white powder. The hand was broken, there was no doubt about that. The ivory white of bone was not to difficult to spot as it protruded through the flesh, contrasting clearly against the darkened fur.

With the wind still pushing itself around him, the cold air was beginning to make even the unshakable Kami want to leave this forsaken place. Judging by the hollow and empty voice that was making its way from the normally cheerful muzzle of Falgar he was sure the wolf needed a reprieve from the elements as well. The vacant and almost distant expression that he was receiving from the younger wolf was worrisome. Even as the request met the black wolfs perked ear, he still said nothing. Instead the wolf began to circle Falger as though he was prey, slowly and with an unwavering gaze that never left their target. His eyes searching the blood matted body of his packmate, looking for any other signs of injury.

" No." he stated bluntly as he completed his circle and once again found himself facing the only soul within miles. " I don't think you could open a bottle of whiskey let alone reset a bone in the shape your in. Your just going to make things worse for both of us, so no." he waited for only a moment before turning his back to Falgar. Doing nothing to hide the marking on his tail as he looked over his shoulder, his voice was a bit condescending " If you can show me that you can walk, then I'll think about it.. . .I don't want to have to carry you." With that Kami took a step forward, baiting Falgar. Honestly the black wolf would have liked to of been more empathetic and comforting, but he wanted his injured pack mate to focus.

Anger could be as much a motivator as anything, and getting the blood pumping through the veins of the near frozen wolf through either emotion of just motion was good enough for Kami at the moment. So he waited patiently, pointed in the direction of sanctuary as he hoped Falgar would be able to forgive him when this was all over.

OOC: Meh at the end I decided to knock Falgar out. It seemed weird if he had been able to continue walking after continuously loosing blood. It seem poor Kami will have to carry him D=

WC: 600+

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What he had feared for quite some time was finally happening, his brain was slowly loosing grip of his conscience with each passing minute, and the constant loose of blood being must likely the cause. For a short while he fought against fleeting away sensation, trying to focus on Kami’s movements as he circled him. A short lapse of desperation overcame him as he could no longer see the other wolf for a short amount of time; his head was wildly wiped around until he could finally see a black blur on his unfocused sight, finally getting back to normal at the same time as the pace of his heart slowed down.

“Maybe you are right, but if I don’t do it now…”

his own mind stopped him, making him think how foolish he was acting right now. He was injured, weak and half frozen, adding pain to the mix wouldn’t be much help on the current situation. Falgar rested his bloody maw on his chest, looking towards the tainted snow beneath him in defeat.

“Yes, yes you are right”

he wasn’t really noticing it but the broken record like repeats where the only things that his mind was allowed to occupy itself with, the rest of it was too busy not only fighting against the constant ache of his injuries but the constant waves of fatigue that where slowly coming down in him, making it harder to concentrate. Kami’s current attitude would have most likely caused a small frown upon the grey wolf’s expression, but currently he was unable to do so as he was even finding it hard to process emotions, a desperate sense of survival overcoming pretty much every function he had, but the call could not be answered by his ever growing weakness

“Walk? Yes I can do that”

he shakily moved apart from the broken tree, taking whole minutes to find stability on his now frozen legs. When he finally stood up he took his first step forward after being on the same position on what seemed to be hours. Without even having to take another step his face contorted in pure agony, his feet were in no way injured but the amount of time they had been still had practically turned them into stones, making it extremely hard to move without straining the muscles that had been pasted into position. With a soft groan he swallowed the pain and took another step and after that another one, with each one he took the torture they caused slowly began to dwindle.

Without taking a stop he focused his attention on the direction that Kami was pointing to, slowly moving forwards in slow and labored steps. Wherever Kami was taking him it to it had to be fast as he was unsure of how much he could keep himself awake, each single step took a bit of his consciousness away, the once clear as day sight turning cloudier and cloudier until he could only see a thin line of what was in front of him.

And with that he fell down, his mind not gone yet but his body no longer had the will to move and nothing to keep the flame of survival alive. He tried a few times to stand up, not wanting to look weak or frail on the eyes of his fellow pack mate but he was unable to lift himself up without the help of the broken hand, this making him fall on it a couple of times while he pushed the shout back by biting hard on his tongue.

“I am sorry Kami, I am…unable to…go on...”

with those final words he finally gave in to his fatigue. In almost an instant his brain shut off almost everything to keep the grey wolf alive, only motions that came from him where the shallow breathing and sometimes a sudden shake not only from the cold but for the torture he was bringing upon himself by falling on his now twisted up hand.

OCC: Finally back! Should be able to reply often now Tongue Sorry again.

He tried, but the distance between them had been to great. Kami couldn't help but cringe as Falgars hand was twisted backwards in a unnatural direction. The sickening sound of flesh and blood impacting his ears like nails on a chalk board, a pain that could not be easily described. Blood and injury was something Kami had gotten used to over the past year, but seeing it in others was more unsettling then he would have thought. " Damnit. . ." he muttered under his breath as he hovered over top of the grey wolves unconscious body. It was his fault for pushing the kid, for being such a hard ass and underestimating the injuries. The feeling of guilt weighed as heavily on him as his own ebony fur and the feeling was not something he particularity enjoyed.

As Kami looked to the horizon, the setting sun reflecting in his eyes with the brilliant coloration that were brought on by the end of another day. The twilight hours could bring about the last of Falgar's days if he wasn't taken out of this frozen hell hole and Kami knew it. With every minute of vanishing daylight the temperature would drop, and that would most likely be fatal to someone who could not even gather the energy to walk. The options raced through Kami's mind as he looked down at the unconscious form that was all but indistinguishable from a corpse by this point. As he lowered his large head in frustration the image of his Optime form begain to come into focus. The change of the black furred Luperci started off slowly, but within minutes he was standing tall on two legs, though a bit off balance. The form Kami had taken was not one seen by many; ever. There was only one time he had used it and the consequences for that decision was not something he could ever run away from.

Neither could he from this situation, his moral's would not allow it let him to abandon the pack mate. " Kids." he said out loud in a tone that almost sounded amused despite the seriousness at hand. He may have underestimated the injuries, but he doubted he underestimated the wolf. Falgar was stronger then that. Carefully he reached down and rolled Falgar onto his back, the blood matted snow was quickly brushed out of the gray fur. Placing the broken and bleeding hand onto the slowly rising chest of its owner. With the hand as stable as it would get Kami leaned down and dipped the back of his newly formed hands into the frozen tundra, the tips of his fingers wrapping against the slightly frozen flesh of his pack mate. Lifting the gray wolf into the air with greater ease then he would have though Kami set his gaze to the darkening forest. The walk in front of him would not be an easy one, but that was alright. Kami was used to difficult, and with his destination in mind he began to walk. The golden eyes stared towards the ground before him as if they had been carved into stone.

OOC: Sorry fo the super lateness D=. And also for this super rushed post.

WC: 600+

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After his mind had gone black nothing made sense. From time to time his consciousness would randomly wake up in short amounts of time, this adding to the confusing that was finding its way through his entire mind, making it virtually impossible to form a coherent though without feeling his mind about to explode.

When he could he would open his eyes, a blurry sight taking glimpses of what was happening around him, seeing only colors and not forms. He could barely feel when Kami lifted him up, the pain that his whole body brought all the time, the sight of the setting sun upon the whitened and cold horizon. To him right now it was nothing but an entangled chain of sensations, images and thoughts. With each passing second it only got more and more complicated, making something out of it seemingly impossible as his mind was currently plagued with the almost primitive calls of survival.

On one of his brief time of awareness he didn’t knew where he was or what was happening, his mind erasing everything he had knew at the moment. Feeling on someone grasps he tried to wiggle himself free, being unsuccessful as his near frozen body had barely enough strength to keep him alive. His mouth parted in a try to form words but only a weak groan came out, yet to him it sounded like the words that where currently playing on his head. When he received no answer he moved his head around on a desperate try to see who it was. With a sharp pain on his chest he finally went into position that he could see, finding a dark furred canine face right in front of him. Upon some seconds of inspection the image finally clicked on his head. It was until now that his body relaxed, a terrible headache running through his head as the recent memories came rushing in.

Falgar cleared his throat a couple of times before he could finally muster comprehensible words

“I am sorry to be a burden to you Kami…”

he shook his head a bit at the sound of his own voice, raspy and faded

“But…thank you”

his last words came almost as a whisper, his throat too sore to allow him speaking without him getting a bolt of pain back.

He tried to keep awake as much time as his body would let him, sometimes even trying to lift some of his weight by lifting his torso, yet he could only lift up a few inches before coming back down, this must likely creating some negative reaction on Kami’s balance, yet Falgar didn’t want to be so useless, such a burden in the current situation.

After a while of seeing the sky crisscrossed by the empty arms of the still standing trees he zoned out, randomly recalling one of his distant memories. Her blinked several times to keep himself on the reality, this was not time to think about this but against his will he got lost in it. On his little word he heard his mother, lulling him to sleep forever on her embrace. As he became more convinced of this being his real mother he began to lose the fight against death’s cold grip, this being noticeable at his slowing down heart and breathing. And then something woke him up from the trance, a small trickle of blood coming out of his slightly opened maw. Somehow a part of his mind had eluded death’s call, same part that had made his teeth come down on his tongue, his almost inexistent breath coming back in a sharp intake.

OOC: Short post is short, but I wanted to get some help before ya died on me >.> Or eat your tongue lol

It was rather ironic really. Here he was once again with the life of another pack mate literally in the palm of his hand. He was not comfortable with the idea that he could be the reason for a friends death. It had been the very reason that the scarred wolf had set off on the intentionally solitary trip, so that he could get away from the pain and suffering that seemed to permeate the land these past few days. Yet with the limp body of the young wolf bouncing lightly in his arms and the life sustaining blood now beginning to seep onto his own dark fur there was little time for self pity. The golden eyes stared straight forward with all attention focused on the forest in front of him. He did not want to look at the broken body that he was carrying, it would not do him any good. The faintest pulse could still be felt just underneath the thick fur as it was being pushed through the nearly frozen veins.

" Shut up and put that energy into staying alive." he commanded with very little empathy. Falgar had been causing his rescuer a bit of trouble since regaining consciousness. Beyond what Kami could only assume was the attempted and futile escape from his arms there was the occasional shift in weight which had caused the black wolf to stumble and almost loose his grip on more then one occasion. The softest of growls would emanate from deep within his throat in each one of these instances, but he carried on as fast as he safely could. His eyes scanning the landscape as they traveled, searching for anyone or anything that could be of some sort of help. With every step the pair was brought closer to lands more frequently traveled by other members of the pack, and if his instincts guided him correctly someone in particular who would be able to help the injured comrade.

Jace was actually not that far from the pair of Valleyians making their way towards her. She was investigating the ruins of a destroyed cabin and had been fortunate to come across an old human dress, she pulled the dress to her body, it was a lovely blue color and though Jace would never consent to wearing human clothes as she felt it an insult to her person she could not help but admire the beautiful design upon the woven cloth. Jace often called these slightly insane moments as her female moments, where she would act as most would expect a female to react when presented with nice things or in a situation when a generally female reaction was expected.

But all too soon her rational mind came back and she began tearing the pretty dress up into strips, they could be useful for bandages and splints, fate had an odd way of working, providing her with the tools to be able to help Falgar with his hand and wounds. And it was fate that made her look up from her tearing and see the two black wolves in the distance, at first she did not register their figures but a second later she did a double take and realized the ramifications of what she had seen. Kami carrying Falgar through the snow covered land, the latter who was slowly dripping blood onto the white ground,

"Fucking shit." She felt the words were appropriate for the situation and quickly dropped the strips of dress she had been tearing, she charged through the house, leaping over the banister of the upstairs and landing with bended knees on the ground floor, growling as it made her leg ache sharply. The door was thrown open and Jace came running full pelt out of it, the wolfess managing to reach a fast speed very quickly due to her almost extreme underweight body, the snow made her grip precarious and several times she almost slipped over but the fur growing out from between her pawpads as was the gift to the arctic wolves helped to steady her. Her blood ran cold as Falgar appeared for all manner and purpose to be dead in the arms of her gruff and emotion-phobic friend but then she heard the injured male take a deep breath and the dread circulating her brain eased, if only fractionally

She stumbled to a stop next to him, her leg now burning and grabbed onto Falgar's feet that dangled liflessly, accidentally shoving Kami to hold Falgar's body further up, sharing the weight of his body would get them to their destination faster. They had been through this together before, she and Kami not a few days before with Ookami. Shelter was the main thing,

"Head towards that cabin." Was all she said, nodding her head towards the two story house she had just vacated. She could carry this male herself but to do so could prove more harmful to Falgar than simply getting him out of the cold quickly.

Each passing moment was nothing more than a torture for the grey male, he knew that in some way he was being nothing more than a burden to Kami, considering the way the dark furred male had been treating him. He knew the wolf was not the most sensible of the area and initially he took that fact in consideration but as broken as his mind was at the moment he was starting to think that his increasingly annoyed attitude was due to considering him a burden. Falgar knew that this was not the time to have such kind of negative thoughts but using his mind correctly had been getting more difficult by the moment, nothing on his mid was making actual sense.

Consciousness was not something he could have a firm grip on as it came and went on random intervals beyond his direct control. And when waking up from the longest he had had after a while he felt his weight move around, no longer resting on the arms of Kami but as well on the ones of someone he couldn’t quite see. He was definitely relieved that his feet where no longer dangling, the momentum they had been creating where having a negative reaction on the overall pain that now covered his whole body.

As he was carried to the cabin he used a bit of his remaining strength to raise his head from its resting places, the being that was in front of him unknown to him until he furiously blinked a couple of times. It was Jace, the female hybrid that had been one of his multiple worries as he wandered alone and injured. A pang of guilt stabbed him on his stomach as he saw her tattered up ear, when he broke his hand while realizing Jace he had been unable to heal her injuries as not only the pain had been unbearable but also he had lost his pouch on his refuge.

Suddenly the cloudy and grey sky turned a different color, no longer did the clouds adorn it but now what seemed to be wood was currently covering it up. Had he been moved inside a building? It was likely but he couldn’t quite tell at the moment.

“Jace...I”

that was the only thing he could muster as both canines carried him on the building, his throat had once again became soar and made it impossible to speak up what his mind was practically demanding him to say.

And the inviting grip of unconsciousness was slowly taking grip of him once more but he would not have anything of it right now, he wanted to keep himself awake so he could at least try to heal up his own wounds. A hand was raised to call for the female’s attention, but in his haze he lifted the one that had been resting broken up on his now bloodstained chest, this only gained him a heavy wave of pain throughout all his being and from one came another and like that until he could no longer take it. All that time he had held up the pained shout that had been stuck on his throat by once more getting a hold of his own tongue with his teeth, on the last wave of agony he finally left it out as the strength to hold it back had already ran out, letting out to the roof a single shout heavy with all the held in pain and agony on him. Slowly the volume faded until it was gone, taking his mind along him for a while.

The slowly growing silhouette of the wooden human dwelling was certainly a welcome sight. Even though the wolf in his arms was light in comparison to the much larger Ookami, the muscles in the black wolves arms had been burning for some time now. " Couldn't have gotten yourself lost a little closer to home could you?" he spoke casually with only the slightest hint of strain in his voice. His eyes straining the keep focused on the goal that was now in within reach. The journey from where the two had met underneath the solitary tree had been a fairly grueling experience. Kami rarely had ever walked on two legs, and though the balance came to him a bit naturally it still was not nearly as graceful as walking in his lupus form. He knew he shouldn't be angry with the kid, but with his strength draining with every step anger was a feeling that was creeping into the back of his skull. They were close now though and as Kami's pink tongue darted between parched lips the scent of another reached him.

As he saw the wolfess emerge from the doorway he couldn't help but let out the smallest of laughs. The girl seemed to have a knack for being in the right place at the right time, but he wasn't about to complain. Feeling no need to explain as she rushed towards the pair, it was pretty obvious by her reaction she already understood the seriousness at hand. Acknowledging her words with only the slightest of nods as he never slowed down, even after she grabbed the dangling legs of the gray male. As he stepped over the rotten threshold of the abandoned dwelling the last of his strength was evaporating. Golden eyes scanned the mostly empty room searching for anything suitable for the broken body of Falgar. The eyes found nothing in time though as the ebony furred wolf dropped to one knee, solid bone impacted with the unforgiving floor as Falgar was unceremoniously set down. The dull thud of the blood matted fur echoed throughout the room as Kami sat over top of the body, his arms dangling limp at his sides.

His task completed for now, Kami was content to rest. The warmth from his breath turning to a small fog as it impacted the cold room. The burning in his lungs was easy to ignore compared to the pain shooting through his arms and legs. Only the golden eyes moved as he watched Jace glide around him. He wasn't sure how much help she would be able to give to Falgar, but he was sure it had to be better then he could provide. Though now as he sat there on the floor, the exertion of energy finally giving way to the stillness in not only his own body but the air around them. It was cold.

She huffed as they finally hauled the large black male into the two story house she had so recently left. She chuckled as she saw the huge crack and dent in the wooden floor that her feet had left upon her landing from the top floor. She couldn't help but find amusement in the irony of the situation, only days ago it had been her dragging an injured friend through the snowy lands only to be assisted by the black wolf with the red X scar and now their situation had been reversed and she was the helper instead of the dragger.

She shut the door behind them, closing out the wind and cold. Her leg ached although it was tapering off now. She surveyed the scene before her, both boys appeared to be injured/exhausted and she couldn't help the swell of motherly instinct that rose within her chest. Both of them were far from pups and were most likely older than she was but she was the only one with the energy and strength to do anything at the moment. Her attention was called to Falgar as he said her name. She moved to his side swiftly and kneeled besides her friend shushing him gently with a soothing tone,

"Shhhh, save your strength." She winced as he raised the hand that stunk of blood and bone from his chest and her ears flicked back at his shout of pain. She sighed as he slipped from the world into unconsciousness from the pain and looked up to make sure Kami was still awake and not with Falgar in the land of the involuntary sleep . She smiled and her ears flicked forwards momentarily. Standing up she turned and moved over to the fireplace where the remained of a previous fire was still collected, the logs would still burn, she used her old trick of striking two stones and soon there was a fire going which warmed the room up.

She returned to her friend and dragged him closer to the fire so he would benefit from it like she had done with Ookami,

"You should move closer too, it will help but then, I don't need to tell you that."

With a wry smile she climbed the stairs that she had disregarded upon her exit and entered back into the room she had been in, gathering up the strips of dress and some of the other clothes that were in the room. She dumped them over the banister and then moved on to the next room where she had found a few blankets and brought those with her and she descended the stairs, arranging the blankets around and over Falgar so that he would warm up faster. She offered some of them to Kami so he could warm up as well. She sat on the floor besides Falgar and sighed again, resting her head in her hands and her elbows upon her knees, closing her eyes before lifting her head to turn to Kami,

"How did this happen?"
