Restless tonight, cause I wasted the light

He could hear the crickets, even if only fainting, knowing that as soon as the cold really set in that there would not be those noises to lull him to sleep at night. The moon was high, the sky dark, and Jasper lay beneath the starless sky, curled up in a blanket beneath the tree that would soon be his home. Blonde and black clashed against the red color of the blanket, which also stood out in the night, making it obvious that something was there. Two toned eyes stared up at the sky from where he lay, arms crossed over one another and his head resting against them. He'd spent most of the day painting the boards of his tree house home, which also happened to be red, or at least the inside would. Those board were now strewn about the area, laying across the bridge, scattered over makeshift tables, drying so that they could be put together later on.

Despite his day of hard work, though, Jasper simply couldn't find it in himself to sleep. Grabbing hold of the dirty white rabbit, he hoisted himself up from the ground, bringing the blanket with him as he stood. He kept the thing wrapped around him, an attempt to fend off the chill, and with the rabbit cradled against his chest, he began to wander the lands. It was odd being in a place that was so...less advanced than what he was used to. He was making due, certainly, but it was not a nice thing when your fire burned out in the middle of a cold night because there were no walls around you to keep the wind from getting at it. Both hands clutched the blanket, keeping himself and his rabbit friend safe within as he went along, simply wandering and nothing more than that.
