On the road again (traveling begining)

Hola!

Rendall stuffed a blanket into her bag, amongst other things, she had finished packing, or so she thought, until she realized that she had forgotten everything she was using for sleeping. So naturally she had to unpack and pack again. She had decided a week ago that she would help the pack by leaving and traveling to other places. If all else failed then she would have no choice then to travel far into the southeast where it was said that wild herds from the long gone humans still remained. She was going to talk to Pendzez about getting herself, and maybe her traveling partner a horse. That way it would be easy to herd the animals back into pack lands. She looked out her window for a moment. Where was Kami anyways? She had heard that he wanted to travel with her and she had sent a letter address to him, though she wasnt sure if he got it or not. She hoped he did anyways. She also knew that Jefferson knew of her leaving, she would stop by the ranch and talk to him a moment before she left. Her first stop...Inferni.

Ren was slightly nervous about to the coyote pack first, but, if she could somehow set up a better establishment between the coyotes and the wolves, then Ren was willing to risk her neck for it. After all, she still had a good history with the female leader Kaena on her side and she wasnt about ready to destory that. Piss off Kaena and you piss off Inferni. Piss off Inferni and you start one hell of a war. Ren chuckled to herself and checked the weather outside as well as how much longer it would be before she would leave for the nieghboring pack. Ren kept an eye out still for her traveling companion and hoped for the best. At least it wasnt snowing anymore "ick" she stuck her tongue out at the thought of the white stuff. But as the dawn became lighter and lighter all signs of a fair warm day seemed at hand. It lightened the females heart and gave her courage at the thought of traveling to PV's once mortal enemies. She moved to the kitchen, deciding to pack some food for the journey, in case either her or Kami failed to hunt anything. She packed some fat rations for the two of them and made sure everything else was in its place in the large pantry.

Ren had also invited Tala as well as any other homeless ones to seek refuge in her home. She didnt have anything of real value in the cabin and thus she didnt mind at all if others entered her home. She left a letter by the fireplace of directions on where the food, logs, bedding and other non-important things were to be found. Rendall continued to keep an eye out the window searching around for her friend, perhaps he was just running late, she really hoped he didnt change her mind. She would feel slightly bad for having to go alone. She could use the companionship as well as the extra protection. Not to mention hes a male! Ren glared up at her forehead as her mind whispered the words so lightly to her. She had been having issues with not really voices, but another subconsious it seemed, that always poked things into her mind that she either never noticed or tried to ignore before. Sometimes it encourage her to do goofy funny things, and sometimes it encouraged her to do violent angry things, which annoyed her, she wondered if every other wolf had to deal with this. She looked up at her mind once more, conciously telling it to shut up as she waited a little while longer for her friend.

Time. It was one of those things that Kami had never really concerned himself with, well at least until today. Making his way across a frozen field with the light of a new day just beginning to show itself across the tree tops the black wolf couldn't help but be a bit angry with himself. Not that anger was unfamiliar to him recently. Kami had been a solitary being for a long time before coming to the Valley, and while the stability of joining a pack had its rewards there had been something missing. Whatever it was it was causing him to be restless, agitated, and a bit more anti social then even his normal self. When he had heard that one of his earliest friends of the Valley was looking for someone to accompany her on a trip to another pack land he had jumped at the opportunity. The idea of traveling again was making Kami about as excited as he was capable of being, which was mild at its best. Not to mention Rendall was the one he would be playing protector and companion to.

A small smirk formed on his dark muzzle as he thought about the wolfess. The original meeting and invitation to her human den was certainly one of the more fond memories he had of the Valley. Especially with all the pain and destruction that seemed to have infected the pack lands in the past few weeks. There had been few good memories made since that blizzard had pushed itself through. Those few nights had been dark times and with his mind lingering on these negative thoughts the smirk which was so rarely seen on the males face quickly disappeared, replaced with the stony stare that usually occupied him. He could see it now, the cabin that Rendall called home was growing larger with every large step of his Secui form. Hopefully the wolfess wouldn't be to upset at his tardiness, but she had not come across as the quick to anger type. " Guess we'll find out won't we." he muttered under his breath, stepping up to the doorway of her home.

Kami did not hesitate to enter the human den as he did on his first visit here. The fear of these old buildings had been mostly replaced by in difference. Rendall was partly at fault for the change in his perception, but the blizzard had forced him to use them on more then one occasion. "I know, I know, I'm late but. . ." he stopped himself as he stepped into the room. The scents and warmth of the home was as inviting as he remembered, even though he hadn't actually been invited in this time. Scolding himself silently as he remembered it was considered rude to enter someone else s home without being told to do so first. " To late now. " he thought to himself as his eyes came to rest upon the black fur of his companion. She was just placing what looked like food into a pack which was a bit of a surprise. Kami was not an owner of many possessions and he had not considered bringing anything other then his own flesh and experience. It was all he had needed in the past to get by and he had not thought they might need anything more.

Ren's ears picked up as she heard Kami's voice. She turned and smiled at the stern male standing and huuging him lightly. She was happy he decided to join her. "Its fine its fine." She semi-laughed out "We can make up time with pace." She checked around, making sure everything else was in place. She nodded and turned her attention to him, scrunching her eyes before smiling at Kami's lack of supplies. "I guess your use to traveling alot lighter then I" She shrugged and went to grab her bow and winter cloak as she did she called back to the male "I hope you dont mind if we go visit Jefferson real quick before leaving clan grounds, I just wish to keep him posted about our progress and which pack we will be traveling to." She smiled as she grabbed the bow and cloak, and, after swinging the pack over her shoulder she walked to the door, pausing in the doorway to wait for the male before walking out into the snow.

The sun was shining brightly and the wind was nothing but a slow occasional breeze. The sun shone just above the horizon and Rens fur glittered the bright blue as she closed her eyes and took a slow deep breath. Yes today is a good day for traveling Her minds voice whispered happily. She turned to Kami again. Nodding to the larger male before strutting off into the outdoors, making her way down the many trails that led from her home and out into the world. She made her way northwest towards the ranch, were they would find Jefferson...hopefully. It was only pure luck that her cabin was in the southeast corner of P.V, otherwise, they would lose time going to see the patriarch. Ren walked quietly for a while till they hit the small lakes. She tried to concentrate on any icy spots that may have appeared in the night, but her mind had others plans and without thinking she began talking to the male. "So what lead you to volunteer to travel with me?"
