Sakari had been getting out a bit more lately. The other day she had even gone to the very edges of the tribe's lands and moved past them. It was the furthest that she had been since she had arrived in AniWaya. Today she didn't go quite that far though. Instead she only moved to the edge of the village and stopped at the Spirit Oak. She gazed upon the large tree and placed her front paws on it as she stared at the carvings on it. She couldn't wait to see her own carved up there. To be part of the lucky ones that had their spirit guides. She could recognize her uncle's up there as well as Liliana's but the other animals depicted up there she had no idea whose they were. But they all looked very interesting at least.

Lately she had started feeling an itching within her body though. It was something that no matter how hard she scratched it was something that couldn't be gotten rid of. It felt to be something under the skin, something that she couldn't easily reach. She wished that she could get rid of it though. She had no idea what it was, not that she had mentioned it to anyone either. She could consult with her uncle since he was a healer but she didn't want to pester him seeing as he was dealing with his own injury that was a result of a recent storm. Because of that she didn't want to burden him more. She wanted to show him that she was a big girl and able to look after herself.

After all she had moved up into the adult ranks. That had been something that she was really looking forward too. As well as the next few steps into adulthood. She couldn't wait for her spirit guide or to shift. Also she couldn't wait to get started on her profession path. She had even gotten started on it. She had learned a small bit about herbs. She was eager to move along her profession path and prove to everyone that she could be as great as her uncle.

The foxlike wolf did not know what she was doing in this place. It was deep within the AniWaya territory, almost past it, and was as alien to her as the rest of the terrain. She had stayed within reach of J'adore and his building made of trees, in case he was interested in imparting his knowledge upon her; however, the male seemed far too busy with his duties, and that meant she had time to waste. The exploration of the territory was important to her - if you were going to live somewhere, it is good to know the land. As Tatiana moved she watched as the population thinned, down to the point where she was alone. It signified that she was nearing the edge of the territory, which made her somewhat nervous. Nayati had said the border wasn't constantly patrolled, so that meant she could encounter all kinds of dangers if she was not careful. When the wind shifted and she caught the scent of another wolf, it made her feel more at ease. The stranger was from AniWaya, so they were probably friendly and safe; far better than the lone state she was currently in. How curious, that the wolf who so loves it's freedom becomes so scared upon losing it. She was part of a pack now, and even without knowing the entirety of the populace, it felt strange for her to be alone.

Tatiana moved quickly through the shadows, her slender body shifting in between trees and racing over rocky hills, until she was within visual range of the wolf. The stranger was female, and they were quite interested in a tree - it was a simple tree, one that resembled many others from her current distance. Yet as the girl approached, she saw what was so magnificent about it. The growth was tall, one of the largest trees she had ever seen, and there were markings upon it's surface. Strange shapes that meant little to the animal, but still seemed magical. Tatiana had a sudden feeling of apprehension set in to her heart - was she intruding on a ritual, perhaps? Or inturrupting this stranger at a time that was unwanted? She took a posture of utmost submission, looking a bit apologetic should the wolf look over - and then began examining the tree herself. The shapes looked odd, but some were... Interesting. Crude birds, bears, was she seeing this correctly? Animal shapes. "What do those shapes mean?" Came her quiet question, hoping that enough time had passed so that her voice would not startle the other canine. Her curiosity overran her fears and apprehensions, and she just wanted to understand. Why was this tree so significant? What did the shapes mean? Looking at them made Tatiana's skin crawl, but... Not in a bad way, somehow. In a familiar creeping sensation. How bizarre.

OOC here: Table & Coding © Alli; The tree is just at the edge of the village, the territory stretches further. Here, are the territories. The tree is #4 on the map. And this is my fault, but here you will see that the tree has fallen down and I forgot to make it clear in my post though it also shows what other damages the recent storm did just for reference. And while I'm at it, here are the current spirit guides that would be on the tree

Sakari moved along beside the felled tree to find another carving within its surface. She reached with a paw to touch upon the depiction of another animal. There were birds all over this tree and she couldn't wait until her own bird was up there. That was if they were still going to even use this tree for carving into since it had fallen down. She hadn't seen another tree having started to be carved into either. It was something she would have to ask her Edusti Tsugi about.

She glanced over at the sound of the voice, smiling a bit as she was questioned. "These are spirit guides. When someone gets a spirit guide the animal gets carved into the tree. Then when they die the carving is removed and burned with them so that the guide can lead them into their new journey into their next life." She explained the basics of the tree and the symbolism thereof. Many of the aspects in the tribe were based around rituals. There was a tradition and ritual to about every part of daily life. These were things that were followed. At least it was these things that she had learned on in the Great Tribe and they seemed to be continued here as well. The values that she had started learning she would gain more knowledge about under her uncles tutelage.

She was feeling itchy again but rather than disrespecting the Spirit Oak and rubbing against it she ended up rolling on the ground to try and get rid of it. But no matter how much she writhed about she could not get rid of it. "Are you itchy?" She ended up asking the other female, all the while knowing that she must look a sight twisting around on the ground the way that she was.
