I hope you don’t mind, but I reused the idea for this first post. When I used it last, my posting partner just kind of disapered…

His whole mind was on the hunt. A small herd of deer had been eluding the Alaskan for the better part of the evening and night now. After meeting Lilaina earlier today, Jaden had picked up the scent of the spooked deer. Whatever scared them caused them to run for hours before hitting the sea and continuing up the coast, dangerously close to pack territory. When they had finally stopped a little less than an hour and ago, thankfully before crossing into Dahlia de Mai, Jaden went a mile back to the beach and set up a small camp. He started a fire in the sand near a few boulders that had been washed smooth when the tide came in. The water was low now, so it made a nice dry camp ground once he cleared the seaweed and other debris away. After the fire was started with some dry ponderosa pine trees he found, Jaden used his trusty iron bowl, which had dings from being dropped many times in the time Jaden had had it to start some sea water boiling. After that, the camp was complete and the dark Optime disappeared into the night. He felt odd without his heavy satchel on his back to weigh him down. The lack of weight would make his stealth easier. For the first time in months, he was not trying to go somewhere or do something. All he wanted to do was satisfy his hunger with a hot meal.

Before the deer came into sight again, Jaden could smell their sent wavering toward him. He was approaching down wind, if you could call the night’s pitiful breeze wind. This atmosphere was beautiful and contributed to Jaden’s heightened awareness. He could hear the smallest animals scurry by and noticed the smallest movements of the wildlife. When he concentrated on only the hunt, instinct took over, rushing adrenalin into his body’s veins and speeding up his breathing. Jaden moved silently with practiced stealth, melting into the forest until the herd came into view.

The deer stood close together and were silent. Only a few bulls stirred, lifting their heads to look around and watch the darkness for danger. When they did, the predator stalking them would become still, his black and dark red-dyed fur hiding him successfully in the shadows. It would be impossible for the hunter to get within attack distance before he was seen by the sentries, if not for the short bow nestled in a leather quiver on his back with five arrows.

Jaden moved between glances until he was at the edge of the protective forest’s dark embrace. Stepping any further would put him in plain view against the clearing’s grass and white moon light. Once this point was reached, he carefully drew his short bow and strung an arrow. Leveling the weapon, he took a few deep breaths to slow his heart and took aim at the nearest deer. The prey slept with its head low and body relaxed atop its four legs. When Jaden pulled the arrow back, it made a small noise as the line stretched and rubbed against the butt of his arrow. One of the bulls suddenly jerked up and peered into the forest toward him, but it was too late. Jaden held his breath and let the arrow fly. It sailed with an air splitting sound and hit his target with a wet thud. The target deer made an odd squeak of terror as the arrow penetrated its’ throat and it fell, struggling onto its side. The male deer that watched this happen sounded a call that shattered the night’s still air and awoke all the deer. The sound was echoed a few times by the other sentries before all of the deer began to stampede in panic. Jaden grind with satisfaction at the single kill-shot he landed and doubted most archers could land one as well, but his arrogant thoughts and grin disappeared when the stampeding deer ran straight toward him. A few stumbled over their fallen comrade in panic, but they didn’t know where the attack had come from and hadn’t brains to determine what had occurred. They simply sprinted toward the nearest forest line, which was chosen by that reason to be Jaden’s firing spot.

As they crossed the dark threshold, Jaden jumped straight up into the trees and grabbed for the think limbs above him, pulling his body parallel to the ground and lifting his shaggy tail away from the deer’s path. Time seemed to slow incredibly as the Optime held himself flat to the limbs. His arms burned with the sudden strain it took to hold his 275 pound body in this position. The limbs groaned too, threatening to snap, and the only thought Jaden could muster was that of hope. He might not have gotten high enough to avoid all the deer.

A bull’s antler brushed right through his thick back fur and caused Jaden to flinch. Another inch and it would have racked right into muscle and bone. Only about thirty seconds later, when the sound of hooves began to fade, Jaden finally let go of the trees and fell to the ground. He rolled in mid air and landed on one knee, but didn’t rise automatically. His breathing was labored and his limbs shook as he realized just how close he had come, yet again, to meeting his end. What a stupid mistake. He cursed himself as he stood and shook his now overheated body to feel the cool air of the night on his skin. With gentle hands, he felt his bare lower back for injuries but found only a little scrap that was barely bleeding. Luckily the antlers of the deer had not impaled him and only left a small scratch. He sighed and wondered if the kill laying in the field ahead of him was worth the price he had almost paid.

Silyva and Rina had been out hunting once again, it had been a while since they had something nice and big. And a couple miles away were some deer. They had been traveling for a quite a bit and she was getting reasless from not having a nice meal. Shedrooled just thinking about. Their soft flesh would pretty much melt in her mouth, blood would be warm and sweet. Oh how she was ready to make the kill. In Secui form she could smell them easy. Their sent smelled like that had been stressed eairler. This would only be a small problem, they would be more aware of their soundings. But then again the would be distracted easy as well. And that is were Rina would come in handy. Taking her speed up a notch, she made her way towards her prey. Silent and unseen.

As she closed on her prey she set up her plan. She would send Rina out to the deer to make some noise to keep them fixed on her. When she was close enough, she would give she yiep fpr her to get out of there quick. As soon as she did she would go for the nearest deer and take it down. Yes, she was sure her plan would work. In her form she was much stronger then thoses deer and should be able to jusp on top of one and break its back or snap its neck.

Only a few yards away now she sent Rina on her job. The little creature knew what to do, she had done it plenty times before so she knew how it work. Silyva watched as Rina ran around playfully, making noise, but not scaring
the deer to much. The small one let them see her a few times. Running near the edges of thrie sight. Silyva crept closer, she was about close enough when she heard a slight sound that wasn't Rina. She looked up to see on of the stags left its head up to stare at some unseen figure that stood on the other side of the herd of white tails. With a sloppy sound, one of the deer fell to the ground dead.

With that she lept into action, running to grab her Rina creature she bounded out of the woods and headed for her. Some stupid deer bumpted into her and she nipped at its side, ripping a small chunk from it anger. It had stepped on her foot. Oh how that hurt like hell, she cursed a few nasty words then snatched up her Marten and took her to a safe place to the side. Looking over the creature to make sure she was fine, after everything look unbroken she set off to get her revenge. She knew that Rina would wait right there for her. Balsting back into action, even though her paw felt on fire and she could smell blood in the air, she tried to catch up to the one who had stepped on her foot. She reconized it when she saw the small chunk out of it's side. It was a small doe, but big enough for her to munch on for a while.

Weaving through the trees, she went for its legs. Nipping, trying to get a solid bite. She could feel the tangling thorn bushes try to pull her down. She cursed once more that the creature and lept for the doe. Landing slightly on its butt she bit deep and held on. Soon it tripped and she was on its neck ripping it open and watching blood poor out. "See what hapens when you try to stomp my Rina and step on my paw. Wrong move hun." She said with a smile.

Still cooling down, Jaden walked slowly into the clearing where his kill lay. The doe was a nice size and the fur on its upper body was matted with blood. While the Alaskan had been distracted by the other deer, his had bled out completely. It was still warm and, as the dark Optime crouched low over it, he drew the dagger from his hip.

Mouth watering, Jaden set his blade on the animal’s hide for his first incision, but a quick movement caught his attention. Blue eyes shot up and scanned the clearing instantly. A soft breeze brushed through the trees and raced across the field before caressing Jaden’s thick fur and sending his scent back in the direction the deer had run. The clearing looked empty. He smiled as the air finished cooling him to a comfortable temperature, and looked back to his kill. The dagger easily cut into the deer's shoulder and released the newly invigorated scent of blood that made the Optime’s attempts to not devour his kill exceedingly difficult. Another sudden movement interrupted his thoughts of feasting though, and he looked up again, this time standing and sheathing his tool. He was not alone in this field. What ever it was, it had to be small for Jaden to miss it on his first glance. The Alaskan began to cautiously move in the direction of the brown he had seen. He analyzed and reanalyzed the blur that crossed his peripheral vision and thought at first what he was looking for might be a hiding squirrel, but what kind of a squirrel would be in a clearing deer had just stampeded out of? Perhaps it was a scavenger already moving in to taste his kill. If there was one thing the really bothered Jaden besides ballsy coyotes, it was ballsy scavengers. Drawing his bow once more, he got ready to shoot himself a crow, or something of the sort.

But, he was stopped when a familiar little creature met his eyes. Crouched in the grass and holding dead still was a little martin. It looked like an ersatz version of a fox, being smaller and differently shaped. Jaden had actually eaten a few of the rodents during his life in Alaska. They were tough and chewy and had little meat on there bodies, so there was no point in hunting for them exclusively, though while looking for something easy to kill, they had sometimes found their way onto his menu.

The animal was familiar, but still a bit of a strange sight. Since being in ‘Souls, Jaden had not come across one of the beady eyed little things. The ones he had seen before were very wary of wolves and never tried to share a kill either. This one seemed special as it noticed Jaden’s eyes were on it and only flicked is fluffy little tail. The Optime found himself wishing for the first time that he had learned low-speech. Being able to ask the little creature what his business in this clearing was would make things easy. He looked to his kill then back to the martin. There was plenty for the little thing and it was brave, still holding its ground, like it didn’t want to move from the place it was planted. Jaden squatted down and held out his hand, his tail swishing back and forth and making little calling noises to the creature. It might be entertaining to watch it try and eat the much larger deer. Chances were it would go scampering off as soon as the Optime drew his dagger anyaway. “Come here little one. I won’t bite.” He cooed and held out his claw. The rodent actually took a few steps back from him instead of responding to his voice positively. Jaden retracted his claw and rested there for a second, wondering about the martin further. But he sighted and gave up a second later, standing to his feet. The sudden movement scared the martin and it scampered off a little ways, but he didn’t see how far because he stopped caring about it, turning back to his kill and proceeded to continue opening the flesh with his dagger.

Silyva had quite a rush going on. The deers blood filled her sences, blocking everything else from her mind. Bitting down on the deers neck she grabbed herself a nice bloody slice out and scrafed it down. She could feel the blood on her muzzle. She didn't care though. This who she was, a blood craving wolf. A wolf that loved the chase more than the hunt. She loved to take down her prey and watch it's blood pour out slowly. To lap it all up, leaving nothing behind. As she finish her slice she bent down to lap up it's blood. Cooling down her lust, she begain to regain her sences. And with her sences came the pain of her hurt paw. With a small wine she brought it up to her to see. It look kind of crushed. Bloodly and smushed. She snarled in rage at what this deer had done to her. Grabbing it's neck, she shook it back and forth. Blood splilling out everwhere. Lifting her head from her kill she let out a howl of rage. No one better mess with her tonight. Oh how she was in the mood to kill once again.

Turning aways from her meal she went back to retreave her Marten. Oh how Rina would be pleased what she had taken down. The she noticed it. The smell of another wolf. A male. Picking up her pace, she loped off towards where she left her pet. The same direction the male as in. Had he made the noise that almost riuned her kill? Was he the one who took down the other deer? Of corse not! On deer would drop dead like that? How could she be so stupid!? Running now, even though her paw stared to hurt more and more. Was Rina hurt? She prayed to her Goddess that she was safe. Rina was smart. She would never let another wolf take hold of her. No matter how nice they seemed.

As she entered the clearing she seem the male. He was crouched over his kill. Slowing to a quick walk, she let out a loud snarl. "Rina?" She called out, hoping that her loved one would come bounding out.

OoC: Sorry about the wait Sad bad weekend. Word Count=400+ WotD+1 (pusillanimous)

A sharp sound pierced the night air as a wolf nearby howled. The howl was unsettling and sounded a bit angry or aggravated. Jaden kept cutting at the venison, his ears flicking a little to pick up any other sounds coming from echoing in the woods. The wolf who had howled sound a little ways off and Jaden had the instinctual desire to suddenly answer, but decided against it. If he could avoid confrontation with an angry and probably unworthy opponent, why not try? The deer’s fur had been almost completely removed from its flank, reveling lean muscle. From past experiences the Optime had learned this meat would cook to be the most tender and nicest to consume. With the salt that was surely boiled off by now and maybe some wild sage he could pick on the way back to his camp, it would taste all the better. To keep himself from devouring the meat strait off, he cut a few pieces of the more flavorful fatty meat to chew on while he worked.

Blood thickly filled the air and bloodlust mostly distracted Jaden from his surroundings, but the next sound that ripped into the air sent a shock of adrenalin through his dark body. He quickly stood and spun to face the other wolf now walking toward him in the clearing. Her snarl was followed by an aggressive call,

“Rina?”

The Alaskan didn’t notice Rina, the little martin from before, making a steady circle around him toward the stranger and he had no idea what the word meant when he heard it either, but he didn’t care at that point. He was angry that she had snuck up on him. Being surprised put him in a bad mood.

This wolf looked like she wanted to fight. Her dark fur was thick and her body sleek, Jaden noticed as he quickly looked her over. The secui form she held now was dangerous on almost any wolf, but she was larger than most she-wolves and, unfortunately, looked far from pusillanimous. The only advantage he had now was the dagger in his claws, which was a slightly large one for the experienced killer. Her unarmored body would not fend off the sharp blade. If she attacked and would not relent or submit when, and if, he won, she would stand no chance in a life or death battle. “I hope you have a good reason to snarl at me, stranger.” He growled, barring his teeth. He stood strong and tossed the dagger from his left hand to his more dexterous right. A red glint shown from the blade as it caught the pale, full moon’s light.

Silyva ignored the other wolf, careful to make sure that she did not place her body in way of an easy attacking position. With eyes wide with anger, that she had stupidly left her Rina alone, and in fear for her loved one safety. "Rina love.. Come to me, it is safe. I am here. This wolf will not dare to cause you no harm." She shot a look to the other as Rina made her way around him. If he dared to harm her in any form or way, he would pay with his blood. As Rina made her way slowly to her master, Slyva was starting to cool down. It seemed that either he had not noticed her or had just left her alone. Either way, she had no need to be angry with him anymore. Gathering herself, she prepared herself with an apology that this male deserved. As she parted her maw to start he spoke. And with what she said made her angry all over again. "Excuse me?" She thought she had every right to be angry. Or at the least worried. He could have eatin her Rina. A warning growl was nessary. Besides that she wasn't... Then she remembered.

"You! Your the one who took down that deer with your.. Your damned bow." He had scared her prey, not that she thought back to it. Mann she need to stop smoking. Oh how her memory wasn't how it used to be. "If it wasn't for you then I wouldn't be so angry about my dear pet Marten almost being trampled and my paw being STOMPED ON!" The last she shouted. Shouting never suited her. Her voice was to soft to yell.. The blood lust must still be in her system she figured. Looking down to her paw, she was reminded on how bad it hurt. "Ughhhh.. Mmmmm" She mumbled a few growns of pain. It was so squished looking. "Do you see this?!" Holding up her paw to show him. "How am I to shift with a paw like this huh?!" She knew if she need to shift she could. But her paw would prolly not complete the change, it would be unable untill her bones were relined.

Turning from the wolf she grabbed up Rina in her jaws soflty and walked- Limped to the side of the clearing and plopped down. Sitting Rina to the side, she tried to put the bone in her paw back in place. Sweat stared to run down her face with the pain it took to try to move them back to where they belonged. She knew she wouldn't be able to hunt, run, or anything with her foot like this. "Damn it all."

Jaden watched the female, still poised and ready for any attack that might come. She was angry at him and that was plainly obvious by the way she yelled her responses back at him. Listening to her, the Alaskan quickly began to understand just why she was angry. Rina was her pet which had almost been stepped on, her hunt had been nearly ruined, and her paw trampled. Never having a pet or even a child of his own, Jaden did not have much to compare the feelings she had for Rina to something in his own life. Wondering if the martin was like a sibling to her, he made a connection to the pain he felt in losing his sister. Oh what he would have done to save Destiny if he could’ve. For her to be hostile toward him because she was worried about her loved pet seemed completely fair. Jaden had thought about eating it anyway.

Sheathing his dagger, he watched as she picked up Rina and limped to the edge of the clearing. She had shown her painfully damaged paw before moving and now sat under the trees tampering with it. The Alaskan edged a bit closer and watched as she began to sweat and curse in pain. I did not get her hurt intentionally, he told himself. There was no evidence of her hunting. Not a scent. Not a sound. She was experienced in sneaking about. Or Jaden was letting his guard down too much. Since passing Dahlia de Mia, he had been snuck up on more than a few times. Either way, she was hurt and he was still somewhat to blame. “I’m sorry about putting you and your pet in danger. I didn’t know we were hunting the same deer.” Walking a bit closer still, he said, “If you’d like, I can look at your paw. I know a bit about injuries. It might be easier to have someone else set it...”

Still pushing on the mucky looking paw she looked up to see the other wolf. He seemed in a daze, somewhere else. She fely no sorrow for the sad look on his face. At the moment, she felt nothing but pain and anger. With a huph she went back to trying to fix herself. Still covered in deer blood and now she own, she new she must look crazy. Not that she cared, she hoped he was afraid of her. That he would just go away. She hated looking weak to another creature like herself. She wasn't weak she kept telling herself. Over and over but her paw would surly slow her down. If she could find Undertaker maybe he could fix it. Either that or cut it off and study it. With a shudder at the thought of him taking her paw away she decided she wouldn't find his help. He was an odd one for sure.

Rina seemed worried to Silyva, putting her paw aside she turned to the small one and tried to comfort her. "Rina, Rina darling.. Everythin' will be okay. Your gonna be so proud of me" Forcing the best fake smill she could. "Our deer is quite big. And I plan to leave the insides all for you. It's your first pick love.." Hoping that would be enough to cheer up her little on she tuned back to the other one who spoke.

She listend to him with her head on the cool ground laying flat on her belly. Words that flowed from his mouth barly made it to her ears. She was so tired. That rush was fading, and with it so was she into a dream she wasn't ready to have. All that running and dogging, fearing for her loved ones and being crushed had wore her out. She barely mumbled out " Oh shut it wolf.. We are both skilled hunters. Neither of us making a sound. I didn't notice you and you never noticed us." She shook her head to try to clear the sleepyness. "Her have at it. "Pushing her paw towards the stranger "I surly cannot fix the damned thing. But I warn y-you. Try to strike me or my Rina and you will pay with your life." Raising her top lip to show pointy blood covered, killing teeth ready to make their next kill.

The other wolf didn’t seem to be doing all that well. She was beginning to look drowsy and lay down. Her body looked slightly defeated and more than a little exhausted. Having her paw injured had been quite a shock to her system. Her reply was a bit hazy and she still gave more or less hostile words. Jaden began to wonder if it was a good idea to offer this wolf help. Her dark fur was covered in blood and the way she acted made her seem slightly psychotic. Such a shady character might not be worth helping. But he couldn’t just leave her in this state. It didn’t seem fair. The younger version of him might have. When he had been the soon to be Alpha of Uva Atka, a wolf growling at him would have met an arrow in the throat without question. No one in that area would have dared growl at him. Just because he had been tolerant of this female and looked for why she was angry showed how much improvement the killer had made in only a short amount of time. Realizing this made Jaden want to continue being kind despite the circumstances.

He carefully removed his leather shoulder strap, dagger, quiver with bow and arrows, and his satchel and dropped them onto the grass. They made a clinking nose as the various metal things rubbed or bumped within. He put his hands up in a nonthreatening way and began toward the other wolf. “I have discarded all of my weapons. I don’t mind helping you, but in order for me to do so, I have to know you won’t bite me if I make a sudden movement. I don’t like being bitten, but it sounds like you have something to eat already, so I will trust you. But you must have some faith that I won’t kill you, or your pet, at my first chance.” As he finished the thought of, I already had that chance, went though his mind but he kept that from his peace offering. If she was a little bit out of her normal mind-space because of the injury, he didn’t want to agitate her. Stopping a little ways in front of her, Jaden looked at the paw once again, then back to her. Rina was curled against the dark wolf and she had her sharp teeth bared at him. “It might hurt. Are you sure you still want my help?”

As he waited for a response, the Alaskan began to ask himself why he was leaving himself so venerable to this she-wolf. Without his weapons he was not a match against her. If she was lying about how much the paw hurt her and decided to rip out his throat, what would stop her? Even if Jaden could fight off her attack, she would undoubtedly leave him bloody and mangled just because of how much more strength she had in her secui form than he did in his Optime. Only four months ago he would have never been so trusting. Then again, he was offering help to the injured wolf. He was not asking her to be very truckle to him. His life up to three months ago had been filled with psychopaths and killers who had tried to kill him. So maybe it was a good idea that he tried something different now.

OOC: I have no idea why its so shortTongue Sorry!

Between half closed eye lids, she watched as he unarmed his self. With hands in the air she walked towards them once again opening his mouth to let free to many words. "Mmmmm" She never did enjoy sudden movements weither she was awake and healty or not. "Fine, I give you my word my teeth will not meet your flesh in any harmful way. But I do not give mt word that they wont meet them in any other way." Giving a small wink and giggle and moved on. "I also do not give you my word that Rina wont nip you a few time thou.." Turning to nuzzle her creature. "She a angry little creature." She didn't understand why in the hell she was letting her pain get to her. She was never this nice!? Never so care free as she was now. He could kill her at any moment. Slash her neck clean open for all her blood to pour out. This was bad. She needed to wake up and quick. "No, to be truthful I haven't really eatin. My kill is down the trail a bit, most likely being eatin but other creatures. Lucky animals, if she could she would chase them all off. Every last bit of them. Tear them to bits, she would. "Yes, yes stop your yacking will ya?! Geeezzzz boy. I have damn faith in ya kay? And don't start with me about killing. This is unfair at the moment." She hated looking weak. Struggling to a sitting up position, she frowned. "My mind is unchanged. No matter of the pain, it still remains the same. Rina will be a good Marten." Turning to make a slight growl to Rina in warning.

OoC: No Prob ^^ feel free to have them both bite at Jaden if you like. He will forgive and this would hurt I think… Word Count~400

A look of questioning crossed Jaden’s face. This female was so strange. One minute she is being threatening and defensive, and the next she is winking, giggling, and being kind. He just attributed her actions and attitude to the shock of her injury or the pain, and didn’t look too far into what she had said. With her promise that she would not nip at him, Jaden crossed the last bit of distance between him and the she-wolf. He knelt in front of her and looked at the paw. She was sitting upright now, but kept her weight of the injury.

Gingerly, Jaden lifted it off the ground so he could look at it. “This might hurt a little.” He warned before pressing on the paw lightly. Her bones were not where they should be and he started to speak to give her something to think about besides the pain. “If your kill has been taken by scavengers, you can have what you want from mine. I’m only going to take the more lean meat for myself.” He turned the secui paw in his hand to examine her pads. Rina was tense and looked like she might bite him if he moved to fast. Jaden wasn’t worried though. Its little teeth might not even go through his thick fur. “Hmm," Jaden still held the paw but looked up at the female while he spoke. She had the fine gold eyes of a full bread wolf. “Some of the toes on your paw are dislocated. I’m going to put them back into place, but this will hurt. With a few firm presses, he pushed her bones inline so they would all relocate with one swift movement. The feeling of bone moving somewhat freely under her soft fur was a little sickening and the Optime felt bad because he knew he was hurting her. “Okay,” Jaden took a breath, “here we go. On three alright… One… Two—” With a quick upward push, he realigned her joints a second earlier than he said he was going to. If it was not a surprise, the tensing of her muscles in anticipation of pain would have made it more difficult and painful to fix the injury.

OOC: Nah Silyva is one who keeps her word no matter whatSmile

Oh how she dislike the feeling of this male being so close. Yes, she flirted a bit with him earlier but only to loosen the tension. She had never had a male so close in her life. Never had she allowed one to touch her, even in the slightest way before. This all seemed a bit to much to her. All she wanted to do was to squirm her way back into the woods and hide. She didn't care that her paw seemed to be broken anymore. She would rather take in to be choped off than this male be so nice to her and be so close. He was just so damed close. If she wanted to, all she had to do was reach out the smallest bit and she would be able to touch his fur. All she had to do..

Silyva drifted of the subject when her grabbed her paw and gave her a warning. Pressing into her paw she let out a small uneasy rumble. She could feel the misplaced bones shift inside. "Mmmmm... This sucks." She could tell Rina was truly upset that she was hurt. As he spoke to her of her meal she turned her head slighty to nuzzle Rina once more. "T-thanks but if my kill is taken, I'd rather just find more or eat whats left." She had already impossed too much. Her mother had taught her better to. Once he was finished, she would leave like she always did. She hated never being able to stay somewhere for less that two or three days. She hated being uncomfortable other wolves. Truly did it super suck.

The small smile she once had fadded when her explained why her paw was so mushy. "I figured. I can feel them move inside when it's pressed apon." Oh how painful it is going to be when he moves them. Suspressing a wimper or fear and anger she looked up to him. Eyes wide and slighty filled with evidence of pain. She did not remove her gaze from him untill he was finished with the first process. Only when he spoke again did she look away. He began counting. The word seemed to slow its pace. Lowering her head to where his knee rested, she leadned it aginst it. Clenching her jaw, know the pain would only come with more wimpering. She counted with him silently.

With a sound somewhree between a growl and a yeilp, she bit into the ground when he pushed them all back into place. The pain was enormous. Not only did she feel it in her paw but it shot all the way up her leg. Once it subsided, she tried to stand on four paws again only to roll to her side. Between gasps of air she spit out. "Thank you.."

Word Count~400

“There is no need to thank me,” Jaden said as he watched the female. “I only fixed an injury I caused. Keep your weight off of it if you can. That will help you heal quicker.” He gave her a Sympathetic smile. “I did the same to my shoulder about a year ago, so I know what you are going through.”

The Alaskan rose from his knelt position and stretched his back a little. “I would also offer some tea to help your pain, but I don’t know that I have any left.” He turned and went back to where he had dropped his satchel and weapons. They lay peacefully in the grass, seemingly completely unaffected by what had just happened. She is tuff for not making more of a racket, Jaden thought to himself. Having re-dislocated his shoulder after doing it the first time, he knew all too well how uncomfortable it was. “The winter has killed the most useful herbs around here.”

Slipping his shoulder strap and satchel on again, he turned back to her. The black wolf was oddly interesting at that moment, lying in the grass before him. Questions bubbled into the Optime’s mind, who was she? Where was she from? Where was she going? But he didn’t ask. From the way she had reacted to him being near to her, he got the feeling that she might not want to talk to him much more. It could have just been the pain he caused her, but Jaden felt it might be more than that. He didn’t blame her. Getting to know random people in the wilderness doesn’t usually contribute to your life in any major way. If she wanted to be on her way, he would not stop her or ask her to stay. Feeling his stomach tighten with forgotten hunger pains reminded him what he had set out to do anyway. A hot meal on the beach sounded even nicer now then it had before. “I hope your paw feels a bit better, stranger. My name is Jaden by the way. It’s nice to meet you,” said the man with a grin. It suddenly seemed odd that he had not gotten a name for her before now.

OOC: Well I think were going to have to end this soon. School work is out to get me and I have way to many threads. Plus I hate making people wait so... SORRY!!!

Clare laid there and listened only nodding her head when needed be. Her paw still hurt pretty back but she knew it would heal soon. Hopefully. She watched as he got up and moved towards his belongings. She was no longer worried about him fast movements. He could have killed her if he really wanted to already and so could she to him. To her; there was a sort of trust between them now she figured.

Heaving herself from where she lay, carefully, she sat up to watch him. "No, do not worry. You have helped me enough. Keep important things like that to yourself in times like this. You don't know when you'll need it for something truly bad." She knew he was right about the herbs being ruined from the winter. She wasn't much into them but she had some knowlage about them. Well at least what to eat when your hungry and what not to eat. Her father had taught her that much thankfully. Then again she had leared what not to eat from experince one time when she was younger, her mother had to keep her bed riden for a few days till her sickness was under control once more. The they were off searching once again. Always searching it seem. Silyva gave herself a mental kick, she loved hunting for treasure.

Silyva figured she should be leaving soon once she saw that he fixed himself with his satchel over his shoulder once again. He prolly didn't want her around any more anyways, she ahd already been to much of a burden. Then again, she had a right to have him fix her paw. It was his falt sort of after all. Silyva decided to find out how she would make it around seeing as she couldn't shift at the moment with a healing hand/paw. Shifting her weight off her hurt paw she stood up. It wasn't to bad. Untill she tried to walk. The first try ended up with a slight yeilp and some naughty words. The second try held out to be a little better. Sadly thou, she had to hop. And it was embarssing in all the ways. She felt weak most of all. How bad she wanted to prove to this male that she wasn't weak, for some odd reason. But she had no other option. If she were to walk on it, it would only make it worse and that wasn't good at all. With a huph she stopped and favored her paw listening to his words. She just remembered that they hadn't exchanged names. "Oh thanks. My name is Silyva Sapphire. It is also nice to meet you too Jaden"

No Problem. Sorry about the incredibly short post >< Word Count-200+

Politely declining the offer of tea, Syliva stood and tested her paw. Jaden smiled at her use of a few curses. She was quite a character. “Times are better now than they have been, but you are right I suppose.” If she didn’t want any more help from a stranger then she had gotten already, who was he to make her take it?

The other wolf seemed slightly different in personality now then she had before. Maybe she trusted him slightly? Or maybe she was still in shock from her injury causing her personality to be unstable. It didn’t really matter. She provided her name to the man’s and he smiled. “Silyva Sapphire, A pretty name.” Giving her a questioning glance, Jaden slipped his thumb under the shoulder strap near his belly. “What do you plan on doing now Silyva? It’s getting late and I have some cooking to do, so I must go soon. If you like you can join me. I don’t bite, or at least I haven’t yet,” He grinned, “but if you want to be on your way I understand too. I might not be interested in eating much after an ordeal like yours.” Maybe he would see her again sometime, if she decided to leave. He could always grill her with questions then.
