And now this could be the last of all the rides we take

It was only two days since Vigilante, her new leader, and Ezra met her on the borders and allowed her to join Cour des Miracles, her new pack. It felt weird for the female to finally find herself a pack after such a long time she left hers. In fact, it was almost as her very first pack. After all, they were more humans than actual wolves and dogs! She was more human than wolf. And it troubled her. The British female could barely use her Secui or Lupus, seeing not wearing clothes made her feel oddly uncomfortable and... naked? The only moment she would shift, it would be for hunting. One thing was being uncorfortable, and the other was washing off blood stains from leather. Oh, the horror! Just the thought made her shudder... No, the woman could face the awkwardness of both four-legged forms if it meant being spared from all that work.

She had to find her wolf side if she wished to live in a pack. That much was settled clearly on her mind, no doubt of it. The whole day she wandered around the pack, searching for a more... natural place to settle down, but none looked appealing enough for her. And yes, it was indeed a bit selfish of her. Being picky when her only standarts were like that of a civilized human... seriously, what was she doing?!

The woman apused on her tracks for a second, one of her legs stretching out from the bike's pedal to the floor, supporting her weight on it. "Ah'm such a stuid IDIOT!" The female nearly shouted in her weird British-into-American accent. She had absolutely no idea of what she was doing. At all. Really, what's the point?! Even if she found a natural place, like a den or something, she would end up iving up on them in a week or so, and she knew it. Then really, why go through all of that?! Wouldn't it be much more simple to just go for what she's used to?

During that minor discussion with herself on her head, night seemed to start crawling upon the horizon, spooking out the sun down West until morning. And the redder sunlight grew stronger until it would start fading down to a red and then to purple and finally, vanquish fully. But right now, it inked everything in its reach with flame-red and bright-yellow. The woman looked around with soft, still confused eyes on the sceneario around her. Even now, seeing the red trees and ground and rocks and sky and everything... shhe could still remember her good old London during the sunset. Oh, it was so beautiful! It was like the whole city was imersed into the fires of a forge oven, all the decaying metal and cement turning hotter and hotter, ready for the molding.

A gentle smile crept on her face as she reminded those sweet afternoons she would spend with her brother, her grandpa, or even Oliver, her ex-mate. Boy, did she missed them...! Her vivid copper eyes started to tear up, but the female quickly cleaned the excess of water on her jacket's sleeves. No time for this! No, not at all!!

She was about to return to her wandering when the sunlight hit sharply on her now sensitive eyes, scaring her at first and forcing her to hide her face from it. Last time she saw it reflect so ahrd was in the presence of metal.... Wait a second! The steampunk forced herself to look to where that beam was coming, but it was still to far away for her to tell what it was.

The woman started to wheel away towards the source of that reflection, only to find out her personal Heavens: an old, abandoned train station, the decaying wooden constructions still holding itself up somehow. The widest of grins shone marble teeth on the sunlight, her face lighting up enough with the smile alone. She rode calmly and slowly towards the front door, her eyes, ears and face spinning around and taking in all she could from the structures, the waiting benches, the old passport cabins, the rusting railroads, the way too tall grass growing everywhere and, finally, the great masterpiece of the whole scene. The old, magnificent steam train, so still and yet so alive in the woman's eyes.

She slowly climbed off the bike, leaving it perched over a random wall as she went with eager hands towards the machine, like a child running to meet with its mother. Her palms gently stroked the rusting matel with delicate hands, as if it would crumble down to pieces if she pressed to hard on it. Oh, how long haven't she read about the beauty and strenght of this brilliant, marvelous machine?! How long did she yearned to see it running, even if only once! Of course she knew it would never be possible, not with the resources still left. And yet, she couldn't help but to wish to brin this beautiful monster back to life...

Yes, this place is just perfect. No, this place was much more than just that! It was... "Wow...!"

Unfortunately, she couldn't come up with a good enough word for that. When that happened, she tended to let her feet go wild and let them describe her feelings. Happily enough, they already went for it, tapping and clapping on the cracked concrete floor quick as a flash, the sound echoing loudly on the whole place. As she worked to settle down all her things, making the whole proccess as organized and tidy as possible, she couldn't help but to allow her feet to keep going with the beat. While she placed everything in their proper place, getting in and out the train's wagons, she skipped around, dancing in pure joy.

So hold on tight and don't look back
