One or two PV members, please! Preferably someone Jefferson has not seen lately (has not had a thread with me recently). ^^

Perhaps he should have considered his forced leadership in AniWaya some sort of vacation from Phoenix Valley. After all, he had led the loonies there for at least two years after being handed the pack and promptly deserted with it in his control. Would he have been able to return to his life as a loner, now that he had developed some of the relationships he had? The brute told himself time after time that nothing had changed, that he was still the loner at heart he had began as, but that things had interrupted his one-man sojourning. He was not the representative of Phoenix Valley; he was not its whimsicalities, its strife-free life, its peace-loving nature or its freedom and beauty. He was none of those things — and yet they were the things the scarred, troubled, horrible man strove to protect.

He would return to the dust someday. Would he do so like Skoll, worth a proper funeral even years later, celebrated by Jantus and all that loved him? Or would he simply be forgotten?

No... there was nothing worth celebrating in Jefferson Soul. Nothing but a rapist's death and the white of his bones.

AniWaya was much less troubled and busy than Phoenix Valley, a rare circumstance for the brute to come by. Typically both were reclined and quiet in their entireties; for now, his trips back and forth between the two packs were on an every-other-day basis, as the Valley needed him now more than ever. AniWaya still had Dawali, in an emergency, even if he could not move about too much, and both the Kalona and AniWayans knew Jefferson would return as soon as he was able. When he returned to the Valley, the man took care of usual business with Tala, caught up with a few of the Divan members, and then was left to his own once more. He could have returned to AniWaya promptly, but with the setting sun, the male decided it was perhaps better to stay the night with the sick girl he loved.

A quiet stroll around the territory had brought him the vision of the snowstorm's destruction, even almost two months later. A number of cabins remained split and splintered every which way; the barn was still, well, smashed in on itself. He paused at the old Saunder's Mill, not far from the ranch and the villa where he would be staying; the poor old mill had never really served much purpose other than looking nice, and with most of the building now on the bank and in the river, it didn't quite serve a beautiful purpose anymore either. The sky lighting brilliant golds and reds over him, the man stood in the setting sunlight, the cold dusk winds blowing at his fur, and sighed. At least with the light of the sunset, the mill looked reclined and peaceful, the babbling brook breezing through nonchalantly. Even in its demise, the mill was still tranquil.

They would have to rebuild somehow.

Would I fit into that, if it's cool? Besides, looked lonely

The white male had noticed that the world was finally fighting back against the cold air and the left over snow. Over the last few days, there had been a slight temperature increase. Spring was now the time for nature to take control. Eventually, it would usher in the heat of summer. That would mean swimming and cooling recreation. However, for the white, he would wait and take pleasure in what would rise up in this spring.

He had walked around the pack to see what would need repair. From the several destroyed or damaged cabins and barn with a blown over roof, a lot of wood would be required to complete this task. Pendzez would see to it that he would lend his asisstance into the reconstruction. It may take a while, but with persistence and diligence, to task would be complete in no time.

He had wondered around for quite a while and thought to retire for home, via the Saunder's Mill. In a change in course, he started for his sanctuary. Xeris had been doing well in her recovery, being able to walk less and less painful. Carwyn had been ever so helpful, now he was considering in rank crescendo. This made the white male proud. He knew that eventually, that his last son would take his responsibilities to a new level. Pendzez could only imagine how far his son would go.

Just coming up to the old mill, his fiery orbs spotted a figure not too far off. He was quick to recognize who it was. Jefferson. He had seen little of the one-armed leader, but that was understandable. Jefferson had notified everyone that he was going to act as leader for AniWaya, til their leader got better. It must have been hard for him, to go back and forth between packs, being a leader of both. How he managed to cope with it was a mystery. However, if it was required then so be it.

The white approached closer to the green-eyed cyclops, til pausing some severl meters away. "Hello Jefferson."

Of course!

Tattered ear flicked back at the approaching sound more by reflex than by acknowledgment; it was not until the white male spoke that Jefferson broke from his thoughts and realized company had come upon him. The breeze blew at his hair and mane, brushing before the man's single green eye as he glanced quietly over his shoulder. It was strange, really — Pendzez and he both were the eldest members of the Valley, and the white male had a few days or a week more time in the pack than Jefferson, and yet the two still barely knew each other. The cyclops could acknowledge a silent, unspoken amount of trust between them; the Patriarch certainly knew the Zazkex man was dependable, but reliable? His sparseness on Valley land and his up-and-down wavering through the ranks said otherwise.

"Pendzez," he replied coolly, nodding before turning his gaze back to the rubble that had once been the old mill. For moments further he admired the sun's delight on the old, broken mill, and its beauty even in death. The mill had been useless a long time, of course. Would they have to pull the debris from the river to avoid congestion? For a few brief seconds, the Patriarch smirked his scars to himself, picturing in his mind the bumbling members of Phoenix Valley, tripping over each other in the river, doing a horrible job at actually effectively clearing the debris but having a damn good time doing it. He breathed in, then out. It was good to be home.

Empty sleeve flopping in the breeze, he spoke again, his tone exasperated. "How are we going to clean all this up, Pendzez?" A sigh. A rhetorical question, perhaps, but he shook his head defeatedly nonetheless.

(Its been forevers with me. Ill be the second.))

Angel had spent the entire day working on her stables and rounding up her horses. She had been gone so long that they had pretty much gone wild and it took a great deal of effort to round them up again. Once she had them tied she had begun working on the fence with them and gave them hay and a little grain to eat. Angel prayed they would not founder but knew the remedy to it if they did. They just wouldn't be very rideable afterwards. The lumber she had luckily would still work as a fence and part of a stable until she was able to make more logs for the rest of it. It was obvious that she had some repairs to do on her roof but since the weather was getting better it would be easier to fix in the drier days. Wiping the sweat from her brow she decided to head off in the general direction of the Old Mill to see if there was any spare lumber she could use to continue repairs on her home. She remembered the time that they all were trying to clean up the debris from the river and how it seemed like a good time with it with everyone tripping on each other, but it only meant that they were together as one helping each other out to keep the river from being congested. That was the most important thing. Moving swiftly in her second form she went through the trees to reach the area where the Old Mill once stood. It was all shock and awe when she took a second look at it from a distance and then she noticed Jefferson and Pendez nearby the Old Mill musing on its destruction and yet its beauty. Moving down the slight grassy hill she stood on she moved towards them and shifted to her two legged form and greeted them.

"I didn't think it was this bad when we started cleaning up the debris but looking at this its quite amazing the amount of damage this place took."
