Carwyn is gonna go official and take his place in the ranks.

This was it. This was the moment of truth. Carwyn felt ready and responsible for this. He was going to ask the leaders is he could have his chance in the ranks. He was grateful that Jefferson let him stayed on Genus the whole time. Now, he felt that he was ready to ascend. His father had ascended high once again. Now, it was the younger generation's turn to do the same. He felt a little nervous about approaching Jefferson, due to knowing what he was like, however, he swallowed it, and proceeded on.

He had wondered into the Villa where the Patriarch and the Savant had been staying at since the storm a while ago had blown over the barn roof. This where e would find them. With some courage he let of a howl to the leaders and waited if one was to answer it. One would turn up eventually. In his luperci form, he sat down on one of the nearby chairs that, luckily, wasn't blown away, not yet. From the looks of it, the humans had bolted it into the ground, so it was not to move.

The was asking himself many things in his mind. Is he going to say yes? Is he going to say no? What will I do? How will I do? These thoughts made him even more nervous, shaky nervous. This was short lived, as he shook the thoughts out of his head Calm down, Carwyn. Deep breath now. He obeyed himself and took a deep breath. Felt better already.

Spurred from the depths of the southern villa church by the howl, Jefferson stepped out into the April sun with much on his mind, as always, and such thoughts spiraled and whirled out of control as they always did. However, he knew a call for him when he heard it, and so Jefferson moved out into center of the villa, looking patiently for Carwyn. Considering how long the boy had been in the Valley without any progression in rank or whatnot, it would have been difficult for Jefferson to not know who he was. However, despite Carwyn's longevity as a member, the cyclops knew him the least out of his siblings Xion and Delwyn, who had come and gone at their own respective times but made an impact consequently on the Valley each time they stayed. Carwyn, however, had always... sort of blended into the scenery, to Jefferson.

"Carwyn," he said when the Zazkex boy fell into his sight. Two-legged and one-armed, the Patriarch drew closer, musing briefly on how much longer their meeting would keep him from returning to AniWaya, but chose not to share such thoughts. He couldn't recall Carwyn ever quite calling him before, thus the man considered it to be somewhat important. "What do you need?"

He was kicking his legs in anticipation as he looked over to to see that the Patriarch was approaching him. He began to ask himself the same questions, again and again, in a repeating cycle. He indeed, had been in this pack for a good long time. He was merely doing very little jobs, just like around the cabin stuff. However, he spoke to his parent about wanting to extend his responsibilities to the pack, He felt that he was ready and he didn't want to hang around home all the times.

When he had heard of the point of which he would address his intention of interrupting the Patriarch, the Zazkex boy stood up from the seat and stood before Jefferson, whom was a little towering above. With a deep breath, the boy spoke. "I'm sorry for taking your time, but I came to say that I wish to start ascending in the ranks, sir." He then stood looking at Jefferson, waiting for his reaction.

The Patriarch watched him calmly, analyzing as always every twitch and subtle movement in the Zazkex silently to himself. Excitement, anxiety, perhaps some fear, perhaps some forced confidence — Jefferson was apt at reading, but not apt at expressing what had been read or working with it. He was a blunt man; when one who feared him approached him, he was aware of their cowardice, but yet acted no differently towards them than he would one with full confidence. His interactions with Delwyn and Xion had been little different than that with Carwyn right then.

"Yeah? Sure," the brute shrugged. It was a start, hearing that Carwyn had finally gathered some responsibility or whatnot that enabled him to make himself useful around the pack. The cyclops had always been eager to see the last Zazkex child reach out and start working, and it seemed the patience was paying off. "Got anything in mind?"

Despite Carywn being a little nervous, he had no reason to fear the one-armed cyclops. He had heard from his father a few times that, apart from the gruffness and bluntness, Jefferson was not a bad guy. Yes, he may be scary, yet after sometime, he can be friendly. Not traditional friendliness, but friendliness none the less. Besides, Carwyn thought that Jefferson was, in someway, cool. Tough, but cool.

He was pleased to hear that Jefferson would give him a chance. This enough for the Zazkex boy. He would try not to let the one-armed leader down. When it came to what he was think of doing, this made him wonder. There were many neighboring packs in the area, however, he thought it to be difficult to gather information on other packs, having such a shy and timid demeanor. He could learn the pack area and code, even the members, yet again his demeanor would play some interference.

However, he thought of the other thing that he could possibly fit into. Hunting and learning different skills. He was, in a way, intrigued by hunting. As much as he loved little critters, food was necessary. Besides, learning different skills would be beneficial to him in his new pack life. "Hunting and different skills," he simply answered.

Gonna close this after your next post. Big Grin Really excited to see you playing Carwyn!

"Your mother's been one of our Fuehrers off and on for a long time," the cyclops remarked, a small smile lightening his dark, rigid features. He considered briefly the Valley without Xeris — which would be the case, had he himself not rescued her and nursed her scars after the barn collapsed in February — or Pendzez, especially Pendzez. The white male had been a piece of the Valley since days before Jefferson had even arrived; the brute hated to think of a Phoenix Valley without him, and it was a shame that somehow the two had never really gotten to become more acquainted, but Jefferson found the Zazkex man hard to find most of the time, and so the cyclops tended to stay out of his business.

"And your father's been around as long as I have," he continued, gaze shifting away and becoming lost in the distance. "He'd be a good mentor for skills and the pack's history, but... it might be best if you branch from the family for a while. You've been glued to them a little too long."

He scratched at his chin with scarred fingers, gaze becoming complacent. "I want you to find Noah," he said, a small, nearly devious smirk twisting his scars. A curt nod of approval, though he did not share what it was amusing him so or what he was plotting beneath. "Noah first. Work with him a while. He could use an apprentice, might whip him into shape." Another pause. "And Ookami after that. He's surprised me more than once now; you'll learn from him."

Nodding once more, the brute turned his eye to Carwyn. "Start with that, and we'll see how you're doing in a couple weeks."

Ok. Thanks LIN ^^

He politely listen to the one eyes Patriarch as he spoke about the boys parents. The way he described them, Carwyn had picked up the presence from Jefferson's voice that the cyclops was implying that the two had played a vital part in Phoenix Valley's development and timeline. Well, Carwyn wouldn't single out any of the other members, neither would the leader. Every wolf would play some part in development. Carwyn knew, that along the way, he would find out his role

Then came the names of two other wolves that Jefferson gave. Noah and Ookami. He was quick to imprint it into his memory for later references. The Patriarch continued on to describe them, even said to meet one before the other. Why he couldn't just randomly meet one and that was a mystery, but he didn't want to disobey the leader, so maybe, for starters, was to seek Noah first. Carwyn had already started wondering what he would learn from him.

That was the last of what Jefferson said. Now was to see how the boy would progress. "Yes, sir."
