Take Me Out to the Hunt

He felt it was time. It was sufficiently time, indeed. When he was finally free from his grounding and the first thing he did when his parents gave the OK was run outside and roll in the grass, just to get the spring fever out. But this was five days ago, and already rolling in the grass and chasing small game was becoming monotonous. He wanted to do something productive, which was not what you would usually hear from a young wolf at all.

Largely matured in body mass, Tony was now triple his puppy size and still growing. Toned muscle from his days playing--which was done enough to be classified as exercise--was obvious in the young boy, a dark coat of brown-black fur covering him from nose to tail. Ochre eyes were sharp, looking for something to do. Or, rather, someone that could help him find something to do. Ever since the snowstorm and his failure to help at the hunt at all, he'd been having the urges to hunt or train in fighting or something. Anything to get the itch out of his bones!
