Exploring the oasis

not much to say xD

Nickolas had taken it upon himself to explore more of the land, if anything else so he could know more about the surrounding areas. It had been only about two weeks after he had met the pup sisters Ayasha and Saphrina. To him they were easily the cutest pups in the entire pack, and they had been so easy to get along with. It had been a little awkward at first, given how Saphrina still had a little crush on him. To him it was harmless because they both knew that nothing was going to happen between them right now. He could not speak for himself in the future; he was not sure if he was going to find a mate or not. The walk from his territory had bee quite uneventful, since he had done his best to avoid other packs. He was not that familiar with the territories but his map he had shown him that he was still in neutral territory. Assured that he was safe he continued walking, happy that he had taken this time to go out and explore. Asides from knowing the areas he had come out to clear his mind from the recent grief that had been hounding his mind.

Before he had left he had seen fit to grab a medium sized leather satchel and had packed some basic stuff for his trip. The map had been a given, along with it some food and a basic first aid kit. He was not assuming that he would be hurt, but he would rather be safe than sorry. As he walked he took notice how everything around him seemed to turn into ash. The trees were burned and there was a noticeable lack of wild life. So rightfully named the ash lands was quite the depressing place to be. He wasted no time in trying to get out of them, at this rate he was about to turn around and head back home. Two days had passed and he was already home sick; missing Saphrina and Ayasha more and more. Still he carried on until he finally believed he was nearly out of the ash lands. Instead a very beautiful oasis greeted him. Full of lively trees, clean looking water and more animals than he had seen so far; this was easily one of the most breath taking spots he had never seen in Canada.

He yawned a little and opened his muzzle wide, the trip had finally taken its toll on his body. Figuring that no animal would give him trouble, seeing how he had only seen birds and small mammals. Looking around he found a log and figured that was as good as place as ever to rest. Taking off his satchel he lied down, back of his head resting against the log. It was not that comfortable and he wished he had taken a sleeping bag now. Sighing to himself he let his eyes close slowly, tail and ears drooping as well.
