Let the Rain Fall Down!

Ookami awoke to a gentle dripping on his nose. He was under his beautiful maple tree that was just now beginning to bud. He smiled as he looked up to find the sorce of the dripping. As another drop fell on his nose he sneezed. It was sprinkling! The tree had abosorbed most of the water and was slowly dripping it onto Ookami. He chuckled. Finally! Rain was probably one of Ookami's favorite things! He loved it. As he looked up at the clouds he could see that the sprinkle was only going to get heavier. The clouds were a dark gray that threatned lightning and thunder. He jumped up and trotted out from under the tree. He shook out his coat and howled, calling for someone.. anyone to come play. He hadn't been able to play since the snowstorm that had cost him weeks of 'resting.'

As he made his way down towards the ruins of the barn the clouds released all that they were holding. The pouring rain pelted Ookami. It weighed down his bushy coat so it was a sopping mess. He blinked as he shook his coat. It didn't do much, whatever water that had come off was instantly replaced by more. He laughed and barked and rolled around. The rain felt amazing against his skin. It felt like it was washing away all his troubles. He took a deep breath and took off at a run. He spotted a giant puddle ahead of him and picked up his speed. He lept towards it and came down with a gaint splash. The water splashed up over his head, nearling making him collapse under the weight. He laughed and continued to run. He slipped in a mud puddle, completely dirtying his coat. He shook most of it off but the rest was washed away. He laughed again, having fun. He stopped here and let out another howl just as a flash of lightning lit the now dark area. The thunder followed soon, booming and continuing on..

^.^ hello again

Her eyes were aluminated by a flash of lightenting, giving them an eery silver glow that turned back to blue as the light died quickly. She had heard the howl while hunting, choosing to ignore it at first but after hearing it again she decided to persue, letting the local wildlife live to fight another day. She had moved her smaller body underneath an overhang, choosing to observe before acting. The rain gave her the perfect advantage at being camoflauged, the sun was her enemy when it came to hiding, but the rain was a sweet lady, offering her protection over the wolfess. Rendall had been gone for what seemed ages, she had arrived back at her home only a day ago, finding much of her food supply run down. She didnt mind much and was glad it was spring again. The travel made her wearyso she took her time with the wolf she saw in the field near the barn.

Another crack of lightening lit up the sky above her and she could tell whom she had come accross "Ookami" Her words a small whisper. She moved off the overhang and down into the wet underbrush. Ren left her bow and arrows under the overhang and went to join her friend. The rain washed her body from all the mud and sticks and leaves until all that was left eas her silky black and white coat. Only her feet were brown from the mud she treaded on. Rendall was at the edge of the forest now, watching as the large male howled to her, his figure being sillouhetted by the lightening behind him. She closed her eyes and answered to him, her lighter howl blending musically with the deep thunder roaring all around her. She then ran up to the large male, nipping and playing with him in the rain and mud.

Hello! sorry my post is kinda short!(:

Ookami finally heard another howl. He cocked his head, he didn't recognize it at first, but as another flash of lightning lit his surroundings he spotted a familiar figure. Rendall! He smiled. It had been a long time since Ookami had seen the female. She had left the pack lands to do something. At the moment Ookami couldn't remember just what she left for. He shrugged, oh well. It didn't matter. All that mattered was that she was here now. As she ran up to Ookami he grinned, his tail wagging furiously. "Rendall! Your back." He smiled and greeted her with a gentle nudge of his nose on her cheek.

She wanted to play! He was glad. Playing in the rain was something he had never done before. He had always watched other pups playing in it but had never gotten up the courage to try to join them. They would just shun him and probably have the Alpha 'discipline' him. He pushed the thought away and ducked down to the ground. He stuck his butt in the air, his tail still wagging. He growled and leapt towards her, tackling her to the muddy ground. He lay on top of her, nipping her gently all over the place. He stopped for a second, "Sorry if you didn't want to get dirty." He laughed a little sheepishly. A boom of thunder made Ookami jump off of Rendall. He blushed feeling foolish that the thunder had scared him. He ran back towards her though, slipping and sliding in the mud. He laughed as he fell, mud covering his golden pelt, making it look like he was really a brown wolf.

It's alright

She laughed as he takled her, it was good to be home for a while. The boom of thunder that followed made her jump alittle as well as the male, she smiled at him as she sat up "It's alright Ookami, I was pretty dirty earlier so I dont mind, the rain will eventually wash it away." She looked over herself as her coat was covered with spots of mud, her white feet and face would be stained for a while, she didnt mind though, it was fun to play with her friend in the rain. She nipped at his nose alittle and struck the playful pose he pulled earlier, sticking her rear in the air and front paws down on the ground. Her gaze held a playful look as she nipped at him again and took off into the field surrounding them.

She trotted playfully around the field dodging left and right as she played with the large male. Ren knew that if she tried to run fully, he, being bigger and stronger tan her, would catch her eventually, so she stuck to quick short movements. In another flash of lightening sent her scurrying to a tree, she couldnt see the male but she was almost sure that he could see her. She crept around the back of the tree, looking carefully around for the male, keeping her gaze steady as adrenaline rushed through her viens. She was having the time of her life! Ookami was the best one to play with. She tried to continue to search around for him, hoping another flash of lightening would reveal him.

Ookami laughed as Rendall jumped at the thunder as well. When she said it was okay that he had made her dirty he smiled. Good! Now I can play with her without trying to not get her dirty! He smiled, Rendall was very fun to play with! He felt like a puppy again! The last time he had played like this with someone was with Roran, but his fun play time had quickly been dampened by the hurt and broken Jace. His spirits dampened at the thought of her but he quickly pushed away the thought. He wouldn't think of that right now. When he looked back at Rendall she made a playful snap at his nose. He laughed when she mimicked his pose and copied her before she took off.

She didn't go very fast and he watched her carefully, not wanting to loose sight of her. He laughed and lunged at her a couple times before she disappeared. The light around him wasn't that good but he was sure he had seen her duck behind a tree. He kept his eyes locked on the one he believed it was and took off at a very fast run towards it. When he was almost there he slipped in a gaint mud puddle that sent him sliding towards the tree. He smacked into it with a bang which sent him bursting into laughter. He stood up, and shook out his coat. He was sure that Ren had probably taken off once he had smacked into the tree, but he quitely peeked around the edge of it just to make sure.

sorry this took a while.

Rendall heard Ookami slipand giggled a little. She never realized he would have been such a nice person. She wished that she could have someone like him. Ren had first heard of Adonia and him looking to mate soon, though it sank her heart that yet another pair was going to be mated and another chance for her would be gone, she still felt very happy that the two shared something special. She only hoped to eventually (and hopefully soon) share something like that with someone.

She snapped out of her thoughts and peered around the tree to make sure the male was alright, but instead ended up greeting his tail. She snickered and nipped at it gently before taking back off into the meadow. This time though she slipped in the mud and slid her way down a small hill. She laughed as she came sliding into the big puddle that the male was in before. The wet dirt covered her from head to toe but she loved it. It had been a while since she had gotten dirt down in her undercoat.

She looked back at Ookami and yipped for him. She was having way too much fun to take it slow. She pranced around, nipping here and there, playing happily with her friend before she settled down. Around that time herself hiding by the tree again. Waiting for him to come looking for her so that she could pounce on him.

Ookami felt Rendall nip at his tail and he laughed happily. When he darted around the tree he saw she had already torn across the meadow. He howled to her. He laughed and barked a little. He watched as she slipped and he laughed. He started to slow down from his tearing run but didn't stop in time. He laughed as he splashed into the mud puddle, nearly running into Rendall. He fell into the puddle, his head going under. He came up laughing and coughing.

Ookami watched as she pranced around him. He laughed and nipped at her in various places. He chuckled and tore after her. He stopped a few feet from the tree that he had seen her go behind and waited a few seconds. He trotted up quietly and carefully and crept up to the other side of the tree. He pounced on her, being careful as to not hurt her or anything. He laughed and bit down gently on her scruff. He shook his head from side to side, genlty pulling her head back and forth.
