For Tala! Wc: 385

The half-tailed brute found himself on the borders of Phoenix Valley once more, what seemed like his favorite place to be during the day. However, Ty was often there because he was one of the few wolves still wanting to keep watch on the borders, unlike the other wolves, he was not so laid-back as to leave them unwatched. It was obvious that winter had truly ended at this point, which meant more things were moving around. From deer and elk, to bears and dangerous wolves, everyone was now beginning to move about, and Ty did not want another woman to be abused in his pack like Jace had been.

However, Ty found himself fairly tired today, his muscles were not as energized as they were before. He had been pushing himself to and from the pack out to the other territories that he had worn himself out. The new scars from his recent cuts were still tender, though the memories of the scuffles still fresh in the male's mind. Perhaps it was time for a small rest, maybe to recover some stamina and energize him for when he would have to act against a real emergency, there would be no use fighting if Ty had worn himself out waiting for one.

With a small yawn, the ruffian lumbered his way towards an open plain with a soft bed of grass that had begun to grow in. This was the end of the rainy season for Phoenix Valley, and the usual shady spots Ty would look for would be muddy and wet, not exactly the perfect place for a nap. Therefore, the open dry plains would have to do, though Ty really couldn't complain too much about the temperature of today. Warm, inviting, it was certainly a day to be out, and the orange wolf was happy to oblige. He crept his way out into the open, circling the plain a few times to try and find the comfiest location before dropping his body onto the ground. As the soft ground and silky grass supported him, Ty felt his eyelids slamming shut almost automatically, as if he hadn't slept in days. To be fair, he hadn't slept in days, but it was only when he laid down that he had begun to really feel it.

Silence was never something the dappled mess of ash these days ever seemed to really hear. Between conversations with the pack, tending to her new house guest and her children and the ever constant paranoid voice in her head telling her she was not safe.....silence was rare. She begged for it, prayed for it, wished, everything she could do she tried. At her home of the small stone church by the lake there was no such thing. The Savant had no choice but to seek such solitude in other areas. That meant closer to the borders. Closer to the creature that had violated her....the father of these puppies. The thought still choked her up. No, this was not how she wanted this. Tala had wanted to have children with her mate, with the man she loved, not some monster.

But what was she supposed to do? Tala simply tried to get over the fact, to move on with her life. She was trying but memories still hurt. They hurt a little bit less when she was alone. If she could think, then she could try and think her head around the bad in this. Please, she just needed one day of peace. The last month had been absolutely crazy. It wasn't about to change either, from the looks of it.

Tala found herself wandering, her feet carrying her to places she not only felt were secure, but peaceful in the new spring. The ground was soggy, the few patches of snow left were hard and jagged in effort to remain intact. Tala gazed around with bright golden eyes as her paws found a small field like patch of taller grasses and dirt based with still intact dirt and not mud. Good enough a place as any. Though it was peculiar, a scent on the air that was familiar yet unknown. A male she did not know of these land. Well, so much for alone. "I'm sorry, I didn't know this spot was taken." Her feminine rasp was quiet as she spoke to the orange male half hidden before her.
