Its fun to explore

It was a lovely day out, the sky was a great blue explance and there wasn't a cloud in sight. The tree's moved smoothly in a slow wind, and the sound of birds and insects was ever present. The sounds of small animals skittering about was an ever present backround noise just as the sound of the wind through the trees was.

Roran lay on his back in a small field of tall green grass. He squirmed about randomly, scratching his back with his tongue lolled out one side of his mouth. To him this was almost the prefect day, the sun shining, setting his white coat a glow, the sounds of birds, the clear blue sky. The only thing that was missing was a friend to play with.

He rolled to his feet and shook himself fiercly, dislodging a few strands of grass from his coat. He stretched and let out a contented bark of happiness. For the last few days he had been doing nothing but exploring, which was by far his favorite activity. He enjoyed making friends when he explored as well.

Ever since he had finally found a pack and a family, he had contented himself with exploring the surrounding country side. Though while exploring he would also do excersizes to make himself strong, whether it be dragging a large peice of wood for nearly a mile, and seeing how far and how fast he could run before collapsing of exaustion.

This fine day he had decided it was time to take a break and relax from his rigorous self induced work out regime. He shook a fly from his nose and began to walk, continueing to explore. He looked about, looking over his surroundings and the occasional sight of an animal speeding from one tree to another. He couldn't help but smile to himself, though he still wanted a friend.

He sat down under a tree and bit his leg to scratch for a moment before straightening once more. He threw his head back and let out a loud long howl. The message inside this howl was one of searching, looking for a new friend and someone to play with. It was not at all a sign of hostility.

Lyssa had spent the whole day exploring. She felt free, free from the months she spent cooped up with her insufferable pack. Now that she was a loner, she wasn't bound to anyone but herself, and she could do whatever she wanted to, whenever she wanted to. So now she decided to hunt.

The girl crouched under the shade of a tree, watching the plains, waiting for a deer or a rabbit to come. She heard the sound of a thousand hooves pounding the ground, and she scented a herd of deer. Now was the time.

Watching the herd go by, she leaped out from underneath the tree. Lyssa eyed a single, old female trailing a little behind the rest of the herd, and sprinted after her. When she was within reach, she jumped up onto the deer's back, finding its neck. She bit down hard. In seconds, the deer was dead, and the girl settled down to enjoy her meal.

She dragged what was left of the deer into a hollow in the ground. At this moment, she didn't care whether coyotes came and ate the rest of her catch or not. Girl heard a playful howl only about 100 meters away from her, and she tripped in surprise. Regaining her footing quickly, she headed towards the wound.

She wasn't expecting a giant boy just slightly older than her. Wherever she went, she had always been relatively large, but honestly, this male was gigantic. She hesitated only a moment before calling out, "Hello! I'm Lyssa..."

During the time between the howl and now, he had simply contented himself with sitting there. Though after a moment h rolled onto his back and began to squirm and scratch, his tongue lolled out again. He shook a fly from his nose as he now simply lay there on his back staring at things upside down. He rolled to his feet when he heard the loud noise of deer. He tensed to run after the noise, but shook his head and sat down, he wasn't in the mood for food.

He shook a few flies off of his coat and looked up at the sound f someone speaking. He was surprised to see a young female, barely any older than he was. He smiled and nodded his head to her out of habit. He noted that she was smaller than him and couldn't help but mentally compliment himself for his recent working out.

"Hello, my name is Roran Wolfe" He says with a broad smile, he was very excited to meet someone around his own age, the only wolves he had met lately were adults, and he didn't find them any fun. He continued to smile at her even as h shook a fly from his nose and barked at it.
