I'm going to backdate this to April 17! All post will be shorter after this. . . Word Count: 1131!

Shanta had just finished all the chores of a Elan Soquili. The sun had just set a few minutes ago, and a beautiful full moon had risen up and brightened the night. The moon was so beautiful and big, it seemed so close, yet so far. She needed to ride Buck soon, probably tomorrow, she had been neglecting her duties to attempt to break him, having only ridden him a handful of times. She went over to Belle's stall, the young mare looking up to her then coming over. Shanta scratched the mare on her forehead in a circular motion, this was Belle's favorite scratching spot. After a few more minutes of scratching, she made her way to Buck, "Hello there." she whispered to him. He wasn't exactly a young one, but the male was still only entering his Prime years. She reached her hand out, though she did not touch him, she waited for him to come to her, as you are supposed to when training a horse. She waited for a long while, until finally, he reached his nose a bit and rubbed on her hand. She smiled at the male, feeling a bit more upbeat at the thought of her ride with him tomorrow. She then left and checked on the young foal, she had been taking him out daily and running with him. He was, indeed, growing up, getting bigger and stronger each day, soon she would need to saddle him and do some groundwork, but not riding, he was too small. "Good night, little one."

Shanta exited the stables, the building was finally being put back together, though the process was slow, it was getting done. The moons bright light made it almost seem like day. She looked at her fur, her brown fur turning to a silvery brown. Shanta loved the look of it, it was so beautiful. She thought of her silvery blue eyes int his light, what might they look like? She wouldn't know anytime soon, but she did look at her tattoos. Her lotus was a brilliant magenta, shining brightly. Her crescent moons reflected the magnificent light of the full moon. Her tattoos and fur looked amazing, and she loved it. She looked around, it didn't look to dark, but to double check, she looked up, the sky was clear of clouds. She hesitated a second, thinking thoroughly through her plan, then she turned around. She felt so confident and good tonight, she had a feeling it would be a good night. She put down her satchel and picked up Buck's reins and headstall, she stopped for a second, then grabbed a saddle for the male. she went to his stall and he looked at her, his eyes showing a mix of emotions, confusion, excitement, fear, and so many more. She bowed her head slightly to show that she was not going to hurt him, then she approached him. Buck stood still as Shanta put on the headstall and reins, the saddle she lay on his back, he twitched a little, but left it there. She didn't strap it yet, she led the male out the back of the stables to a small round pen. She lay the saddle on the fence and led Buck in. She made sure she stepped in the pen first, showing her higher rank then him.

Shanta was doing some ground work with the male, he was on the outer part of the pen while she was in the middle. She raised one arm and lined up right behind his middle. He started to trot around the edge of the pen, watching everywhere and his ears going to different directions. He thought of her as the predator and he was the prey, he ran from her, speeding up when she sped up, slowing when she did. After making him go clockwise for about ten minutes, she turned, she dropped her left hand, got in front of him, and raised her right arm, Buck stopped and turned in a matter of seconds. Shanta kept him going for a few minutes, watching his eyes and ears. Finally, his attention was on her, she smiled in her victory. She turned back and showed him her shoulder, Buck slowed down, then she showed her back. After a few minutes hesitation, he approached Shanta, touching her gently with his nose. Shanta turned slowly and raised her hand to his face, petting him soothingly. Buck was breathing heavily, which was good, he would have less energy on their ride. She looked at the saddle then shook her head. She led Buck out of the small round pen and then mounted him, he shook a bit, tossed his head over to look at her, then relaxed. Shanta scratched his shoulder kindly and he snorted.

Shanta knew horses were very empathetic, so she cleared her mind. Instead of being worried about dying, she thought about the beautiful night and the gorgeous horse. She looked around and then heeled Buck, he reared up, Shanta braced herself with her thighs, Buck took off galloping. Shanta held onto the reins and Buck's mane, adrenaline rushed through her, she laughed and smiled. Buck seemed as if he was having a good time, too, he was running fast, faster than any other horse Shanta had ever ridden. Then Buck slowed down, she checked her surroundings, she was near a very calm creek. She had heard of it, Adagio Creek, though she had never really been there. Buck came to a stand still and Shanta patted him. She realized that something must be wrong. She slid off his back and led him with the reins. Pulling him to the water, she reached down and cupped some water, drinking it slowly. The cool water coursed through her body, sending cold shocks all over. She felt rejuvenated, she waited for Buck to drink, nodding to him, he slowly drank some water. Suddenly, Buck pulled on the reins and tried to lead Shanta away, she let him. She mounted, once again, onto his back and rode on. However, this time, he was jumpy and a lot harder to handle. Shanta held on and tried to get him to trot, he crow hopped and then took off at a full gallop.

Shanta held on as tight as she could, they got close to the village, it was within eyesight. Buck crow hopped again and Shanta almost lost her grip. She braced herself as he bucked and reared, keeping herself low to Buck and holding his mane. He crow hopped and then bucked, this time, Shanta fell off. Well, it was more like flew. . . She hit her head and cried out loudly. No words came to her, just whines and cries, until finally, she blacked out.

Ayasha was playing just outside the village. She was still within hearing distance but still alone. She was chasing after a butterfly. All while thinking about some of the changes that were going to happen within the next few months. She would be shifting in a few weeks as she was going to turn six months then. She would then need to figure out her path. And she would be a big sister soon, with Ralla being pregnant. Her mind was in turmoil.

When she heard a horse struggling and running. She looked up to see a horse coming towards her and rolled out of the way. She saw her friend Shanta on the horse. She came running when Shanta screamed and was thrown off the horse. By the time she got there, Shanta was unconscious. She spoke to her and gently nudged her in hopes of rousing Shanta. She called out to the tribe for help. Someone come help! Shanta was thrown off a horse and is unconscious. Please help! She then stayed next to her friend to wait for help, her own troubles forgotten for the time being.

There was something intensely freeing about walking about during the night hours, the world seemed to stand still and you could almost believe time itself had stopped completely. The Spanish man's eyes glowed in the moonlight, the white coloring like two lamps shining into the night. The man was of two minds of where to go on his nightly walk, he could patrol the borders keeping away from from the inhabitants of AniWaya like he had done for the last few weeks or he could make the effort to be social and get to know his new pack mates so that he could introduce his daughter, his Analise to them and actually have something to know about them. His ears twitched to and fro as darkness sounds echoed through the stillness.

With a wanting for change from his nomadic lifestyle the man set off towards the stables hoping to meet one of the others who looked after the horses and cattle and wondering if they could share experiences and stories. His daughter was safe in his brother, J'adore's home and was sleeping deeply surrounded by the world of her dreams. León smiled fondly as he thought about his daughter as he did almost constantly and meandered along his way humming to himself in one of the languages he knew. The first sign he had that his night was going to take a turn for the worse was a faint cry of fear and pain that reached his sensitive ears. The man picked up his pace, sprinting towards the sound at a fairly quick pace which coincidentally came from the direction of the stables.

As he neared the source he heard a child's voice calling out for help, at the same time a frantic whinny came from the stables, it was Faith. She always knew when he was close by and she was calling out for him to help the injured girl too, her voice carrying out into the night and León translated the Spanish low speech "Come quick! come quick! Lion of The Stars, There is a girl, she hurts, she is wounded, she bleeds, Come quickly!" and he responded to the concerned inky black mare, "I come! I come, Faith of The Stars, I move with haste, my breath is short and fast." The Stables came into view and he flew past them, a hurrying neigh following his heels like a puppy chasing its tail. His feet pounded at the night chilled ground and the brown male with the white eyes wishes he was as quick a runner as his brother.

He skidded to a halt next to the child who's voice he had heard crying for help and the woman who had been injured. Nearby he could hear the sounds of a horse and put two and two together, she had been riding and had fallen or been removed by the horse. León kneeled down next to the fallen female and tried to asses the damage done to her, keeping her spine and neck straight in case of vertebrae damage. He turned to the child who looked no older than his own daughter and spoke to her while still checking the injured,

"My name is León Austral, what is the female's name Chicka?" His worry caused his voice to become more accented than normal and he hoped the little she wolf could understand him fully.

León does. "León speaks." León thinks.

OOC: I PM'd Shanta and she said that we can skip her this round.

IC: She was still trying to get Shanta to wake when a male voice introduced himself and asked for Shanta's name. Her name is Shanta and she was thrown from a horse. Is she gonna be OK? She asked worriedly. Shanta was one of her friends and she didn't want anything bad to happen to her. She looked at Leon with big scared eyes.

But the first part of what he said sunk in and she got excited. Austral? Are you related to J'adore? Him being related to J'adore, her second favorite adult after her mother, would be really cool. He's really awesome. He's my second favorite adult after my mommy. Then she realized that he didn't know her name. I'm Ayasha.

As he pulled his hand against the downed woman's head it came away with red blood on it, wiping it quickly on the inside of his thigh trying to hide it from the young pup in case she was scared of blood, a quick check of the woman revealed a slowly bleeding cut on her head but otherwise there seemed to be no other damage although he was not a healer in any sense of the word. The pup named the woman as Shanta and herself as Ayasha. The pup's eyes were huge and scared as they looked up at him and he sighed,

" Si, I think so Ayasha, she is not too badly hurt but she may have a headache when she wakes up." León sat back on his haunches and looked at the little girl as she questioned his relationship to J'adore, the two had not spoken since León had stormed off after the discussion about the Italian males and Kailypso. He had felt bad since but he had refused to move on the subject matter, as far is he was concerned.

"He is my older brother. I have a daughter who is about your age too, if you would like to meet her some day." He was trying to keep her mind off of the woman, Shanta at the same time he rearranged the woman's position to one that was more comfortable and wished he had any medical supplies to hand, he looked to the pup, she had been here longer than he had although she was young she might know where things were stored

"Ayasha, do you know if there is any bandages or medical supplies in the stables?" He kept an eye on Shanta in case she should awaken and injure herself further than she was already.

I know. . . lateness :/ Word Count: 330!

Shanta's body had been twisted awkwardly until Leon had fixed it. She was finally coming around, the grogginess was leaving her head. Then the pain shot through her like a bullet, she whined lightly. With a lot of strength, she opened her eyes, blinking her eyes clear, though this hurt a little bit. She wasn't fully aware of her surroundings, she tried to sit up, but lay back down immediately. Her head felt like a hundred pounds, and her neck seemed like a twig. She heard two separate voices, one familiar and quite young, the other a thickly accented mature voice. "Ayasha?" Shanta groaned. Shanta realized someone was holding her head, she turned to face the figure. She squinted her eyes and just glimpsed the male. His figure was quite distorted, though she did see his eyes, glowing white. "Who are you?" she asked calmly. She grabbed her head and sat up slowly, she felt a warm fluid on the back of her head, instantly thinking it was her own blood. Pain coursed through her body, though it was beginning to fade.

Shanta's eyes fully cleared and she saw Ayasha's small body sitting near her, along with the white eyed male. She took in his appearance, lots of browns, just a bit darker than Shanta herself. "Where is Buck?" she panicked. She couldn't lose a horse, not now. 'you are such an idiot!' she yelled at herself in her head. She took a deep breath, glad there was no pain in her sides. She remembered Liliana telling her about Buck breaking a rib of hers. Shanta was in no danger, she knew it. She would recover within days and be ready to ride Buck then. . . if she found him. She had no doubt that he would come back, but the time he took to return, well that was up to him. Shanta sighed and got up, but she swayed on her feet and had no strength to stay up.

Ayasha saw the blood but wasn't too freaked out about it. She was more worried about her friend anyway. When Leon reassured her that Shanta would be fine, she didn't quite believe him but nodded all the same. About J'adore, she said, He's kinda like my uncle. And I'd like to met your daughter. She was about to answer the question about the supplies when Shanta stirred.

As she tried to sit up, Ayasha suggested, That might not be the best idea. When Shanta asked if it was her, she nodded and said, Yep! That's me. And this is Leon. He's J'adore's brother. About Buck, she assumed that that was the horse that threw her of himself. I don't know. I was more worried about you than the horse. As she tried to sit up, she got nervous. Shanta, I really don't think that's a good idea.

He nodded as the youngster spoke about his brother, a small smile gracing his muzzle that J'adore was proving to be such a good man, not that the chocolate and earth male had ever doubted he was not but it was good to have reassurance about such things every now and again, taking in a young as though she were of his own family was the mark of a good man in León's mind. His gaze shifted to the grounded female as she began to stir, pained whine making his ears prick and swing forwards. Lids opened to reveal silvery blue eyes and he smiled, observing the way her pupils expanded and shrunk, not concussed then, no serious brain damage.

She began to try to sit up and he was about to warn her when the young female did it for him, Ayasha's name came from the woman and then she turned to face him asking the question of who he was. Again before he could answer the child did for him and he chuckled bemusedly, "She is correct, I am León. Pity we could not meet under better circumstances." He moved back away from her and crouched down as she sat herself upright, now she was worried about the horse that had thrown her off. He pulled himself to his full height and called out to Faith in Spanish low speech, asking the female about Buck.

"Relax Senorita, your horse has returned himself to the stables and is as we speak snacking on his hay and feed." He watched her as she attempted to get to her feet, it was obvious however that she had no strength in her legs to keep herself upright so he ducked forwards and placed a steadying hand on her back, ready to catch her should she be appearing to fall over.

Disregarding Ayasha's suggestions, she stayed up. The dizzy feeling still lingered, but she fought against it. Shanta fell back onto Leon, trying to stabilize herself, but giving up and sitting down. Her head felt better, the pain easing away. She rubbed a bump on her head gently, wincing with pain. Shanta looked at the male once more, his eyes seemed to pierce into her soul, as bright as the moon itself. She tilted her head up to the moon this time, it was higher in the sky then when she last looked. As the male talked about meeting, she turned her attention back to him. "Yes, it is quite unfortunate that this is how we met." her voice said in a smooth accented voice. She was still too dazed to cover up that damn accent, though it was broken up and only off and on. She cussed under her breath, saying it so silently they couldn't have understood her. She mentally shook herself, seeing as she would get dizzy again if she did it physically. Scolding herself, she looked up at her companions. "Thank you for coming and helping."

After about five minutes of sitting, Shanta couldn't stand it. "I think I'm gonna go back to the Town Hall. I've had a long day." She said as she slowly got to her feet. She swayed a bit, but steadied herself quickly. She looked for the glowing light of the great fire, seeing it just behind her. She slowly walked in the direction of the village, her suave walk turning into a rather staggered sway. She lifted her hand to her head and rubbed her fingers on her forehead, massaging it as if it would get rid of the pain. She slowly started to make her way back, stumbling over rocks she couldn't see.

OOC: Sorry for keeping this held up. I thought it was someone else's turn.

Ayasha frowned at her advice being ignored. When Shanta couldn't stay up, she fought back the urge to say, 'told ya so.' But she did give the other female a look that said 'you should have listened to me.' At being thanked, she nodded but still frowned at Shanta.

As Shanta decided to go back to the Town Hall, she piped up. I'll go with you. She was staying there until she could shift and could live in the treehouse with her parents. It still amazed sometimes that she had a family. She was used to the Tribe raising her and staying with Dawali.

Ayasha stuck close to Shanta, glancing to see if Leon was coming too. It would be helpful if he did but she would understand if he chose not to.

ooc; Big Grin fun thread guys ^^ but i think its time Leon left.

The Austral man caught the dainty femme as she fell against him being unable to keep herself upright, with earthen hands that kept themselves firmly away from inappropriate areas of her body and letting go when he felt she could stay up under her own power and will. His lips twitched into a small smile as he saw the obvious wanting to say 'I told you so' on the face of Ayasha clearly the two had a sister type relationship, heck as far as he knew they might actually be sisters or half sisters or some kind of blood relationship. Sharp eyes watched intently for any other signs she might fall over again and intrigued eyebrow rose at hints of an accent foreign to him concealed within her voice. His head bobbed too at the thanks,

"No problemo." Silence descended over the trio and stretched out for many minutes, he began to loose the feeling in his toes, feet and ankles and wriggled the digits to try and recapture it. He was almost glad when Shanta broke the silence to attempt to stand up again, the man rising up with her and sighing with relief as his knee joined cracked and complained at so long spent idle, still he held hands wary in case she fell. He felt bad as he realised just how far along the night was and that Analise would be on her own waiting for him to get back so she could sleep. So as Ayasha made to follow her slightly concussed friend he stayed back, only following for a few steps.

"I'm afraid I must take my leave, my daughter will be wondering where I have got to. Goodbye Shanta. Ayasha." As much as he would like to watch over the injured girl his first duty was to his blood. León turned from the pair and began to make his way back towards his and Analise's home.
