Cambi, and then Keese .... dramaaaaahhh

Early spring, just beyond the melting of the winter snow, was one of her favorite times of the year. It was a breath of fresh air, a change in a direction that Mati felt and believed positive. It said that the world was reawakening, reminded them that they did not always have to live with cold winds to bring them bitterness and frozen toes and fingers. It was hope and Mati was happy to be traveling back to her brothers' home lands during the thaw.

The pair walked hand in hand, baskets in the free paws. They wish to bring presents and supplies to the new parents as well as indulge in some time with the children. The Church woman had not be able to shake the feelings that the birth of Haven and Princess' puppies had given her. For some time she had simply been confused by them, but then they faded and were just thoughts in the back of her mind. Still, she could not help but wonder if they would return to full strength when she saw the just about weaned pups.

Thankfully the trip was not a very long one, but she looked at the small clearing that opened up beyond a few dense trees and she could not help but tug on the arm of her mate. "Lets rest here a minute." Ever since the storm, when she had come face to face with the real chance of loosing her beloved, Mati had vowed to slow down and savor as many moments with Cambria as she could.

drama llama! little PP to sit them down. 300+

Spring was finally awakening and with it she hoped all the ills that had plagued Crimson Dreams, and specifically her family, would melt away with the winter snow. There was still grief in her heart for the loss of Denali and she worried deeply about her mother and Artemis. Savina had sunk into a terrible depression and Missa was in a state of denial. Even though she was the pack's Medicus, such emotional wounds were beyond her skill to heal. Every time she tried to comfort or talk to either one of them she just became tongue-tied and quiet. Even though she was grieving as well, she knew her own hurts were nothing compared to theirs. Cambria wished that she knew what to do, but was wholly at a loss.

When Mati had made the suggestion that they go visit Haven, Princess, and their pups, Cambria had seized upon the idea with enthusiasm. Anything that could help to take her mind off of the troubles at home as well as give her special time alone with her mate was eagerly welcomed by the Marino. It would be nice to see how the pups were faring, as well as their parents. The healer had put together some very basic first aid supplies for them to use in case the pups got cuts or scraped paws using her most mild and safe herbs. With the advent of spring surely the young little souls would be running all over the place and such things would likely come in handy.

It was both calming and comforting walking hand in hand with her mate, a serenity that only the Church fey could instill in her. When Mati tugged on her arm and suggested they take a short break in the clearing up ahead, Cambi smiled and nodded her head. "That sounds nice." They found a spot with soft new grass and settled themselves down on the ground. With a sigh Cambria leaned her head against Mati's shoulder, feeling totally at peace.

It was hard to slow the turning of the world, and often both the woman got caught up in the happenings of the pack and beyond. But they did not say no to any retreat back into the world that was only inhabited by the Marino and Church women. The two entered the small clearing, the grass just sprouting from the hard ground. She imagined that this would be teeming with flowers in the next few weeks if the weather was warm.

Mati moved to the ground gently, the feeling of her mate's body beside her giving a true sense of belonging and comfort. Though miles from home it was easy for her heart to be transported there, a simple touch a reminder that where ever Cambria was she was home.

They were quiet for a moment, her face turned to look at the calm and soft features of the darker furred fey. They breathed easily, and her lips were turned upwards into a sweet smile. Thoughts were sweet, rolling the happy feelings that were so easily brought up by such contentment. Her arm wrapped around the slim body for the other woman, pulling her just a bit closer. The moment was perfect, and Mati's free hand rose to lightly touched her chin and draw it upwards so she could steal a small brief kiss.

Thanks for being patient with me and sorry for some of the language, I continuously find the need for some vulgarity while writing for this douche.

Hands were shoved deep in the pockets of his trousers as Keese made his way down the worn path. Grumbling under his breath as he went his eyes never left the trail he followed; feet kicking bitterly at all the small and insignificant debris that had the misfortune of crossing his path. Where exactly it was taking him he didn't know, nor did he care. All that mattered was that it was taking him out of the court lands and away from that infuriating bitch. If just for awhile.

He had done everything he knew to work at softening up the gold and amber queen, yet she still held him at arms length. Not that he had expected that things would immediately be as they once were. He just hadn't expected her to be so stone cold to his advances either. Hell, he had even gone as far as to start sparring with her again. For it had often proved effective in the past at putting her in the mood, though she did not react to his roaming hands as he might have hoped. Their persistence in the act had eventually resulted in a blow to his 'delicates' that had left him doubled up and retching. Still he refused to give up. Refused to see the signs that were so blatantly before him. He would just have to start taking a different approach. If he could not woe her than he would simply have to rely on the alternatives. In the end, no matter what it took, he would have her.

He was vaguely aware of the scent marked border as his fuming march took him beyond it. Though it was apparent that his mood had lightened after leaving the cur stench behind him. His pace became more leisurely as his grumbling died down. He was still frustrated; unsure if he was simply being impatient or if there was a need to change his approach with Anann. He felt stumped and wished for something to take his mind of it. But what other purpose did he have? He would waste no time nor effort for that mongrel pack and laying about doing nothing only left his mind to fester. A distraction was what he needed.

There was not much in this barbaric place that intrigued Keese. The natural beauty of the northern landscape escaped him. Too accustomed to indulging in guilty pleasures of food, drink and of the flesh to find much pleasure in the simplest things. But eventually his nose would stumble across something of interest to the silvered male. The sweet, light scent of a female. Now that was worth investigating.

It didn't take long for him to track the scent to its source. It was none other than that beautiful little flower of a she-wolf he had run into before. Could his luck get any better? There was another female with her, larger and lighter in hue but still an attractive thing by her own right. They had settled in the grass and he watched them from a distance for a moment. Feeling a stirring in his core as he watched the large woman gently kiss his rare flower. Oh, this was too good. For now he had a chance of doubling his fun. At least that is how his mind saw it. Making his way to the clearing he entered from the far side, not wanting to startle them. "Pardon me, ladies. Mind if I join you." A sultry grin splitting his maw.

No worries! Vulgarity seems to fit Keese anyway XD Sorry it's short :x

It was a perfect moment in the midst of all the turmoil that the pack and her family had been through this winter. Spring was coming and with it, hope. Hope was something that all of the Dreamers could use after such hard times and she hoped that with the warming of the world around them, things would improve for the pack as a whole as well. Right now though her thoughts were focused upon this solitary time with the woman she loved. After coming so close to losing Mati in the storm, Cambria cherished every moment even more than she had before, if that were even possible. The warmth of her lover beside her was enough to remove even the slight chill from the air and she eagerly snuggled closer as Mati's arm wrapped around her slight form. The soft touch on her chin was all that was needed to bring their lips together. A blissful smile painted her chocolate muzzle and she felt completely at ease in the unfamiliar surroundings.

That illusion was quickly shattered with the entrance of another. The sound alerted her first, but when she saw that face and heard that voice a cold stone dropped into the Marino's stomach. Her oceanic eyes grew wide and her face spoke of barely contained panic. It was the man she had healed those moons ago who had then accosted her. The fear of that moment rapidly returned to her now and her hands gripped tightly at Mati, her whole body rigid—a sharp contrast to the peace of a moment before. She stared at the man, but no words left her tightly shut mouth. She was paralyzed, terrified by the grin upon his face.

The Spring would not slip away from them. No Mati would not allow such a precious and short time to pass by without their notice. She was gleeful at the chance to slow their travels down, to allow them a few brief seconds where there was no one else in the world but them. The Marino woman's body leaned against her own, the curve and velvet soft fur fitting perfectly and causing Mati to grow even more lost in the moment.

But such a perfect scene was delicate, and easily shattered with the sounds of another. It was his voice that made her look away, purple gaze widening and her defenses rising instinctively. A stranger, grizzled with ragged fur and made of grays and blacks. There was something wrong, the body that pressed against her side had grown stiff and Mati could smell the fear mixing with Cambi's normal naturally pleasant fragrance. A lone wolf, scars giving them both a peek into his past and a grin on his maw that spoke of a sinister nature then a friendly one.

The Church woman knew better then to trust any stranger, though wished that they had the protection of the pack lands to support her cause. I'm sorry sir, but you may not. She spoke, voice as cold as the Church fey could portray. She was not as cordial as her mate, and could turn sharp and protective in a second's passing.

The scent of fear was laced into the fragrance of his rare flower. Just as he had remembered it when she had fled from him her the first time. Slim and elegant, the scent of fear gave her a fragile quality, and he liked it. Though he did not want to entice it further. Not wanting her to flee from him again. For where was the fun in that? Well, he supposed there was a little, but what he had in mind would be much more satisfying. And so he was much further away than he desired when his approach halted. That arrogant and sultry smirk still pulling his lips in an upward curve.

It was the lighter hued woman that spoke, causing his face to fall in a stern frown. A tsking sound left his tongue as he shook his head. ”No need to be so hasty, my dear.” He rose his hands to show them both empty palms, speaking with a soft and soothing tone, trying to lure both women into a sense of security. ”I mean no harm, I only wish to enjoy the pleasurable company of you lovely ladies.” A husky quality leached into his voice about the time his tongue touched on the word pleasurable. Nearly licking his lips at the thoughts of the possibilities that passed through his filthy mind.

Sorry for my stupidface wait :|

The fact that he had stopped walking towards them should have put the fragile girl somewhat more at ease, but the terror had already placed a vice-firm grip on her and it showed no signs of relieving that pressure anytime soon—not with the monotone male in their midst. Thankfully where she cowered, her mate stood strong and denied his dangerous request with such frost as she had never heard in her beloved's voice. No visible movement was made, but Cambria did her best to try and slide behind the larger Church fey. She wanted to hide from that hungry and devouring gaze. The cocoa woman could remember the smell and feel of his breath on her face when he had tried to kiss her and it made her want to cry.

Against all reason she had hoped that Mati's cold, hard words would deter him, make him retreat from them. Of course words were not anything to stop someone like him, just as she had feared. He tried to placate them, showing he had no weapons and speaking soft and calm. Cambi was not fooled, just because he was unarmed there was still worlds of harm that he could do to them. Mati would know too, her lover was no fool. Vocal chords were still arrested with her fear but she managed to slowly shake her head back and forth, clinging to Mati with all the small strength her limbs possessed.

roarrrr-mati!

The Church woman remembered the story her mate had told her, and she remembered it well. This wolf matched his description from the grizzled gray fur to the yellow piercing eyes. Cambria clung to her, fingers digging in and making Mati even more on edge. He spoke, and it was acid to her ears. He said nothing truthful, not to the Dreamers. These were lies, and Mati knew it. Even if he did not approach them and his intentions were somehow true and honorable, he was not welcome anywhere near them. Everything on the tall woman's body said back off. Her eyes pierced into his skull, ears standing tall and forward, the fur on the back of her neck and between her shoulders bristles and rose to attention.

She thought of Cambi when her eyes narrowed and she spoke, We're not here to grant you any wishes. She didn't care if they ran, but that would only make him take chase. They could loose each other and one was fast then two. Mati stood her ground, hoping to force the loner back to where he came from. Leave us be, now. She said, tone bordering on a growl. She didn't care if she hurt his feelings, after scaring Cambria those weeks ago Mati could open the male's soft belly and watch his innards fall to the ground with a smile on her maw...

The signs were obvious and Keese was not stupid to the bronze woman's body language. But he was stubborn and like any egotistical man he refused to admit defeat as those purple eyes narrowed and bore through him. Such an interesting color, the silver male noted, just now taking notice as he returned her gaze, though his was far more placid. She was a feisty one, unlike the timid flower that hid behind her. Though not as fiercely so as Anann, but enough to bring the lighter toned woman to mind for a second. "Now it would hardly be gentlemanly of me to leave such damsels unattended. You never know who or what might be lurking about." He said as he casually made his way closer to the pair in a roundabout manner, circling slight to one side to find a tree to lean against. One hand tucked itself it the pocket of his trousers while the other ran through his slicked back hair. His gaze never leaving the forms of the women, but moving over their forms. Eyes lingered on the curves that pleased him. His eyes settled on the darker of the two, his face setting in a deep frown. "I am sorry I frightened you last time, my dear. Do you fear all men so? Do you not know of the pleasures a man could give you?" She was a true and rare beauty. So pure, so innocent and he longed, oh how he longed, to taint her.

She could feel the anger starting to boil within her mate. It was something both comforting and frightening. Never before had she seen Mati so angry and it made her fear for the Church wolf. She was much bigger and stronger than the Marino, but she worried that this man could easily overpower her as well. What if things came to physical blows? Cambria wouldn't be able to stand watching Mati get hurt on her account. The Medicus knew that her mate would protect her to her last breath, and that frightened her all the more. The girl trembled like a frightened bird that was caught between a cat's paws. There was no way that she could see this turning out good. Something bad would happen before they were free of this beast.

His words of gentlemanly concern sparked a tiny fire of anger within her. No, he was the sort of thing that they needed protection from! He was no gentleman, he was a snake in the grass. Her brothers and father were gentlemen, and Mati's brother. This grey man was nothing but a carnivore with an insatiable appetite. Cambria could see it clear as day now in those yellow eyes. Then he feigned forgiveness for what had happened the last time. She knew it was all a ruse. It was his final words that finally unshackled her tongue though. "N-NO!" It was true, she had never known the touch of a man, but nor did she want to. The no was in denial of him, and all his lies. In denial of everything he pretended to be. She saw through the mask and would not fall for his tricks.

he's such a sleaze

Her anger turned to disgust as he spoke. He was filthy, in mind and body. His hand ran through that slick mane as if it wasn't already plastered on to his head from lack of bathing. Mati Church had never wished to be further from another being in all her days, beside the pied wolf on her past or more fitting... her nightmares. Her anger did not wane, but stood beside the nauseous feeling that he gave her. They strengthened each other, and made her wish to attack him even greater.

His voice... it made her blood boil and her stomach turn. She couldn't understand why he was doing this, though she knew why he did. It pleased him to see the fear in their eyes and it stroked his ego to see them shake. How it made him feel this way was what Mati couldn't understand. How did anyone feed off the fear of another was impossible for her to comprehend.

Those words... The anger billowed in her chest and Mati took a single step closer with a fire blazing in her eyes. She had never heard any beast speak that way to her mate, and this was not the way she expected to react to it. She would have thought that she would be more collected, less hot headed but he was beneath her skin and it made her feel like she was being flayed. Do not speak to her like that. Mati hissed, an arm held stiff out to her side as to block him even more from Cambria.

She could not fight him, she knew that it would impossible for her to win. She was not an experienced fighter, and since she did not know his past or how to tell who was a warrior or not she had to give the male the benefit of the doubt and claim he could fight and do so well. But those words, they clawed at her pride, and all the love she held for her mate. They dishonored Cambi. Mati growled, low and deep. The instinctual warning would no doubt be heard by the fellow wolf.

What is your name wolf? So I may have my pack track you down. You will then know the pleasures of their teeth. Mati threatened, hiding behind the pack that made her strong and kept her safe. If he harmed them he would not live another moon. The daughter of their alpha stood behind her, as she was the daughter of the second in command. But what neither knew was that he had been hiding in the pack of Mati's brother. The Knight would have his head, before the Dreamers ripped his meat from his bones. They were not fierce creatures, unless it was revenge that fueled them.

*whistles innocently* I do have too much fun with him...although writing this seemed awkward so let me know if you want anything changed..

His lustful gaze was locked on the chocolate fem, even as she hid behind the other woman. Trembling like a lone leaf on a twig. Oh how he wanted to feel her under his touch once again. He would teach her not to fear him and see her tremble from the pleasure of his touch rather than the fear of his presence. In his disillusioned thoughts sneak would crave his touch as much as he craved to touch her by through time he was done with her.

His daydream was shattered and his sultry grin pulled tight in a frown. "It is nothing to be ashamed of." His gaze turned back to the bronze woman as she spoke, his eyes growing cold and annoyed as the fell upon her. Though it was her second comment that followed her low and menacing growl that brought him up from his lean against the rough trunk. Striding quickly and determinedly toward the woman.

An ivory hand reached for the large woman's arm, his grip firm as he pulled to what was sure to be uncomfortably close for her. His breath hot on her face as he spoke. "Name's Keese." He showed no fear at the threatening remark of her pack mates. "Why should I wait for the pleasures of their fangs when yours are right here, my dear." That sultry smirk pulling at the corners of the once deep set frown. Boldly, and perhaps too much so, he nipped at the woman's ear, a light non-threatening growl rolled through his throat. Boundaries were something to be tested; and pushed.

Cambria found some ladyballs! 300+

As Cambria had found her voice, the fire she felt burning in her mate's veins became too much for the Church wolfess. Mati stepped towards the intimidating man and a muted squeak came from the Marino's throat. Her arm extended, reached out to her love as if to pull her back, but just as quickly returned to her chest. She feared for Mati, on how he would react to her anger and threats, and yet was still too much of a mouse to do anything. The healer closed her eyes for a minute hoping that once she opened them again he would be gone and everything would be fine. Oh, how she wished she wasn't such a frightened little thing. It made her so easy to prey on. It made her need protection, but she didn't want Mati to get hurt being her protector. How could she ever live with that shame and pain? Mati shouldn't pay the price for her cowardice.

Swift movement caused her ears to prick forward and her eyes to reopen and what she saw made her heart freeze in her chest. The man moved forward and grabbed her mate, pulling her close to him. All the chocolate fey's trembling ceased and she stood frozen with wide eyes. No, this couldn't be happening. It should be her there, not the woman she loved. When he moved close and nipped at Mati's ear, something unexpected happened. While her mind was still locked in its cage of ice, her body moved forward swiftly and with purpose. She moved to the arm that held her lover, grabbed it with her own two hands, and then sunk her teeth into the muscled flesh. The metallic tang of blood soon filled her mouth, so unfamiliar. She healed wounds, she did not inflict them. Cambria was moving purely on instinct though, and the need to protect whom she loved from this grey beast.

PP, discussed before hand Smile

The woman was so heated that she welcomed the male's approach, seeking the confrontation and feeling the need to end this now. Her eyes widened slightly in preparation for a fight, and her lips flinched to bare her white teeth and a snarl rose in her throat. But when he touched her, Mati felt the revolting push of her stomach and an acidic taste at the back of her throat. She hadn't had a man touch her, not like this since Corvus. Not since she was a mere girl. She regretted everything she said, everything she had hoped. His breath was hot, and the scent burned her nose.

Mati moved to pull away, not to meet him head on and finish this battle of words with claws and fangs. Her arm was tense, and she pulled it back but he held her there. He was stronger, and it filled her with memories and with fear. She growled again, now in defense and a fearful warning and pulled again now with a back step in sync. Then, without warning she saw the figure of her mate move forward. Purple eyes widened to their full, her mouth fell agape as she watched Cambria put her teeth into the arm of the man.

Her movements were fueled by adrenalin and instinct, happening as if she stood outside herself. Mati felt like she watched from beyond the trio. She pulled back, the grip of the man weakened by her mate's teeth. She saw the rise of his other arm, claws extended and searching for flesh. Mati reached for Cambria, clutching onto any part of her chocolate fey and she pulled. Her throat was dry, her voice cracked as she tried to scream Cambi's name but no words formed. Mati turned, her paws moving without much of a second thought and she tried to run.

They needed to get away, it was the only clear thought that could be formed. They need to run, back to their sanctuary of Crimson Dream and not look back.

I apologize for this lameness

The man cried out as he felt the hot burn of fangs sinking into his flesh. His grip on the bronze woman forgotten as pain screamed in his mind and he thought only to beat of its creator. His hand rising to strike at the dark chocolate flower that had once seemed so frail and fragile now showed the thorns that laid hidden. The little bitch, he had only been playing with them. He had not harmed either of them, had he? Not stopping to consider the emotional and mental toll his words and action might have caused. Physically, he had not harmed them and nor had he intended to. But now that they had drawn first blood he had no qualms with striking back.

He was denied even that satisfaction though, as the beauty was pulled from his reach as they fled from him. It was a shame. The thought of pursuing them tempted his mind but even he knew better than that. Chasing after them would gain him nothing but more trouble and the true prize was obviously not on the table. A shame indeed.
