The cries of birds, flying freely in the sky pierced his ears, shattering his internal silence. Everywhere he went, he found that he was never truly alone; even now he was in the presence of birds. Before, he may have token comfort in the knowledge that wherever he is, he is never alone. Now, he wanted to be alone so badly; he wanted to mourn the loss of the one he swore to protect.

But he could not find the solitude he required to mourn and so his emotions were rotting inside, his emotions were slowly dying and he was turning back into the uncaring shell of a wolf he once was; even though he knew what was happening, he made no attempt to stop it. The possibility of not feeling once more sounded pleasant when his heart was in shreds.

Up ahead, he spotted a large rock with a cool shadow hanging behind it. Lowering himself to the soft sand, he rested within the casted shadow and closed his eyes.

Selene…

He’d lost her to nature; an unpredicted cave in. He’d been helpless to save her and yet he was still blaming himself for her death. But, unlike when he lost Jay, this time an eerie calm had settled upon him; disgustingly, he felt somewhat relived, knowing no further harm could come to her.

With her gone, he no longer had to worry if she was self harming, if she was in danger. Now, he just had to re-adjust to life without her. He’d believed he loved her and that he needed to protect her; but now he found himself questioning his own emotions and whether he had mistaken them for something else.

Guilt stabbed at him, adding to his building pain.

For some reason Ookami didn't really feel like returning to Phoenix Valley quite yet. He liked the feeling of not really having to worry about spotting Lucifer or hearing another painful scream from another victim. Jace and Tala had fallen into the grip of the black devil. A growl escaped his throat. What had they both done to deserve that? He shook his head angrily. Jace was in so much pain! And Tala? What had come of her? He hadn't seen her for a very long time. He growled again and broke out into a quicker pace, wanting to run away from the thoughts. But the more he went along the more he seemed to think about it.

He took deep breaths, trying to think of something, anything else. But a new thought came into his mind. What if Adonia feel into his grasp. The thought was shocking and it stopped him where he stood. Anger flooded his veins and coursed through them. The thought also saddened him though, he would never be able to forgive himself for not protecting her enough. He looked around himself, taking deep breaths. He spotted another wolf. He didn't look too good. He walked towards the male. "Are you okay sir?" He dipped his head nicely towards him. His scary angry thought finally seemed to subside. That would never happen to Adonia.. He wouldn't let it happen to her.

The sounds of birds filled his head. He smiled, it was such a lovely noise. It was so peaceful here that he couldn't think of anything really bad right now. But he had to find out what was wrong with this wolf. He looked troubled.. but also kind of relieved. He may have been mistaken though..

The approach of another caused his ears to perk up to attention, but his eyes remained closed, in hope that the other would turn away and ignore him; he wanted to blend into the stone he leant against and disappear. But, as usual, things didn’t go the way he wished; the other male, carrying the scent of Phoenix Valley approached and called out to him, reinforcing his point that one can never truly be alone when they want to be.

Sighing, he turned to look at the male before him, his eyes reflecting the lack of emotion within him; flat and uncaring. A sadistic grin spread to his lips, “Why is it that all of you lot from Phoenix Valley feel compelled to butt into other people’s business?” he snapped out the harsh words to the other. Funnily enough, he had encountered both Jace and Tala in a similar way as this and on another day, he may have been amused by the situation, but at the moment he was simply irrationally, irritated.

Rising up to stand upon two legs, he looked closely at the male, ice blue eyes scanning the other and assessing whether he was a threat or not; his hand reached for the pommel of his blade for reassurance, in case the one before him was a threat.

The male spoke with harsh words but Ookami didn't budge. "Perhaps because Phoenix Valley is a pack of caring wolves. When I see someone who looks troubled I make it a requirement to see if there is anything I can do to help them." His voice was strong but kind at the same time. He didn't back away from the male who stood as a two legged at the moment. He was taller than Ookami at the moment since he was in his Lupas form. Ookami followed the male's hand to a weapon and he took a small calm breath. He had been practicing his shifting so if need be he could shift quickly into his Optime form in about a minute. He didn't really see the wolf as a threat right now though. He just seemed bitter right now. Something was bothering him.

Ookami sat down on quietly. He wouldn't care if the wolf told him to get out of here. The male would have the knowledge that another wolf cared about him and when Ookami was down that was the best spirit riser he could want. Knowing that someone cared about him, even if it was a stranger always brightened his day. He had only met one really rude wolf before. And that was Lucifer, but did that devil count as rude? The wolf in front of him didn't necessarily look mean to him, but whatever was on his mind was causing him to be rather rude. When people were rude or mean, Ookami wasn't his happiest. He held in his feelings though and left a caring expression waver over his face. He wouldn't be mean, not yet.

WC: 240 - Hear Beyaz's call soon.. probably. Unless you want to drag out the conversation abit more?

In Character

A harsh, humourless laugh came from the dark Dasa “Sure you all are, or maybe you’re just all nosey” he taunted. While he knew that wasn’t the truth, he couldn’t bring himself to act friendly to the stranger; kindness was not a part of his nature, even on a good day.

When the other made himself comfortable and indicated that he had no intention to move, he found himself silently glaring at the other. After staring at the golden stranger for a moment, he sighed and gave up; if the strange male wanted to stick around, there wasn’t a lot he could do about it, aside from picking a fight… as tempting as that was, he wasn’t in the mood to fight. No, he wasn’t in the mood for anything.

“Seriously stubborn aren’t you?” he spoke to the other as he moved back to the rock; this time sitting upon it instead of hiding in it’s shadow. “Worrying about strangers… I’ll never understand canines like you. If another has a problem you leave them to it” he muttered, half to himself.

Close by, a few more bird calls assaulted his ears, causing him to grind his teeth together slightly in frustration. “Stupid things should shut the hell up” he complained. “Anyway, there ain’t a damn thing you or anyone else can do to help, so don’t concern yourself over me; it’s a waste of time and energy, I assure you”.

It's all good! whatever you want to do. sorry the post is short. muse fail!

Ookami let out a bitter chuckle, "You just don't what it is like for someone to care about you. So you try to say it's something else." Ookami wasn't usually one to provoke people but now that he didn't have to fear some wolf coming and attacking him he didn't care to stand up for himself. The male in front of him sat down upon the rocks and Ookami glanced up at him. Ookami sneered, "Some say stubborn.. I say persistant." He laughed and gave a small teasing smile. Ookami rolled his eyes, "Please... All I did was ask if you were okay. Why are you making such a big deal out of it."

Ookami felt slightly strange, he was annoyed. It wasn't a feeling he normally had. But the dark male had gotten on his last nerve. When the male complained Ookami's ears perked up. He went on talking about something else and Ookami cocked his head. His nice side was back again. "I don't know, sometimes talking about stuff helps?" He clamped his mouth shut, not wanting to get into another argument. However his offer stood.

“Hrmmm, maybe.” Arguing over the curious nature of another’s pack seemed pointless; the stranger would without a doubt stand by his pack regardless and so he decided to drop that part of the conversation and concentrate on what else was being said. “Stubborn, persistent, even annoying. They all mean the same at the end of the day” he replied, mimicking the others teasing smile.

When the golden one rolled his eyes, he frowned slightly, despite knowing that he had over reacted to the situation, he simply didn’t like it when strangers tried to pry into his personal business. “Ha, you can blame the last Phoenix Valley wolf that asked me ‘if I was okay’ why I reacted in such a way” he chuckled, recalling the time he had first memory he’d met Tala and she’d somehow manipulated him into telling her all his secrets. Before he knew it, he was shaking his head slightly and a smile tugging at his lips; no matter how much he tried, he couldn’t hate her for her actions at that time.

Idly, he vaguely waved a hand as if to say ‘never mind’. Once more, a series of ear piercing cries broke through the ear, causing the dark Dasa to flinch and utter a series of curses under his breath. When the cries stopped, he looked back to his golden companion. “If you hadn’t guessed already, I don’t do talking about ‘stuff’. Anyway, I’m sure those cries are coming from over there..” his sentence trailed of as he hopped of the rock and landed upon soft sand.

Moving past the stranger, he began to head in the direction of a cluster of rocks. Judging from how close the bird cries were, it was nearby and in the direction os those rocks; it didn’t take much brain power to deduce that that was where the bird was. When I get my hands on that pest…
