As the wind blew through the vast valley before her, the dark-faced wolfess walked through it, feeling the grass tingling her paws, a pleasant sensation. She enjoyed how the breeze played with her dark hair, which was continuously falling on her face. Her right hand reached the fringes and placed them back on their place for the tenth time. Lime green gazed the surroundings, absorbing every detail of the landscape. From her spot she could identify where the valley ended to turn into a deep forest, which was distinguishable by it's darker shade of green.

Suddenly a sensation of joy and homesickness overwhelmed Luna. Her gaze turned towards the cloudy sky. This was the first time that she had ever wandered on her own like that, without her guide, her companion. Without her mother. But she knew that she was in good hands in the cottage. Ursus would take care of her, and soon, they would start a new family, like her mother did with her. So the wanderer female didn't feel sorry for leaving her mother's side. No, she was joyful, because now she would be free to start a life on her own, she would have a family. But the sole mention of the word family in her mind brought her memories of her life as a pup. She had had a family which cared of her, protected her and looked after her.

At this point her thoughts had made her body stiff, and the wolfess made a pause on her walk to take a breath. Again the wind had made her hair cover her lively eyes. Again she fixed it so her field of vision was free. Why would she feel sad for this? she had chosen this path. Now she had to follow it. She had a strong belief that what makes a person are the decisions taken by it. And this was her decision. Maybe it was the correct one, maybe not. But it was hers, and nodoby would change that. A smile made it's way to the chestnut female's face. Yes, she would keep on. For her sake.
