april 29th! Weee! Feel free to include Noah if you’d like! 458.

After leaving Crimson Dreams the sack the fairy queen had carried from land to land was much less heavy, but still trinkets and bottles and a book bumped together as she walked. All the meetings thus far had gone well enough. Perhaps they could have gone better but none of them were anything to get discouraged over. Certainly her visits had done more good than harm, and Nayru felt accomplished. Soon enough she would come to her last stop and then be free to return to Dahlia de Mai. The thoughts of her own home reminded her how much she wished to rest, check on the pack and refill the brown bag that she brought with her from pack to pack. As much as the two toned woman looked forward to returning home, not having slept in her own home for the last three nights, she wasn’t quite finished with the task at hand and did not dwell long on thoughts of the flowered lands.

As well as all the other meetings had gone Nayru felt a slight hesitance at this one. With the three previous packs she had known at least one member or another who called that place home, so even if the leaders hadn’t been welcoming there was at least one friendly face she could call out to. Yet Cour des Miracles was a mystery to her, despite it’s close proximity to her own pack lands. Always she had known it was there, south of her own home, and once she had even led the male warrior Noss towards it’s borders. For all this and all her wanderings in her youth the Dahlian alpha had never ventured there herself. It was for this reason that this meeting was perhaps more important than the others. Establishing contact was the first step, and knowing this Nayru took a deep breath and banished any lingering doubt as neared the invisible boundary.

The day was still young, not even noon, when the cow patterned girl arrived there. Despite the freshness of the day Nayru felt worn down, the sky was overcast, nearly a sheet of white and the lack of sunshine did not help her mood. On two slender legs she stood and as before set her sack down at her feet. Centering herself for a moment Nayru breathed out all her uncertainty. When she lifted her head to the sky to let out the call that would summon the nameless leader of Cour des Miracles her voice was confident and controlled. The soft, stoic expression on her face was calm and collected, and it was with this focused awareness, this certainty that she waited for the sound of foot falls or an answering call to reach her ears.

I am waaay sorry for the wait! 300+

The secui dog mutt moved with purpose to the source of the call, a voice he did not recognize that summoned for him directly. Vigilante had only met Desiree days prior and had granted her permission to spend time in the Miracles lands, but he did not know what the reason for this call would be. It was not common that he was called for specifically, and when he was, he usually recognized the voice that had sounded the call. It was curious, indeed, that he would be called today, and so he moved quickly.

Despite the time that had passed since the attack from the ebony stranger courtesy of his nephew, the King had been as vigilant as ever, his senses on overdrive. He would not allow anything bad to happen to his family or his pack if he could do anything to stop it, and with the number of young puppies in the pack (three of them particularly important to him, his sons and his grandson), he could never be too careful.

As the caramel-colored dog mutt approached the stranger, he studied her intently. She seemed far from threatening, but he knew that looks could be deceiving. Her coloring was interesting and in a pattern he had never seen before, and though he hid the cringe it caused, he recognized her scent as the one that had once clung to Lolita's fur. The pack had an interesting history with Dahlia de Mai, though most of it was through members who no longer called this place their home. The King did not think they had ever been on bad terms, though.

"Hello," he greeted her politely. "I am Vigilante Haskel, King of Cour des Miracles. Is there something I can help you with?" The words were spoken with the usual tone of formality that he had adopted long ago, his stance strong, though not overbearingly dominant.

^^ We can make this short and sweet XD 311

Ears swiveled to better catch the sound of footfalls as someone approached. Her called had been heard and responded to promptly and so the woman was still very much taking in her surroundings when the man approached her. The man who came to greet her had an interesting appearance, warm browns spreading out on his coat in a way that suggested a domestic heritage. Cherry eyes took him in and quickly dipped her head low in greeting, her gentle voice answering his own that was volumes louder than her soft pitch. “Good day Vigilante Haskel. I am Nayru of Dahlia de Mai.” She lifted her bowed head and breathed in. So far all the other meetings had been fine, if one overlooked Ghita’s less than warm welcome, surely there was no reason for this one to be any different.

“I’ve come merely to inform you, as leader of this pack, that I now reside as Alpha in Dahlia de Mai.” It was important to know the faces of authority, and so it was not only for Nayru to reveal her’s as the head of Dahlia de Mai but to look upon those that led the other packs. Here was one she had never seen before and the young girl memorized the man’s face as she spoke. “And also to offer you some gifts on behalf of the good will of Dahlia, if I may?” Always she asked permission to disperse the gifts she carried from pack to pack in the brown sack. The serene girl didn’t wish to impose herself, and so she simply gave them the option of sending her away right then. No one had yet, and this man seemed kind enough to follow the ways of the ones before him, and so patiently and with a gentle grin she waited for him to inquire to what she brought.

Jade eyes studied her as she studied him and began her short speech, taking note of the way she seemed to be careful to hold herself in the least threatening manner possible, submitting even despite that she was the leader of a nearby pack. The King liked that, if only because he would certainly do the same. Resepct was an important value to have, in his mind, and he was glad to see it was a trait that was being carried by someone so much younger than he in a similar position. Seeing her, so young it seemed, made him feel old indeed. He was not as old as some, but he was beyond his years. Life had made him age early and he was tired.

He had not known that the leadership of Dahlia de Mai had changed once again—or had he even known who the last leader was? It was difficult to keep track when they did not come in contact frequently. "I appreciate the visit and the kindness, Nayru," he spoke. "The gifts, as well, though I have nothing to reciprocate with at the moment," he admitted. He certainly would not have known what to give her in return, though he would make it a point to remember to make a trip to Dahlia at some point with a gift of his own. "Is your pack well?" he inquired politely, though he was also a bit curious to know what would have prompted a change in leadership.
