May 3rd. Read Only. wc 524

They were not to be ignored. Nayru had gone from land to land, pack to pack, sprinkling and showering them with gifts. On one hand she had no reason to believe Inferni had any use for her small tokens, and on the other she did not wish to exclude them in her diplomacy mission. Their past, that of Dahlia de Mai and Inferni together, was both dark and distasteful, and surely still left a sour taste on the tongues of many. Those who had lived through it in Dahlia de Mai were mostly gone, but those in Inferni still persisted, and past wrongs were not easily forgotten. Nayru knew this.

Still she moved along, never breaking stride, never showing any fear if fear dwelt within her in the dead of night. On two long legs the fairy body was held erect, as two ivory feet took her closer and closer to the lands that so many had told her to avoid, Dahlians and Inferni residents alike. Razekiel came to mind, briefly, and she wondered if the kind heard man still lived there. So long ago had that memory been formed it was rarely recalled, but the sad expression on his face as he described his own home stuck with her. Carrying his sorrow in her mind's eyes she pushed on.

Yet unlike the others she did not settle the bag down, did not throw back her tiny head on a slender neck. If eyes, ears or nose detected her in the cool nighttime air, which surely they would sooner or later, the fairy woman acted so quickly that they could not, or at least would not, trail her. It wouldn't be worth their time. Pulling out the remaining items in her sack she set them carefully a few feet from the borders, daring not to approach any closer for fear of offending the coyote clan.

The wine in the large bottle sloshed as she set it on the ground, the ruby liquid glinting in the moonlight. Around its neck she placed the leather necklace she had crafted, the precious garnet stone it's only adornment aside from the decorative knots that followed the length of the fabric. Finally she lay the small knife down, polished clean from its less than perfect state she had found it in. To give the enemy a weapon, surely that said something? It was a fine weapon, one that anyone would be glad to stumble across and yet Nayru knew its home was here, for whatever purpose they put it to. Finally she placed the note beneath the knife, so that if the wind picked up it would not be blown away and its message lost.

The note read: "Dahlia de Mai is under new leadership. The legacy of the Soul line has been eradicated from the leader ranks. "

She read it once more, knowing little else had to be said because if Inferni cared at all for the going ons of Dahlia de Mai, they did not care that much. Turning on her feet, the woman moved away, heading in the opposite direction as quickly as she had come.
