it will be very clear when Amaterasu takes over/627

Being a lone wolf was slowly taking a toll on Amy; both physically and emotionally. Her slender form had started to look even more starved for nutrition than usual. Sure she had been able to scrounge up some scraps of meat but not nearly enough to satisfy her stomach of its needs. Her black tank top and skirt felt even looser than usual against her snow white fur; and sooner or later she knew that she would have to eat. Her emotions were charged and she was nearly on the verge of tears at this point; she was a social wolf that needed to be around others. Whenever she was alone the painful memory of losing her family surfaced and she felt she was going to relieve that horrible night all over again. Wandering all around with what little supplies she had left; though she has no idea where she got them in the first place. A leather satchel of food, knife, some basic medical items and a tent were all she had to her name. All the walking had taken its effect and she figured that it was time to take a break and rest. Sadly she had no idea where she was safe.

Without a decent map and any sense of direction in her head she just kept walking day in and day out; hoping to find someone nice that would help her out. Soon she found herself in a very tree dense forest; all the trees had beautiful red and orange colored leaves. Overlooking the obvious fact that she was lost she had to admit that it was a quite lovely looking forest. The sound of fallen leaves crunching underneath her back paws. The alluring smell of leaves and sap hitting her sensitive nostrils that made her smile just a little bit. If she had to get lost she was actually glad she had gotten lost in such a lovely place as this. Her bushy tail wagged around a little as she just walked around in circles; wondering where the best part to set up camp would be. Finally she came across an old and clearly abandoned building; though she was not brave enough to even dare enter it. Instead she just settled for exploring the outside in the hopes that she would find something useful. Though only five minutes of walking around told her that she was not in luck whatsoever; she sighed and decided that this was as good a place as any to set up her tent for the night.

Not sure where the best spot was she walked a little bit past the large building; finding a little denser collection of trees. Hoping that no one would bother her she knew that this was probably the best place she was going to find. She shrugged the tent off her back and let it fall to the ground; and so begun the process of setting it up. It only took her a few minutes since she was so used to pitching it up; and in no time it was ready to sleep in. Sighing to herself she ducked down and zipped it up behind her; glad that she had some security now. She tugged off her skirt and tank top; leaving her as naked she could get as a wolf. Granted she had a coat of fur covering her up still; her body was exposed but that was the least of her worries. She curled up and closed her eyes; feeling tears starting to fall down her cheek. The pain was rushing back to her and she hoped no one was around to hear her cry; mourning the loss of her family was never a pleasant sight for anyone to witness.

I'm not sure what time of day it is in the thread, but maybe we can assume it's in the evening hours to make Helios falling into the tent a little more realistic? XD And since you've backdated this, I'll go ahead and backdate Helios to where he's exploring the area and hasn't yet reached Anathema.

Helios D'Angelo had been nothing more than fur and bone from his ventures as a lone wolf. It had been many, many moons since he was last part of a successful pack hunt. It had been many days and weeks since he last interacted with a fully functional pack and rank structure. Helios was his own soldier, his only liability as a rogue. His wanderings had been aimless for the longest time up until the faded scent of his mother turned up on deadened bark of the Eastern lands. It appeared to be a Great Fire swept through the area, engulfing what was left in its path. For some reason, the scent upon the eroded bark lingered after the inferno. It was a scent Helios could never forget, never in a hundred years. He had never really interacted with Kaelyn, his mother, but somewhere in his subconscious his instinct knew it had been her scent, and she had been here before.

The dark D'Angelo ventured westbound, intent on a mission to find answers as to what happened to the area consumed by flames. Most importantly, to find answers to the whereabouts of his sister, Selene, and why his mother's scent was there in the first place. Selene's scent didn't miraculously appear like Kaelyn's did, but something told him he was finally on the right path to something much bigger than he could imagine. With the leaves crunching beneath his boots, Helios marched forth. There was no particular path the dark Luperci followed; all he knew was to venture as far bound West as he could until he ran into some sort of civilization that knew about the area well.

Paying no mind to the ambience of the forest and its beauty with the five senses, all of that was irrelevant to him on his conquest. All his senses could be thinking about was the scent of Kaelyn, his nose still trying to capture her faded essence. Since Helios paid no mind to the scenery before and around him (and his mind racing with the puzzlement of stumbling upon Kaelyn's scent out in these parts), it would be a given he wouldn't pay mind to the tent he suddenly barged into. Nearly tripping over his own boots, Helios strode right into the makeshift tent; the shock of running into an object he clearly didn't pay attention to in his path making him fall right into the structure altogether, possibly landing upon the inhabitant that was within. "Shit!" Helios cursed, stumbling and falling right upon the structure.

xD works for me /566 words

Amy had so much on her mind at the moment; she did not know how she could handle it all. Unknowing to her Amaterasu was willing to take over at any second in case she could not handle it anymore. Though she stayed subdued for the time being, hoping that she managed to stay strong. She might exist to protect the girl, but she had to stand on her two feet every now and then. She was sniffling a little, as she remained curled up on the floor of the tent, wondering what she was going to do now. The outside world was dead to her at the moment; knowing she had no one to rely on and never would. There were days she wished that pack of males had killed her too, if she had known that she was cursed to be alone now. Time had passed quickly and it was already getting dark, at the very least she could try and fall asleep soon. She rolled over and remained on her side, there was no need to lie on her stomach or back at this point. At the very least it sounded peaceful outside and the leaves would be a good indication if someone were approaching her tent.

The minutes passed and she finally felt cried out for the moment, now she was tired and really ready for a nice long sleep. She should have heard the sound of leaves crunching but she was so out of it. It would have been hard to see any shadow given how the sun was nearly down. Amy was nearly asleep when she was rudely awoken with the feeling of something crashing in down on her and her tent. She yelped in surprise as she scrambled, quickly grabbing her clothes and dressing herself in a rush. Whatever had fallen was obviously male; she had never seen a female that big in her life. She did her best to get out of the tent, which she found a little difficult; but finally she managed to undo the zipper and climbed out. She was more concerned with the thing that had fallen on her tent, since after all she was okay and her tent looked undamaged. Her eyes quickly adjusted to the lack of strong light and noticed that the thing had in fact been a male wolf. “Oh, are you okay?” she asked in a soft voice as she went over to him.

Having no idea if this male was mean or nice but if he was hurt she would feel so bad. Trying her best not to trip she went over to him, knowing full well that he was big and there would be no way that she would be able to lift him up on her own. Amaterasu was of course on guard since it was clear that one of them had too be just in case something went sour during this moment. She noticed his black fur and she could not help admire it; of course Amaterasu was not so focused on his fur color but his nice looking build. She had to do her best to keep from taking over right now, it was moments like these she felt cheap but she enjoyed getting her thrills. But for now Amy was in charge but that would change soon depending on how this played out.

Scraping his knees pretty hard when the D'Angelo stumbled and fell on impact, from beneath him there was a squeal of surprise as something shuffled from amid the cloth of the makeshift tent. Fortunately Helios didn't land directly onto whoever was inhabiting the tent, but he was left in a tangled mess in the fabric as he attempted to gain his bearings once again and stand back up. It was proving to be easier said than done, for sharp pain shot through both knees and Helios couldn't seem to find which way was up in the fabric combined with the darkness of the evening. Who the hell even sleeps in a tent anymore in a place like this? Helios couldn't help but consistently curse inwardly, toward his foolishness and also of the individual who decided to put a tent up in the middle of nowhere for a traveler to stumble upon. It wasn't until a soft voice then inquired if he was okay, and nearly ripping himself from the confusing folds of the tent, shook his head and narrowed his jade eyes to the one who spoke.

Drawing close to him, it was enough for him to see her distinct outline and features. Her pelt was a stunning stark white that stuck out like a sore thumb in the darkness, almost making her seem poltergeist like in color. Her fur texture appeared to be downy and thick, accentuated in areas where it would be appropriate for a feminine style. Her figure was curvaceous at best; slimmed hips and protruding chest, more so than the average female would be. Helios was quite fickle with the female species, but this one seemed to be pretty, very pretty. From aggravated and inwardly cursing Helios suddenly turned frustrated at himself for doing this to such an attractive lady like this in the middle of nowhere. Come to think of it, what was she doing in a tent in the middle of nowhere? The questioned burned in the back of his mind, but he lifted a hand to scratch at the back of his head some, and push away the fringed bangs that often veiled his right eye. Blinking some, Helios attempted to regain focus. "Er, I'm fine. A little scraped up, but fine. Are you alright?" Helios inquired to her, his jade eyes observing and roving her figure a little more so for any tell-tale signs of scratches or distress. There was a snort blown out of his snout, getting to his feet and kicking the tangled remnants of the tent aside. "Um, I'm sorry about running into your tent. What are you doing out here by yourself anyway?" Helios said with a tilt of his head, seeing as how this didn't seem like some camping trip for her with s'mores and a fire to sing kumbaya to on hand.

it will be very clear when Amaterasu takes over/616

Amy felt really bad for the male wolf that had stumbled upon her and her tent; Amaterasu did not feel as bad. It was not like it was that hard to see in the dark; and as a wolf he really had no excuse in the first place. She was surprised that he was not cursing at her from the moment he had stumbled upon her. Clothes tugged back on in a rush she climbed out of the tent as the male wolf tried to fight his way out as well. She naturally asked if he was okay since it had been her fault in the first place. She should have known better than to put her tent in the middle of the forest but she did not know this was some sort of path. Finally she got a good look at him and he was kind of cute; this coming from the girl that never even liked hearing about sex. Amaterasu however being the whore she is; found the male to be quite handsome. She was a sucker for wolves with dark colored fur; it contrasted hers so nicely that it was alluring. She felt his eyes on her and she had to admit that it felt strange.

Her inner self kept taking notice of him, hoping that underneath his fur was lined with nicely toned muscles. His black fur was so very exotic to her that she really wanted to take over right now and have some fun. She approached him and just kept her arms to her sides casually; trying not to make any moments that might potentially upset him. A moment of silence fell between them and she had no idea what to say next. She just sort of casually watched him to see what he would do next; call her an idiot and just storm off and leave her to fix up her tent again. When he said he had been scraped up a little she felt even worse; she just wanted to camp and be alone instead of accidentally hurting someone. It was really hard to tell with his fur but she believed him none the less. Looking down and running her paws over her fur; she gave herself a quick inspection and noticed that she did not have a scratch on her. She nodded a little and looked up at him again; not really sure what to say. “Yeah… I am fine” she said softly as she just looked at her tent again.

She thought about that question for a moment and she really did not know what she was doing out of here in the first place. “I don’t know really, it is not like I have any place to stay regardless” she said softly as she looked down at the ground. She never liked to admit that she was a loner; it just made her more vulnerable than she already was. Not to mention that she did not have anyone to protect her; knowing her luck this wolf just wanted to have his way with her and then leave. She held her arms a little and just rubbed them a little as she started to get nervous again. Memories of those maniacal wolves still haunted her and always made her live in constant fear that she would run into them. Not knowing that she had been the one that killed them in cold blood. Part of her wanted to run as fast as she could and hope that he did not chase her. Amaterasu wanted to stay and see what he did next; clearly this was not the first time that they conflicted on what to do.

Sure thing!

In the back of his mind, there was a small conscious wondering how old she was. She looked awfully young, seeing as how her looks and physique touched not even but a year (or what he assumed of her to be). An awkward silence reigned over their encounter briefly, as jade eyes kept a narrowed glance upon her from the veil of his side bangs. It appeared as if she was apprehensive, uncertain as to how to react or what to say. Helios was in a similar situation, and had to admit this was more than a tad bit inconvenient. The scrapes suffered from the run in stung on his legs, but such scrapes were bearable, just annoying. As she ran her paws over her fur, his jade eyes couldn't help but follow the motion, scanning her body as she physically scanned her own. While there was something strangely feeling guilty for following her paws like his eyes were roving her figure, Helios remained stoic and still as stone without a word. Softly announcing she was alright and untouched, Helios blew a gentle sigh from his nostrils. Cursing himself internally once again for being an unobserving idiot, at least she came out of his stumble unharmed. One hand lifted to scratch the back of his ear, tousling his already haphazard hair. It was his own gesture of slight nervousness. "Good. I just… I… I don't know what to say. I'm sorry." Helios apologized once again, glancing over to the tent in crumbled ruins, and feeling an even more greater burden of guilt upon him.

She then spoke about how she didn't have a place to stay. Scanning over the remnants of the broken tent and anything else that caught his eye in the area, it appeared the shoddy tent was all she could work with. As if I couldn't feel any worse than I do now… good job, asshole. Fixating his gaze back upon her, there was something about her that was naive, perhaps a little too innocent. Her arms were held, an edgy gesture coming over her. While Helios was certainly not impressive or muscular in size to be any real intimidation to anyone, he could imagine how a lone female out in the middle of nowhere could feel in the presence of a male randomly scaring her half to death in the middle of the night. He might have not been bursting with muscle, but he was sure as hell towering and tall, which could possibly be intimidating enough. There was something that didn't make sense, however. Along with her feminine scent, he thought he detected something else of a pack affiliation, but was unsure. "You don't have a pack to run with?" Helios announced then, further inquiring about the other scent that lingered on her. Well, she looked like she was well off on her own? It might have been a stupid question, but the only response he could say.

sorry for the confusing text color change xD, but she is Amy until the last paragraph/ 500 words

Amy was not really sure how to handle this situation; she had not interacted with wolves other than her siblings. She felt his eyes on her and it was really starting to make her feel uncomfortable. Her paws stopped rubbing over her fur and she kept standing uneasily in front of the intimidating looking male. She felt really bad for him since this was all her fault; she had been the stupid one camping in the middle of the forest. Of course she had not been sure if this was a trail or not. He was being sort of creepy with the ways his eyes had followed her paws; hoping that he would not try to take advantage of her. When his paw moved she did her best not to flinch; but she took a somewhat noticeable half step back away from him. He apologized again and she just nodded her head a little, not really what to say to him now. It had been an accident after all and so long as they were not seriously hurt there was no damage done. “It was an accident, its okay,” she said softly as she tired not to stare at him too much.

Then her eyes looked at the remains of her broken tent; and that was when her heart sank low. She really had no idea where she had gotten it but it had been her shelter during these harsh months. She sighed a little as she got closer and inspected it. She knew that there was no way that she would be able to repair it. A moment passed and she figured that she was better off and sleeping in that tiny building she had passed on the way here. “Well…. I guess it’s better than me being hurt” she said softly as she looked back to him. His jade eyes were on her again and she was ready to leave since he was starting to freak her out a little more than it should. She kept holding herself and tried to figure out what she was going to do now. When he asked her another question she brought her attention back to him. Shaking her head she sighed just a little. “No, I am by myself”; she said as she looked down at the grass. Technically she was not really alone since Amaterasu was in her head, but it was not like she knew that.

She was getting sick of this and so she decided to take over, just in case this male proved to be hostile. She sighed and went over to the tent and kicked it a little. “I am actually glad it got ruined, it belonged to a particularly rude wolf that enjoyed mating me a little to much,” she said with a more confident tone of voice. Then she looked at him again but this time she was clearly not afraid of him. “Technically Amy is not alone, so long as she has me”.

You're fine! 471

This whole encounter was beginning to turn more awkward by the second. It was very visible the way her uncomfortableness shone through her physique, and Helios could tell the way his jade eyes roved her figure made her feel more sketchy than she should have felt. Yet another thing to feel guilty about, as he finally casted his eyes off to the side and away from her. Comforting that the action really was a foolish mischance of his wandering, the D'Angelo sighed and nodded in silence. They shared their moment looking at the remnants of the tent, the pale woman reassuring it was better the tent was in shambles than bearing any telltale wounds upon herself. That was something Helios could certainly agree on, and began to convince himself it was just a mere accident. No harm, no foul, but Helios wanted to make it up to her somehow for his clumsy mistake. What could he do? Write a song about her, as the stranger she was? Wine and dine her? Kneel down on a knee and express his deepest gratitude? It was already awkward enough, and Helios wasn't particularly good at these kind of things when dealing with females. Their entire species was confusing and uncharted to him, thus leaving him quite vulnerable to much of the feminine charm and magic.

All of a sudden, the situation changed. It seemed like the pale woman obtained some newfound confidence, strutting over to the tent and nudging it a little with her slender foot. Expressing how she was actually glad the makeshift refuge was destroyed (and apparently some not so appealing memories of mating were attached to it), Helios' eyes blinked as there was a gleam of assertiveness suddenly taking captive of her gaze, and even captivating him with surprise from it. The pale Luperci would be known as Amy, or actually, the Amy that was previously shifty and uncomfortable in his presence. Now, this new Amy was forthright in her stance, addressing him with an insistent tone and commanding voice. The sheer confidence of hers shone through suddenly, like the previous Amy was only but a phase. Blinking several more times, Helios wasn't quite exactly sure how to react. "Excuse me?" The D'Angelo said, as if what she told him was offensive. His mind was trying to catch up with making sense of this situation, to which he couldn't find any sensible solutions. "Who are you?" Helios finally asked, shaking his head.

Okay, maybe it's time you leave… screw chivalry, it's been dead for decades, and this woman is clearly bipolar or something… While his subconscious beckoned him to turn and leave now, there was a part of him that wanted to stay. A part of him that he didn't want to admit to stay and see where this was going.

oh boy xD/ 529 words

For anyone who did not know Amy and Amaterasu; it was very obvious that they would be surprised when the two of them switched control of her body. Poor Helios was probably so lost and confused that he looked like he was ready to get out of here. She took a moment to get used to the body again and shook her fur a little, paw absent mindedly rubbing her old scars as she continued to look down at the wreckage that was her former tent. Now that she was in control it was clear that he was not in fact a threat to Amy; but then again she was never sure. She strolled around the tent a little, her hips and tail wagging in sync as she got a better look at him. The black furred male had remained dumbfounded and all she could do was laugh softly; she always loved to see people’s reactions to when this happened right before their eyes. “You can relax Helios, I can explain” she said in a clearly more confident tone than her counterpart had been using only a minute ago. Her ears perked up and her nostrils flared as she started to take in all the sights, smells and noises that made up her surroundings.

Paws rested on her furry hips as her golden eyes looked him over; and she was really starting to like what she saw. “Most people are surprised whenever I take over from sweet Amy, but I can assure you that I and she am the same wolf in a manner of speaking”. There was no way to tell him the whole story and any anger that had built up in her she released when she kicked at the tent until it was fully crumbled on the ground. “To spare you a very long story, Amy suffers from multiple personality disorder, it is me and her sharing one body” and well there was not much she could say. It was not like he could disprove it; he had clearly noticed how the two of them acted so very different from each other. She sighed as she continued to gaze at the tent as she remembered the times that she spent in there with that bastard of a wolf that liked her a little too much. Sure it was her only shelter but she was not broken up that it was gone; she had gotten sick of lugging it around on her back regardless.

Finally after seeming like she was lost in a distant memory her eyes, tail still wagging as she gave him her full attention with her eyes. “You can call me Amaterasu, it is Amy’s proper name but she does not like it very much so I use it to set ourselves apart even more”. Now she felt like she was giving him her whole life story in a more condensed form.
