Apologies for the wait.

The creased lines on the young warrior’s face revealed that she was in deep thought as she wandered through the overgrown gardens outside the once so fabulous mansion. There was not a single intact window left after the snowstorm that had vandalized its way through ‘Souls in February. Would it be necessary to barricade the windows when autumn turned to winter? It was not a concern of hers, for as long as the bedroom she resided in was warm enough, the rest of the building could freeze up solid for all she cared. But she worried about the caged animals in the house’s cellar. She was indeed guilty in mistreating animals. The rats continued to hunger for canine flesh, but well more than a year had passed since they had tasted any. Why keep them there if she never put them to use? Hmm.

But times were changing so fast now, and she did not know where the clan was headed. She didn’t know the canines she led with – only knew that she was not satisfied with the individuals that currently were in the leadership. Halo needed to look up to someone, but the anchors she had worshipped were no longer those in charge. She remained troubled—she was alone now. Two traitors and a flower child, what the hell was happening with the clan? They had a reputation they had to maintain. Inferni needed to be feared and respected, but these were stranger tides. Would it still be the Inferni she had pledged her loyalty to so long ago?

Flowers were beaming at her from the grass covered ground, but the exotic beauty stepped on them all the same, eager to destroy at least something. Nothing was as it should be.

OOC herpderp. Its cool <3 +5

She was on the hunt. The girl had been on hot pursuit of a scent of a stray stag for a quarter mile now; without the aid of her steed – which was most unusual for her. The animal appeared to be in distress and lost she assumed, any other reasoning would of left her puzzled to how it had stumbled so far from its herd. Perhaps it was just a rogue. The woman was lingering in the trees along the outskirts of the forest of Nod skipping soundlessly from branch to branch about 25 feet or so above the individual, which was calling erratically for its companions, layers of sweat matting his fur coat as he heaved out shallowly conducted rasping breaths. Within moments she had aligned herself above his barrel, for there were not many trees left to spy from as the creature scampered for the clearing beyond the forest. He had paused for air, still delirious and the woman was about to seize her chance. She perched there for a few seconds, hand firmly clasping one of her favoured twin slashing blades in preparation for the quick flurry of movement that was to come. She had to do this quickly and quietly, for then he would die free of pain. Ghostly orbs had narrowed with a tunnelled concentration before she tipped forward, descending in a graceful almost gliding downwards spiral towards her aim.

Her weight landed on the stag’s back with a thump and the creature bolted up and off with confusion, jolting and thrashing his magnificent velveteen antlers violently. Before he could de-seat the warrior it was too late, the end was nigh. Her hands had clenched around his neck, and the blade in her palm had licked along the pulsing veins to incise a beautifully clean cut and open the gateway to a red waterfall. Her victim stumbled head-first to the ground admitting his defeat and savouring the last blurry moments his eyes where ever to see. It had ended quickly, and cleaning her blade free of crimson by rubbing it across his soft prize-winning pelt she called for her horse. Her dark steed quickly appeared, darting through the undergrowth to where he would meet her.

The hybrid quickly gutted the animal and firmly secured a rope around its neck for it was far too heavy for her stallion to labour across his back. Within minutes of her kill she was mounted and slowly trotting on her way to the mansion, whereby no doubt she would have to share her meat. Her mount pranced magnificently as he tugged the load baring attached to the rope around his neck, well aware he had something to show off about. It had not taken long before her angelic eyes were cast upon a caramel hued lady of whose appearance she could vaguely remember from the packs gathering not so long ago. She would allow for passing without words if she could manage it - or more likely if this other canine would allow it, for the woman looked to be in somewhat of a motion of deep thought.

Hiii I fail! 300+

It was positive for all parts that no one was around, though it certainly didn’t feel that way. Halo rather liked lashing out on other living creatures, and would have made life a little bit extra difficult for those around her. But she was on her own, and the anger would continue to seethe within as it had the last days. She could not make herself lunge at Silas though, but he was a rare exception. Inferni’s glorious leadership was no more, and here Halo was standing in the messy middle of it all, uncertain and discontent about the shift of terrain. Life here would definitely be harder from now on, both for her and the rest of the clan. She saw no harmony in the leadership in the immediate future, and she couldn’t imagine it at all as long as she remained as the clan’s Centurion. They would no doubt seek to push her off the high and mighty chair she had been given, but she would endure.

But now her bad mood had to make way for sudden awe at the sight she soon was met with at the approaching horse, a mounted luperci and.. was that a deer? Movement had ceased as she simply stood and stared for a few moments, knowing that she had never seen anything quite like it. She didn’t particularly adore horses or those who chose to ride them, but she hadn’t heavily entertained the thought of using the larger animals to transport objects that were too great and heavy for an average luperci. But Halo did not want the woman to keep her peace, though she wasn’t going to conjure a reason to bitch either. A younger, non-leader version of her would have, but she had to step more carefully now. What the hell did Gabriel think when he promoted her to sub-leader. It made no sense, especially because he had decided to promote both his unworthy children soon after and leave her alone in this mess.

Warm caramel hued arms crossed before the Lykoi woman’s chest as she threw a sharp stare at the other, though she said nothing. The lonely twin sword pushed reassuringly against her back, but it was not needed here.

OOC And you think i dont?!? xD +3

She didn’t realise who just she was marching past, for the femme hadn’t even cared to look in her direction properly but had still trotted on past anyway. The little warrior had been so pre-occupied with her demonic stallion’s impressive passage display that she hadn’t even fully accepted Halo as a possible chat, but the predicted aura of conversation this woman would give leaned to the preferred hi and bye combination. It wasn’t until the moment that the caramel shaded woman had turned to glare at her with her arms crossed and a fiery scarlet gaze that the loosened cog had clicked in her head. This was thee Halo, the one Ezekiel had described to her as one of the higher members of the hierarchy the day she entered these lands. A past Hydra gone Centurion and the only soul she was actually keen to acquaint within Inferni, along with the other pack leaders of course. Her icy eyes had clashed to meet with her smouldering gaze before they spitted down her form to the oddly patterned cloth that rang a bell of déjà vu inside the girls mind.

She lifted her left arm slightly and there was the same ruby crafted dragon clinking up against its golden chain that dangled from her wrist. Was this a sign? What did it mean? The woman seemed to be mildly interested in her despite the ferocity of her stare and the girl gently clicked on her mount of who respectfully turned in the direction of the Centurion, and headed towards her in a power-showing motion before stopping his pursuit at a safe distance from the individual. The dismount from her equine had been done quickly to prevent delay on her desired conversation.

Despite the awkward silence that had clustered between the two, she openly offered a reserved conversation. ” I believe we have not met in flesh, you are Halo Lykoi – correct me if I am wrong, Centurion of Inferni.” She stated in a bold voice enrobed with the velvet silk of her native accent, which could perhaps be carefully decoded by a trained and wizened ear. The woman lifted a delicate finger to gesture to herself whilst she began to commute again. ”Euphoria, appointed Hastati…. For now.” she braced towards the silence once more in a slightly more ambitious manner before awaiting response from the other female soundlessly.

It was sad if she didn’t have anything better to do than stare down innocent clan members going on minding their own business. Her sour expression faded some as she recognized her own idiocy. Fortunately, the paler woman turned again to peer at hues so unlike hers. Halo was lightly entertained by their differences, though quietly, also impressed by what she saw. Such bold blue added; what was the secret recipe to achieve such a lovely shade?

A silvery arm slightly lifted, and it was odd how her focus immediately readjusted and zoomed in on the golden chain. Ruby eyes fell down to her own, copper and cream shaded wrist to gaze at the ruby eyed, golden dragon twisted around it. A most fitting gift from Silas. It seemed to be a theme for her; dragons. She wished to think of this female as a thief, but she held no right to view the legendary creature as hers. The horse and its master turned and moved closer, but the Centurion had yet to overcome her initial dislike for mounts, though revealed no distaste or anxiety as she waited.

It seemed the stranger already knew who she was, and it pleased the pitiful sub-leader. A warrior in training stood before her now. Centurion or not, the Lykoi would remain a warrior in soul and body. No less than three hours every day were dedicated to physical training, and this wouldn’t change. The red eyed woman would have thought Euphoria would introduce her to the horse as well, but she was mistaken, apparently. ”And an adept hunter, I sense.” she added to the other woman’s sentence, gesticulating with one hand toward the proud animal that had ended up as a prey. ”A pleasure to meet you, Hastati.” She needed to practise shallow conversation.

Euphoria

The knowledge she gathered had not failed her within these lands yet and with the approached greetings from her Centurion the warrior in training bowed her head in a respectful gesture towards her sub-leader ”The pleasure is all mine.” she said. An ice forged gaze was pointed at the Centurion before commencing her dialogue ”Ah, im adequate. You do have some challenging game around these parts, but im afraid my heart lies within my fighting.” she modestly added, her cold glare melting somewhat in the seemingly softened expression of her sub-leader.

Glancing to the gold cast, ruby-eyed dragon coiling around its holder’s arm she introduced her equine companion, of whom was unsettling a small cloud of dust through the long grass with the constant scraping of hoof on soil. ”That is Fear; he also like me is trained in combat of the mounted type, although there are other ways in which I find him useful.”she said, a brief point being thrown in his direction with conjunction of her speech, intended to not distract the stallion from his temporary pawing obsession. He threw forth a snort towards the greyscale lady with incompetence before inspecting the ground once more, but however the blue eyed girl was taking more interest in her clan mate’s golden arm accessory.

It would have been the same season a year ago the girl had received the token of her guardian from the village’s wise woman; along with the knowledge of where it might have been discovered as a gift from the efforts she inputted into her training. Yet, she had been unable to distinguish or single out the so called ‘dragons’ location in the form of spirit or flesh and such absence had let the girl’s mind wander from its primary purpose to seek out the guidance and knowledge available to harvest from this being. A firm line formed across the girl’s brow as she stuttered in deep thought for a moment before she realised she was staring and drew her gaze away from the woman’s arm.

The corners of the exotic woman’s lips curled the slightest at Euphoria’s well chosen response. Halo was known to be unnecessarily harsh, but the solid shell was in truth ridiculously thin, and the new Hestati was already on her way cracking through the rude demeanour that all but a select few had been confronted with. The Centurion’s slender muzzle bobbed with the weight of approval as the ice eyed woman announced where her heart belonged. But Halo had encountered kindred spirits in the past, and was not confident that the result would not be disappointing. Loyalty was hard to come by in this clan, regardless of the fierceness of its members.

An ear had turned in passive response to the great animal nearby, but when the woman spoke up about the silly named steed, ruby eyes trailed over to investigate the herbivore with a different expression slowly dawning within their rich colour. The woman’s words replayed in her mind. How strange that such a thought hadn’t occurred to her before. Halo had failed to acknowledge horses as the most intelligent species about, and had never quite warmed up to any of the steeds present within Inferni. But lately she had entertained the thought of acquiring one for herself, and her dedication was no doubt aflame now with this revelation. But the arrogant woman was not about grant the silver and blue woman any fame for brining a fresh breath of ideas to her plate.

”Most impressive,” she breathed, regardless. ”I have yet to obtain such a fine animal myself, though the thought is very attractive.” Halo’s slender frame turned to the horse, though it seemed unimpressed with the pair of optimes, denying the sub-leader the attention she craved. ”Could you introduce us?” She asked, deciding to stray from the commanding tones her voice usually possessed. Friendly interaction would have to be the key.

Euphoria

In turn, Euphoria couldn’t help but produce a welcoming expression as she reaped the rewards of acceptation from her upper sub-leader, raking the soil in hope that someday a promising seed of friendship would blossom. A questionable thought entered her mind, of just how experienced the Lykoi was with the equine species. It would all become clear soon enough, however. ”Of course.” she said, signalling to her companion to come closer with a hand gesture. The stallion, due to the intelligence of his breeding was quick to analyse the situation and his obvious purpose within it, choosing to refuse at the first offering and flinging back his demonic crown, his expression twisted into some evil grimace at the unfamiliar Optime. Another toss of his head the stallion was on his back legs, his blood-ringed hoofs thrashing out and hollowing violently in his show of dominance, despite the obvious air of authority this woman had over the whole situation.

Enough was enough and his blue eyed master sought to silence his negligence before his cockiness landed him in a bad situation. ”تظهر بعض الاحترام أيها الأحمق المتغطرس.” She roared towards him, turning herself to face him and clicking her right hand before pointing it towards the ground as she commanded. The shock was enough from the severity of her voice to bring him stumbling down to all fours, before bringing his front left hoof under his crest and bowing mercifully towards the Centurion. A soft snicker shook his crimson nares as the Hastati approached him, with auburn eyes desperately seeking some reconciliation in her that he was forgiven. ”Forgive him, it was his ferocity that drew me to him in the first place but alas, it makes him a sod to train.” she casually slung her ebony mane over her shoulder, blocking her eye contact and focus of her small silvery hand with fingers nibbling away at the rope bound around his neck.

She had it loosened quickly and moments after untied completely, tossing the thick rope into the grass near the body of the fallen stag. ”In the end, it depends what purpose you want the animal to have, heavier built horses may have strength for a heavy burden yes, but not the agility nor speed that he possesses, and his breed are in declining numbers due to their temperament.” she shared knowledgably, aware that the almost untameable temperament of the Arabian had led to the rapidly diminishing numbers of their population, of only which a handful of capable Luperci could ride. She hopped onto his back, before offering Halo a first class seat. ”Come, i show you.” she edged, keen to share the secrets of her steed with her new found acquaintance.

Uh, don't know if you imagine Halo in the front or the back, so didn't add any details XD

She found it strange how some canines managed to control their mounts so well. The horses were prey and far beneath wolves in the food chain, and they weren’t supposed to forge friendship with those who were designed to feast on their flesh. Large, copper pelted ears slammed flat against silky hair as she witnessed the stallion’s response to its master’s signal. Eyes narrowed immediately, pupils disappearing in crimson seas. Halo could easily perceive the creature as something terrible, with its coal pelt and fiery died fur. She regretted the words she had spoken, for the desire to know this creature had vanished at once.

Foreign tones were lashed towards the horse, though Halo’s glare refused to release the malevolent animal to gaze upon her fellow Infernian. It dazzled her how the creature seemed to obey whatever order it had been given, but the moment was already lost. Never had she seen a horse bend a knee for another species, but she was still put off and her guarded demeanour was not likely to change now. Animals such as these were not meant to serve as pitiful pets, and that thought was strengthened now. But Halo knew that she was very narrow-minded compared to others. It was known to ruin a lot of possibilities.

A sharp nod was given to the mount’s owner, merely to acknowledge the words she had spoken. Sunset gaze eventually returned to the blue eyed woman as more words were offered, and the Centurion redirected her focus in an attempt to continue her previous flow of attitude. So what was this Hestati saying? Halo preferred agility above strength any day, but would that mean that she would have to find a horse that suffered from a vivid temperament? The thought was not reassuring at all. ”That’s troubling..” she replied, allowing a slight grimace to inhabit her lips to display her disappointment.

And then, Halo found herself regretting this meeting altogether as the other optime mounted the horse and expected the leader to follow. The muscles in her jaw tightened visibly as opinions clashed together behind scarlet hues. She had no desire to hop onto the back of such a wild creature. But Euphoria was not permitted to witness any weakness from her superior, and Halo had no choice but to follow the small, no matter how much she wished to fight this current. How the hell did these people climb on top of the animal without looking like a fool? The Centurion moved in next to the seemingly tamed animal, though it was visible that she was beyond her zone of comfort by now. She had sat on top of Cotl’s horse once and that was all.

The Lykoi made certain not to reveal her embarrassment as she, without elegance, crawled up on the horse’s back. Whatever was in store for her, she was definitely not ready for this. But Euphoria was not to see this. Surely the Centurion would manage to keep her act together.
