Kansas had been secluded to his room, drifting from one meager activity to another. One moment he was reading from his book. and the next he was strumming a nameless tune on his guitar. The entire time, he wished Savina was there with him, perhaps to distract him from his thoughts with her beauty. It seemed that he always wanted her, that her touch was what pushed him through the entire day. But Savina was nowhere to be found, and that was not at all uncommon. He had long come to understand her responsibilities, which were perpetually much greater than his own and took her away from him much longer than he preferred. Though he wanted her desperately, he was sensitive to her obligations. The trick was to occupy himself until the sun fell below the horizon and he could hold her close to him once more.

The boy fought against his dark thoughts of worthlessness and set his book and guitar aside. For so long he had been wasting his days away, not even seeking the company of his children while he awaited the reappearance of his lover. He searched the house for just one of his six pups, and when he found none of them, he exited the manor with a discouraged frown painted across his pale features. His priority was, before his selfish need to seclude, his family, and when he found none of them he was at a loss of what to do. In his Optime form, the pale Sadira walked across the rapidly growing grass in search of Lexington. The horse was in his usual haunt, t he orchard, where he nibbled at grass and apple blossoms. Kansas approached the blue beast and brushed his hand against the round cheek, pushing thehorse's jaw away from Anu's apple blossoms. C,mon, boy, he said in a gentle tone, and grasped the horse's mane tightly in his hands. He mounted the beast and steered him forward, not sure where he was headed and not caring anyway.

He kicked his heels into the horse;s sides. stirring him forward. They passed through valleys and forests, each setting enough to take Kansas' breath away, but he found nowhere to stop and instead pressed the horse forward. Eventually, the land became rocky and treacherous. It took an hour for Kansas to find a path down to the beaches, Lexington anxious and uncertain with every step he took down the slope of sand and rock. But when an incredible time had passed, Kansas was perched upon his horse on the sands of the beach, his calm turquoise eyes fixed on the endless ocean which seemed to embrace him from where it cuddled the tawny shore. Again he thought of Savina, her journey across this sea and into his arms. Sometimes, the only thoughts that would comfort him were those of his mate. His eyes still trained upon the ocean, Kansas dismounted his stallion and heaved his satchel over his shoulder. Within was plenty of bud and a good pipe. The pale Sadira moved away from Lexington and eased himself to sit in t he warm, soft sand, where he could watch the ocean and let the sound of its crashing waves remind him of the gentle embrace of his lover.

After settling into Dahlia, Adrian took Iliya on a little vacation. He tore them both away from their new home for just a short while, but long enough for them to get to the same beach Iliya explored a few months ago excitedly. Granted, it was a shorter walk from Dahlia compared to Cercatori, but it was still quite a journey. It would be much easier on horse... too bad Adrian hadn't acquired one yet, and had no idea how to go about getting one. But it was okay; both of them didn't mind the exercise or the pleasant, scenic view along the way. Getting to Drifter Bay made it worth the journey; Iliya was just as excited as he was the first time and was running around in the sand and digging holes and doing all sorts of cute things.

The two of them worked their way down the shore. Iliya ran in the waves as they lapped at the sandy bay, occasionally following them as they withdrew and then running from them as they chased him back to Adrian. The blonde male was very content to see his pup so happy, and even more content to see that they even had company here. Last time they came, there was an older female, but they quickly left that day before she got cranky as his Liya.

The male was a stranger from another pack he didn't know and it seemed he'd ridden his horse down here. The gray Russo pup was incredibly eager to run over and see them, but Adrian knew he'd probably end up spooking the horse and didn't want him to get trampled, so he quickly picked the protesting youngster up into his arms. He was getting harder and harder to carry, as he was growing quickly. He was five months old now, and it was showing. Good thing he was so large in comparison to the growing boy, who had a rather small lupus form. In a month or two, he should be able to shift for the first time... Adrian was excited about that. But anyways.

Adrian approached the stranger with a friendly face and a wagging tail, hoping the male wouldn't be averse to having some company. Iliya struggled in Adrian's arms, but he held firm, unwilling to let him go and freak out the guy's horse and possibly make a terrible first impression. He didn't need to go around pissing people off. "Hey there." He spoke friendlily, but was unsure what else to say. Adrian needed to get back into his social groove; he wasn't as well versed in situations like this anymore, and that was pretty sad.

300+

All was still and quiet on the beach except for the rush of the sea breeze and the crash of the waves. In his haste to get away Kansas had not brought anything with him, not even a book, but he needed nothing more than this beautiful, serene place to soothe him and to let his thoughts wander. As the moments passed he began to feel relaxed, the faces of his mate and children bringing him away from that nameless realm that haunted him. With so much to be grateful for, he regretted dwelling there when he could instead be feeling the warmth of all the amazing gifts that were his.

He did not know how much time had passed before he glanced over his shoulder to check on Lexington. To his suprise, the horse was standing completely still and looking down the beach, his ears flicked upright and forward and his eyes wide with alarm. Kansas turned his gaze in the direction of the stallion's and was startled to see a pair of canines approaching him. They were already only a short distance away, to his bewilderment - he must have been completely lost in his own head for their presence to have escaped him until now.

With the large silver pup in the man's arms, the pair appeared to be father and son, though their scents did not match in that way, leaving Kansas to wonder about their relationship. Even stranger was that there was something vaguely familiar about the pup's scent, and Kansas had no clue why. Though he was curious, Kansas dismissed his confusion, waving to the pair in greeting. "Hey," he spoke, a small grin painted across his pale features. "I'm Kansas. The horse, eh, don't worry about him. Not easily spooked." He assumed that the golden werewolf clung to the boy for wariness of the large beast, which was understandable, but the stallion had been around pups since Kansas had acquired him, and would never hurt one. It was blatantly apparent that the pup did not wish to be held - the Sadira hoped that his words would comfort the gray boy's guardian enough to set him down.
