The party had been a success she was happy to report, a mingling of pack with people getting to know each other and strengthening the allied bond between them all, AniWaya and Phoenix Valley could lean on each other in times of stress and hardship. Their north american patterning cousins were a valuable and respected resource, together they could defeat any who came to stand against them and with such the threat of Inferni was decreased if only marginally. But the coyotes had been quiet for a while although she had heard the tale of their poor boy child who had been killed at the borders by wolf blooded hybrids, younger than Roran and scarred up to high heaven. The wanderer Frodo she had spoken to had regaled the tales he had been told of an abusive mother and Jace felt sympathy for whoever had been looking after the boy, she shook her head, she had no ill feelings against Inferni despite the treatment she and Temo had received, they had trespassed after all even if it had been by accident.

The death of a child no matter what species was a sad affair, her hand came to rest against her empty stomach and her frown deepened, eyebrows pulling in together. If she had held and not made a stupid mistake they might have survived and their birth would have been about now or so. Hands clenched into fists before dangling loose. Doggish weak ears pulled back and the female continued on her patrolling of the borders, her eyes were falcon sharp as they shifted to and fro looking for danger, intruders or joiners as was her ranking job, The Guardian, ever vigilant. Her gait was swift and efficient, covering a lot of distance in a short amount of time to complete her rounds as thoroughly as possible.

Her mind mulled over several issues she deemed important as she walked although it did not take away from the attention she threw upon her surroundings, she would not be attacked again or snuck up on from behind by a coward. But this time she need not have bothered for there was no one hiding in the bushes or tree because he was stood in plain sight right at the borders and making no attempt to hide himself. At first she thought him a joiner or a curious folk but as she neared his form she did not like the lecherous smile that grew on his maw. A strange mixture of coyote goldens and wolf browns his markings told of a wolf ancestry yet the over large ears and thinner than usually snout and coloring called out coyote. Her immediate thoughts went to Inferni, speak of the devil eh? But no scent of the coyote clan lingered about him, he was a loner for the only strong scent she could smell on him was himself with a mingling of a few others, obviously people he had met.

She tilted her head upwards a little to see his face, height of about roughly 7 foot so he towered over her 5 foot 9 frame, out of his lupus masked face moon yellow eyes shone. His eyes connected with her own and she stiffened, her fur bristling more the longer he kept their sights joined, he was challenging her! The nerve of the smug bastard. Dislike for him roared through her and she didn't even know his name, still the lecherous grin remained oh his face and her fingers itched with the desire to slap it from him, lets see how smug he was then, aye?

"What do you want?" Hostility tinged her voice as the words hissed from her maw and his smug fucking grin got wider, she growled to let him know that he was pushing it when his hands shot out suddenly and grabbed onto her shoulders painfully tight and hauled her closer against his body where she could feel the hardness of his erection against her stomach, disgust rolled through her and he giggled, fucking giggled! "What's a pretty girl like you doing out on her lonesome hmm? Some men might take that as an invitation to steal you away mhm. I might have to take you myself to make sure no one else does She said nothing because her knee was already on its way up to connect with his privates. Golden eyes bugged humorously and he threw her away from himself, she staggered from the sudden lack of grip and reached down for her hunting knife, grasping the bone handled steel in her paw and raising it threateningly.

"Fucking bitch!" She laughed at his anger and pain and he snarled, face contorted in agony and lunged for her again but stumbled at the lest second and with no hesitation she brought the knife up and didn't need to do anymore as with his own momentum he impaled himself in the throat on the inches of cold metal. His eyes widened as she stared down at them, somehow managing to hold his weight up with the increase of adrenalin in her body, heart beat wildly in her chest. She pushed him to the side and his body dropped to the ground along with her knife that remained sticking out of his adam's apple the motion making the blade slice downwards and opening up a huge gash about two inches long, if she cared to check she would see it had gone all the way through to the other side.

The male gasped for breath several times, blood pouring from both his mouth and the wound in his neck before falling to the floor limp, golden eyes now wide and sightless. The female stumbled to her butt besides him, staring at the form of the man she had just killed in some kind of shock.

Ookami was patrolling the borders for he was quite bored. As he came out of some brush he saw Jace being hugged against another man. His first thought was that she knew this man but he saw something that churned his stomach. A growl escaped his throat and he was ready to attack. But everything was over so quickly. Next thing he knew Jace had killed him. He quickly shifted into his Optime form and ran to her.

"Jace! Are you okay?" He stopped and kneeled beside her. He slumped down so that he was at equal heighth with her. His thoughts flashed to when he had seen her and Lucifer. His hair stood up on end and his throat let out a growl. He used his hands to gently turn her head to look at him. "He didn't hurt you did he?!" Of course there was nothing that he could do to the man now.. he just needed to know if she was okay. He looked all over Jace's body trying to find any wounds.

His heart was beating fast and he was angry with himself. He should have known that Jace didn't know the man. He should have seen the man's intentions as soon as he looked at him. The pain in his stomach that he had been having recently returned for a moment and he pushed it away. He couldn't think of himself right now. He needed to make sure that Jace was alright. She seemed to be in a shocked state.
