Fixed -- plot back on. <3

Though she expected a difficult task from the Hydra, she didn't expect the words that came out of his mouth. Kill Ezekiel? Kill Ezekiel? Kill Ezekiel. The idea turned over in her head as she gazed in disgust at her uncle's mottled features. There was no chance that she would kill Ezekiel, or that she would be capable of it if she even desired such a thing. Ezekiel was a warrior, while she dabbled in useless skills of arts and crafts and other such senseless things.

But she was a liar if she was anything. Her disgust remaining, the fake smile earned from her golden sibling applied itself carefully to her jaws. "Fine." He wanted it, he wanted it, and she would agree that he could want it even if she hadn't agreed to specifics. What purpose was there to be so promising when she was just going to use him in the end? There was no reason. A white lie to further her needs, rather than his. It was perfect.

He didn't know if that was a yes or no. He didn't even know if Ezekiel's death would mean Gabriel's re-ascension to the leader of Inferni necessarily. He wanted to follow Gabriel wherever he went, but he couldn’t do that if Gabriel had nowhere to lead him to. If Gabriel was just another member, some old retired hand, what did that make Hybrid? He was loyal to Gabriel, so his position as Hydra within the clan was useless and redundant. He lost all purpose. Ezekiel was the true problem that lay in his way. If Talitha could eliminate him, he would be happy knowing that a Massacre member could actually live up to their name and do what was in their blood: kill.

“Then he is dead,” Hybrid replied. He took a step closer to his niece, wondering what the fuck he would do. He hadn’t done anything like this before: the last time, he’d been so full of bloodlust, and the first time, he’d been drunk and certain that Ryan had been male. He knew all the reasons he preferred male partners to females, which meant this would be a very mechanical mating, if anything. He didn’t want to look to Talitha to guidance, because that would disgust him too much, but he still didn’t like this awkward feeling he had.

“Come here, I guess,” he said at last.
