Here you go, Ayasha! One thing you can use to beef up your posts is the area, or the scenery around your character - see here how the scenery is described; not just by sight, but by sounds and smells as well!

Skye walked slowly along the forest. The trees towered above her, their trunks thick and sturdy and their leaves a beautiful golden-green. Spring had swept through the area of Souls, and now Summer was almost upon them - she could hear the songs of birds as she stepped through the green and brown forest, and she could feel the crunch of fallen leaves beneath her feet. The crunches were loud, but there weren't as many dead leaves as there were during the fall, when there had been so many, you couldn't see the ground for dead leaves.

She wasn't in the forest for a particular reason; she just liked to walk along the forest and feel the feel of nature. She could smell so many things - birds, all different types, were in the forest; she could tell. Small mammals were, as well - squirrels and chipmunks among them, glad to get out after their long hibernation. She could smell non-animal scents, too - the fragrance of flowers and plants reached Skye's nose, and she was delighted to smell them; she had grown to have an affinity for different plants, and she could now identify some of the plants by their smell - she scented blueberries and bearberries, two of the original plants that had first grown in her garden.

Soon, she came across a fallen log; the wood there was brown and slightly moldy, but she thought it may be able to hold her. Gingerly, she sat upon it - it didn't break, so she remained on the brown piece of fallen tree. It didn't feel uncomfortable, and it was nice to have a place to sit after walking for so long.

Ayasha was also in the forest. It was odd for her to be out of AniWaya. But she found the forest that she was in was really nice. It was green and there was a slight breeze. It swept through her shoulder-length white fur. She had yet to decide what to do with her hair, so had it free right now. It occasionally got in her eyes but the breeze felt nice.

Her ears perked up at every sound. She heard the wind through the leaves and the sounds of animals. She could hear the birds sing to her and she smiled at their wordless greeting. She also could her the occasional deer when it was spooked by her movement or by other creatures.

She could also smell prey. She wasn't hungry but she could smell rabbits, squirrels, and deers. Yet there was another scent as she walked through the forest. Another wolf. She cocked her head to the side as she paused for a moment. It wasn't someone from Phoenix Valley but she had smelled it before. Something Art? She mentally shrugged and headed to where the other wolf was.

She came upon a light colored female wolf sitting on a fallen log. She smiled as she approached. Hi there! I'm Ayasha. What's your name? She said this brightly and cocked her head to the side in interest.

That's an awesome start! Another thing you can do to add to your posts as well as adding the scene is to add your character's thoughts and feelings at the moment.

Skye, lost in thought, suddenly snapped out of it when she heard someone else coming; soon, their scent thick with the smell of AniWaya. She remembered back when Dawali had visited her pack, so long ago when it had first began - she needed to see him again, if only to exchange on news, if not to trade. The male had been very kind to her and Ouija, she recalled, and felt a small pang of sadness as she remembered that Ouija had left to be with Anathema and his family.

She didn't blame him; it had been just after the horrid disaster with Argul, and many of the members of her pack had been feeling unsafe. He had left to be with Addison; she would have to check up on them as well, she realized.

For now, however, she looked at the AniWayan that stood before her; she was a pure shade of white, and said her name; Ayasha. Skye smiled back at her.

"My name is Skye Collins," she said amiably. The girl, although seeming to be younger than her, also seemed to be very nice and polite, an observation she had made about many of the tribe.

As Aysha approached the light colored female, she knew how she knew that scent. She meet Bangle and she could smell him on her. So they must be mates. Hi Skye! She gave Skye a grin. Would you happen to know a male named Bangle? He came to AniWaya not too long ago. She was pretty sure they were mates.

She smiled softly at the thought of mates. Soon she would be mates with Roran Wolfe. Then she would be Ayasha Wolfe. She liked the sound of that. She shook her head slightly.

What was the name of her pack? Your pack is named...something Art, right? She wasn't sure. She didn't even know where that was. Ayasha had yet to go very far beyond the borders of AniWaya. It's nice here. Do you often come here?

That's good, but always try to strive for at least 200 words when you're posting - maybe you could add a bit on how Ayasha felt about Bangle, and Roran Wolfe, and instead of jumping straight from mates to the name of Skye's pack, she could think about it a bit first;
Quote:As Aysha approached the light colored female, she knew how she knew that scent. She meet Bangle and she could smell him on her. She had liked Bangle - he was nice and had a lot in common with her.  He hadn't mentioned Skye, but she was sure by the smell that they had been together a lot. So they must be mates. "Hi Skye!" She gave Skye a grin. "Would you happen to know a male named Bangle? He came to AniWaya not too long ago." She was pretty sure they were mates.

She smiled softly at the thought of mates. Soon she would be mates with Roran Wolfe. She remembered when she first had met him, and remembered how it was to be in a relationship with him. Then she would be Ayasha Wolfe. She liked the sound of that. She shook her head slightly.

When she had met Bangle, he mentioned the pack that he had come from, and she smelled the same pack on Skye as well; it had to do with art or trading. What was the name of her pack? "Your pack is named...something Art, right?" She wasn't sure. She didn't even know where that was. Ayasha had yet to go very far beyond the borders of AniWaya. "It's nice here. Do you often come here?"
Those details alone bumped the word count from 137 to 222; it's not difficult to make a longer post, but it is important! In your next post, you could maybe think about pups, or gardening, or even the scenery around them!
[html]

The creamy white female smiled at the thought of her mate, Bangle - she could imagine how the excitable salesman could have traveled to AniWaya to sell something, persuading people with his trademark 'you liiiiiike?' In fact, that was how she had first met him - he had tried to trade her a small piece of beautiful, rose-colored glass, and they had become great friends from there. Now they had three beautiful pups who were growing every day in their own unique ways.

"I do know Bangle; he's my mate," she said. "In fact, we recently had pups - three healthy ones. Cercatori d'Arte is growing every day," she said, supplying the name of her pack, as Ayasha seemed to be having trouble.

"And it is, in fact, a beautiful day in a beautiful area," she said. "I come here sometimes, but not as much as I should - there are so many plants here, it'd be great for the garden back at home," she said thoughtfully. Her nose could tell her the scents of many plants right now that would go wonderfully in the garden with great use to her and the pack; she had already harvested the first of the waxy berries used to make candles and had melted the wax off of them with fire to make a very crude, but functional, candle which to light her home with. The creation had delighted her.

As Skye confirmed that Bangle was her mate, Ayasha smiled as she remembered the slightly outrageous trader. The one thing that stuck out to her was his 'You Liiike?' And his laughter. Is your mate always like that? With his laughter and that you like? She giggled a little at what he was like. She just hoped that Skye wouldn't be offended by the question.

When Skye moved to the topic of pups, her ears perked up. A common topic. My adoptive parents just had three pups as well. Two boys and a girl. What are the gender of your pups? She was curious about pups. She rather liked them, or at least her siblings. Plus, she kind of hoped to eventually have pups with Roran. But that was a long time away. They needed to become mates first.

Ayasha didn't know very much about gardening but AniWaya grew tobacco and corn. So there must be some overlap. What type of plants do you grow? She tilted her head to the side, a sign of her curiosity. At AniWaya we grow corn and tobacco. But she did agree with the amount of plants. But Ayasha didn't know what would be good for planting. What sort of plants could you take back to Certatori D'Arte?
