It was getting later on in the afternoon after Songan had woken up from his forty winks. A couple of days had passed since he had gained Amaterasu into his home and had begun his work on Saxif’s bow. The wood was strong and the top part of the handle was nearing completion. He always started from the top and made his way down on bows. The sun hung high in the sky as he lifted his body off the pelts and up onto his rear end. A smile formed on his face as he peered outside and out across the land. It was always so beautiful here. He wondered what it would be like later on in the summer time. This season was going to be the perfect time for him to make some more paintings. He gave a small yawn as he stood up and began to head out of his home. He stretched out his arms before walking across the creek and upstream towards Grandfather’s tears. He wanted to stop by there and pick a nice spot for him to make another painting. He didn’t bring any supplies besides the knife he carried on his thigh. He carried a warm smile on his face as he continued along.

As the male headed up the river, he stopped and looked in the direction of the borders. It was if he had a feeling that something was there. He turned off course and began to make his way towards the east side of the borders. He could feel the heat being covered by the trees as he passed into the forest. The leaves glowed bright green as his golden gaze turned upward. It was a wonderful sight to see. As he continued along the mess of the forest, he felt the ground move down from his pads. It was nothing to be concerned about though. His hair hung gently on his side and back as he moved along and soon found himself at the borders. His golden gaze peered around as nothing seemed to be there. He gave a sift sigh before turning back into the woods, though staying near the borders. The old wolf took his knife and sat down on a root, beginning to practice his carving and making another bird.

Liluye flew above the trees, though kept an eye on the rusted wolf as he began to work. She was a relaxed one and liked being around the male when he was alone. She made a small dive down for him, though turned and flew around in a few circles before landing near him. Songan’s golden gaze turned over to the kestrel as he moved his finger out and allowed her to hop onto it. Having her here was now much better for the male. He rested the bird on his knee as he took some old wood and began to carve out his spirit guide. Liluye stayed still as the l wolf began his work again.
